BTW, I just checked our PG brandsaver inserts and the Pantene coupon ~ $1 on any two Pantene products EXCLUDE TRIAL SIZE x11/30/09.

UNLESS other areas got the coupon that does not ETS, the inserts coupon is a NO GO.

So.... you could get 4 marscaras for 2.02 overage get 2 pantennes pay .36 plus tax and get $2. back for a MM:BigHand:

I paid 1.06 incl. tax and got back $2. for .94 MM. Tax is 7.375% Not huge by all means but I am after the mascara and I am getting it totally free because this is paying the tax on it after all said and done.

as far as the coupon goes i have 2 that say excludes trial BUT i have 1 that says good on any. I am thinking this came from an insert from September, because i was in KS around that time and got a different insert than what was here where i live.

Mangement is well aware of the glitch
...there is a pantene cpn that is $1/2 it does not exclude trial/travel size... my manager tried to tell me "good on size indicated" means the size pictured and I told him he was nutso... first of all you can't tell what size it is, second that normally P&G prints "excludes trial/travel" on there...so this is an okay deal ...to a point...
He finally gave in on that....
BUT...
I was told that it should not be printing RR's on this item and if they do print we are not supposed to give them out. I have not seen the actual signage for the RR deal so I don't know if it specifies a size or not...usually they do though so unless the actual ounce description of the trials is included on that RR this may not be an okay deal.

Now if the sign doesn't specify....it's an okay, run with it kind of thing...
I wouldn't do it because I know that management now has an issue w/ it...and I like my job ..lol..
You the customr cannot be responsible for how our registers are programmed and it's not really your job to figure out if it 'should' work... but if you see the sign and it says 6oz, 8oz and 12oz and you know it's printing on the trials as well...well I think that's something you need to really say "is getting 2 free trial sized shampoos worth my integrity being questioned?" and decide. Because you don't drive 90 down a residential 30 mph street just because there isnt' a cop on the corner so you shouldn't do this one either.

I'll gladly do this deal regardless of if it was intended or not. I will tell you why.. Many many many times WAG has put something out they make sure to mark in the computer what items its GOOD on and which it WONT work on.

Now if someone made that mistake I'm sorry for them. They should pay more attention. I don't want them to lose their job or anything but it is what it is. Same thing with the GM coupon from publix a week or so ago.

If someone makes a mistake or slips up then a consumer should have every right to take advantage of the deal. Now I used to work for WAGS years ago and I know that there are people in the stores who job (atleast part of it) is to bring to the attention of management of items misringing or something and so this should have been caught awhile ago.

Your analogy of speeding doesn't quite fit. Speeding is against the law taking advantage of a unposted deal (whether intended or not) is not illegal. We aren't getting the deal cause "no one is looking" we are getting cause someone possibly made a mistake.
