Hi all-

I'd love to hear of a great deal that you found at your Kroger....maybe it was a Managers Special, a Clearance item or even something marked down in the bakery. I love to read about deals so lets post 'em here!

I'll start..
This summer I ran into Kroger on a monday morning. Over on their usually pathetic clearance table they had 10 pks of Schick Titanium refill 4pks marked down to 4.99!! That was when a circulation of $4/1 schick men or womens razors q's were still current. They also had (4) 4pks of the schick quattro for women. I snagged all but two and was thrilled.

Last month.. they had the 4pk of pillsbury cresent rolls on managers special for .10!!! Right in front of it were the .75/3 blinkies so I loaded up like 30+ and used a blinkie for every eight. Looking back I could have gotten the overage but I didnt want to push it as I just wanted them for free. Guess how many pigs in a blanket my kids have eaten for lunch>>matter of fact thats what we are having today as well.
I've also made a few pkgs into pizza crust and 'elephant ears: put butter and cinn and sugar on some' and given some away.

I'd LOVE to hear your scores no matter how long ago...

Have a great day and Good luck with your shopping adventures this week at your Krog.

Mid summer I ran into our small Kroger (which usually has the good clearance) to pick something up really quick..I didn't even have my coupons with me. I looked over the clearance and they had the Boost Kids Essential on clearance for 4.99 with a couple months left before it expired. I ran home printed and grabbed my $5 coupons and picked up 4 of them for free.

Cool! It seems our GL Krogers prices are going up up up. And they are now remodeling so I thought that would = more clearance but so far not that Ive found.
And we only double to .50 where most others get .99 :(

Last year after Christmas I found Christmas cookies marked down and they had a blinkie there and it made overage for each package because of a cat deal that was going on. I dont remember the exact details but those are my fave deals. The ones that are easy (blinkie right there) and super cheap sale/clearance price and then you get a catalina back which most people dont know about.

Tuesday I got 2 10 lbs bags of chicken qtrs for 2.99 (clearance markdown)! I haven't gotten chicken quarters for .29/lb in YEARS.

The store I shop has markdowns continually. I got 8 oz Kraft Shredded Cheese marked down to .99/bag a week or so ago. I always check the meat, dairy, produce and bakery sections.

Wow.. don't you love when froze/still good food is marked down? In my house it doesnt last more than a couple days anyway so I love to see that little orange sticker.
HbaQueen.. we only double .50 as well. And only three per transaction- dont you wish we had doubles up to and including a 1.00?? Id be there everyday. I mean Im there alot anyway lol id have to get a job there to be there more.

What great deals you all posted.. would love to hear more. Ckn for .29 a pound I would consider free!!! :) I bet it tastes better when it costs less too.

Ohh and I love catalina deals. Those cresents I bought were suppose to be on a catalina deal.. but she said it wasnt printing because it had the managers special sticker over the upc.. i was like drat. But free is still free!

excellent find on the Boost kids essentials.. that stuff is really expensive! Scoring it for free is awesome.

Come on weinergirl.. I know youre out there.. and I know youre at Kroger as much as me.. so lets hear a good score you got.

:) Cheers!

Here's a great deal I have to share:

I was at Kroger yesterday doing a couple more mega deals, and I found some Huggies Natural Fit diapers on clearance for $3 a pack. I bought the last three, used 3 $1 off coupons, and my cellfire coupons came off too ($1/1 and $3/2) and my total was $2 for 3 packs of diapers!! Yeah!!!:dance87:

Yesterday the 17th I found several half gallons of 2% and skim milk that exp 19 or 20th for only .59!
And a few others for .69 And some whole milk for .89
The dates were anywhere between 19th - 22nd

I got what they had of the .59 and .69 and a few .89 too.
Sadly we will use it all before it expires so no need to even freeze it LOL

$20lb turkey for $4.73!!!! :BigHand::BigHand:

Earlier this week I was at Meijer and I was going to get a turkey. Never bought one before, don't know what the difference is between a tom turkey and a hen (as in which is better) and so I call MIL to ask. She asks how much they are a lb, and I tell her about the $8 off wyb hen and $14 wyb a tom and $20 in other groceries. (I was doing my weekly shopping for necessities.) She about croaked when I told her the lowest price was $1.29/lb.

"There is no way I'm letting you pay that much for a turkey! That's just ridiculous. You should never pay that much, especially at Thanksgiving!" she says. :giggle2:

She looked in the Kroger ad for me online bc I was still at the store, and said to get one at Kroger as they were .49/lb. She DID NOT mention that it was with an add'l $10 purchase. And I didn't look at the ad either, since I figured she would've given me all pertinent info like that.

Get to the register and my turkey rings up as $25 and I about have a heart attack. The u-scan cashier says its with an add'l $10 purchase and the other half gets pissed because this is another deal where I didn't read the fine print. (He hates being embarrassed. :whistle67:) I tell him, "YOUR MOM didn't tell me that part!!!" I go and look at the ad and am dismayed that I didn't know about that part. Didn't have my binder or anything because I hadn't planned on getting anything else except the turkey and Kroger is way overpriced anyway! Go back to the register and he's saying god, just pay for it so we can leave.

The u-scan cashier made magic and scanned something and made it adjust the price as if I had bought the extra $10 in stuff. I used a leftover $5 cat from the Tombstone Pizza deal a few weeks ago and paid $4.73.

And I was falling all over myself thanking that lady, I was so happy. No idea why she did it, but I am totally grateful. Especially since I'll be mad if I screw up a 20lb turkey my first time trying to do Thanksgiving!!
