6 Eggo Pancakes (they let me sub in my waffle RC since there were no waffles - also I told them I had 6 coupons and I wanted to just have 3 tripled and and the other 3 at face value since that is their policy- - but she was too lazy to untriple them so to speak).
2 - Fruit Loops
2 - Poptarts
3 - Rice
3 - Heinz Ketchup
2 - Dannon 32oz yogurts
3 - Kraft Singles (-$1/1 cheese WTs)
3 - Sara Lee bread (-$1.50 bread wyb Kraft singles Qs)
1 - Simply Orange
4 - Cambels soups ($1/2 IP coupon)
6 - Powerades

-$2.00 on your groceries WT

$7.36 plus tax - will send in for Kelloggs $10 Calendar rebate, so really a money maker after rebate. It is only so high because i figured if I was going to buy 6 Eggos, it would be silly to not go ahead and satisfy on of the Calendar rebates...I have 6 left now.

I also got to meet another HCW member while shopping! That was worth the drive itself!

Cashier was very picky I had coupons for .50/1 on the B1G1 Glade candles. She would only let me use one. This frustrated me because they ring up at half price. I should have told her to just ring it up seperatly so I could have used both but it was busy and there was a line behind me so I just didn't say anything. They also gave overages at this store the last time they tripled but not today. The also did not double any the said 'DND' and they usually do.

2 Organic Valley Half and Half
2 Organic Valley Cream
1 Capri Sun
1 Soft Pretzels
3 Coke Zero
2 Orvilles Popcorn
1 Mentos gum (I can't believe this store actually had it!)
1 Yeast
2 Danamials smoothies
2 Honest Kids organic drink pouches
3 Zesta
1 HT sugar
6 Muellers Sketti
1 Progresso Broth
2 Zatarans rice

Paid $12.47
WHAT A MESS! I had to go to CS to get a refund the the capri sun (shelf tag was wrong). I also had 2 coupons for $3 off wyb 1 12pk coke product and 1 orvilles popcorn. The cashier didn't understand that the coupon beeped because any coupon or R/C over $2.99 needs an M/O....she took off one soda then was convienced that it took off the whole $5.99 but didn't notice it added back on $3. Called for help then her and the other person got into an argument. I stood there and said nothing. Then I paid while she was over at CS arguing. She came back and then tried to explain to me what was going on (I wasn't going to argue). My order needed an override because of the items that had been voided. She then tried to show me on her screen what was what...Then it said I still needed to pay (even though I put my $20 bill in it already)....Different CS had to come over to get my $20 out of the uscan...Finally I got my receipt and went to CS explained what happened. I got my refund for the capri sun ($2.04) and got the soda popcorn thing straightened out...paid my $1.21 for what still needed to be paid for. Then the other guy (the one the cashier hollered at) gave me 2 $5 GC for my troubles!

So all that for $1.64 net!

Honestly I think people either love me or hate me....And God help them if they piss me off.

I was VERY Proud of myself today at that store. I am so tired already and to have to stand there for 20 minutes while this person tries to "fix" things. I don't normally go to this store, but I was at Target and this store is bigger. I like this particular cashier she is always friendly and I really wasn't trying to give her a hard time-however she is also one of those people that you can't tell her how it should be done.

I guess I was in a good mood today-or too tired to fight. Lucky day for the cashiers I guess.

does your experience. in any way, suggest that someone from this site or other coupon site needs to host a coupon seminar and invite "clerks and managers?" :hysterical:

Sometimes I think it is needed. They won't dare listen to a customer when a situation arises. The clerks and manager are surely thinking: HOW can THEY be correct.......?

Just a heads-up on the Tide deal:

I bought 2 Tide detergent and 2 stain release boosters to get 2 free Bounce dryer bar. I thought my total was high, but I did not think much about it until I got home. I was shocked to see that the Bounce rang up full price; I was overcharged $15.98. I called the store and they agreed after looking up my receipt. They put a copy at the service desk and DH picked up my refund for me.

Two days in and I think I have done pretty good. Going from memory, here...

yesterdays order -
6 pkgs Idahoan Mashed potato mix (75c/3) *This q didn't work right, and I had to go to CS to get refunded my 2.74.
Jet Dry Turbo Dry (75c)
White Lily Flour (55c)
Windex ($1)
Vlasic stackers (50c)
Burleson Honey (55c)
Gingerbread PopTarts (55c or 75c, I can't remember what it was)
3 strips of Fleischmans yeast (40c)
No Yolks (75c)
Bananas (no q)
Pillsbury Flour (no q)

Total oop - $10.xx

Todays trip was more... and got several cereals - Craklin Oat Bran (love that stuff and I never see it on sale, but I had a good q), Rice Krispies, Crispix, and Honey Smacks, Egglands Best, 4 cases of Coke, yeast again, Jet Dry again, Progresso Broth, both flours again (I have been baking my own bread alot these days, going through flour like it's water), another Windex, another honey, 6 more Idahoans (with even worse results - they are calling me back after they talk to HQ - it was a different store), bacon, 10 Dannon yogurts, No Yolks, Mazola spray, L'Oreal kids detangler spray, Yakisobas.
Oop was 34.98, but they owe me 2.74 for the Idahoan's Q still. But, regular price was well over $100. :)

All in all I think I am doing pretty good. I may try one more time with the Idahoans at one of the other stores here. :)

Here is my trip. I am in Fort Mill, SC.
1 Nesquick Vanilla Milk - 4 cents

---------------------------

Well, I would have gone to that store but I was near Providence Commons.
Their Nesquick was $1.69. Your store had it for $1.54?

I got:
2 bananas
2 Welch's mango juice
1 Mentos gum (LAST one on the shelf and I do not feel guilty since I only had 1 coupon  )
3 Nesquick
oop = $1.88

A pretty pitiful trip as far as volume, but I'm low on coupons and saving my $1/1 for Super Doubles.

On what isle are you people finding the Quaker rice cakes (tortillaz)?
The store I went to, and I asked 3 different employees, said they did not carry it as it may be a new item, though they did take me to the area where they would be found. Rice snacks under 4 ounce were found and the coupon is for the size over 6 ounces.

I had such and awesome day! #2 has his learners permit and today was the first time he has left the confines of our subdivision into "the Big city" which aint that big. He did really well!
Went to HT first and got-
3 Martha White Blueberry Muffin mix
1 Crisco Oil
1 Pillsbury Brownie
3 Welch's in the carton (first time I have managed to get this EVER!)
1 International Delight White chocolate Raspberry
1 Coffee Mate pumpkin spice
2 Keebler crackers
3 Breakstones Sour cream
1 Yeast
1 BC taters
1 Cinnabon bar
2 Progresso Beef Broth (this store doesn't have the sale stickers on them)
1 Pillsbury Frosting
1 TX crouton

Paid 2.39 after coupons (Internation Coffee beeps and you get overage because they have to MO it) BUT I then went to CS and got $2.42 because they had a sale tag up for the Coffeemate from last week!

Then I went to Walgreens and got 3 cans of pumpkin ($.99 each!) and a paper for $.70 after RR. HT had NO pumpkin and a sign that said because of production issues you could only buy 2. Then I went to Target and got 15 Glade candles, 2 White cheddar Cheez Its and 6 bags of Hershey kisses used my GC to pay and got back $15 in GC! And I get a $5 rebate to boot!
Then I met my mom at the HT next door (she is too old to do the math by herself) and she got-
1 Crisco Shortening
2 BC Taters
2 Zesta Crackers
2 Breakstone Sour Cream
1 Yeast
1 Cinnabon bar
1 TX crouton
1 International Delight
4 Muellers
2 Progresso Broth
1 Uncle Ben wild rice (YUCK!)
1 Keebler crust
1 Pillsbury Frosting
1 Pillsbury Brownie
3 Martha White Muffin mix

Paid $2.52

On the way home I decided I would get 2 more papers also. I didn't thing the coupons were that good until actually used them and deicded there were enough frees and cheaps that I need/use.

Then I got home and I found out I had sold 3 older things of ebay (It has been kinda slow lately).

Jealous of all the Welch's juice cartons! The HT I go to doesn't even carry them.

You know, I would swear I have looked for them before and never EVER saw them. And on Friday I was talking with the Dairy manager and he said the ONLY time they ever sell them is triples. They are on the top shelf and only get one (for all but grape) and 2 rows for grape-so Welch's isn't even willing to pay for prime space in HT.

The Martha White coupon will triple to the full amount if you buy 3, and you end up paying $.13 for Three. Or if you have 2 Q you can get 5 for free. I notice some people seem to love these because they seem to buy a lot of them (maybe because there is usually blinkies for them) so I just wanted to let people know that that coupon works that way (unlike the bumble bee blinkie that does not).

mxmom99
11-09-2009, 10:18:55 AM
i did have a higher OOP than i expected because of the way some coupons are tripling. i got 3 sunny d's thinking the overage from 2 Q's would cover the little bit of cost for the third bottle, but it didnt. and my total this morning was only 0.10 under what i had written down so i am not sure which coupons are truly tripling and which are only covering the cost of the item (my store does not have a self check to keep better track of what rings how...)

And my store was hit HARD for the coupon stuff that came out yesterday. But they had most of what they didn't have on Friday when I went. I ordered coupons for the good stuff last week so I am hoping I can score big time today and tomorrow.

I went first thing today because I was told they were getting a truck last night.

4 Bakers Joy
4 B. Lloyds Nuts did it (peelies found on bags made them free)
1 HT coffee beans
The last HT Parmesan Cheese in the store
1 small Dawn
2 Karo Syrup
3 Comet Rice (some nice person left 4Q on them)
2 Mathatma rice (again found Q on product)
4 small evorpated milk
1 Newmans own Sketti sauce
1 Progresso Broth

A little high for me at $11.12 but I needed whole bean coffee and needed the parmesan cheese.

My store had the 9 lives although they were out of the beef flavor so I got a raincheck. Even though they got a truck last night they still did not have the Heinz, Brownies, Parmesan cheese, Kelloggs Special K bars Pretzel/Chocolate, and McCormick Cinammon and parsley....

My store had it on the top shelf right next to the Mazola bogo sprays for $2.45 (on sale). I think the sale lasts into December. So I had to pay $.20...
I think the CS person said they were getting a display of it or something. I saw a few people walking around with it in ther carts. :BigHand: You did awesome!! Saved upfront, longterm and shared, that's the best.

I'm too flustered with receipts, chucking them asap unless for a MIR, to ever add up to the penny but it was a good week.

I'd estimate I spent $45. In addition to the frees and staples others posted, and Windex and Vivas, I was happy to get tons of pet food (parrots, cat and dog, had to use purina b1g1 big bag raincheck), plus packs of pepperoni and the deli meats using WTs.

Extra surprises were the Welch juices (TY OP!), BS sour creams and Swanson broths from new blinkie coups.

71.16 Oop
360.42 "Coupons Tendered" (VIC savings + Coupons used) = 80%

Just so we are all on the same page in calculating savings, I thought this might help some people:

"Coupons Tendered" - this shows the VIC savings (sale prices) + coupons used
"Total VIC Savings this Order" - this is just the sale price savings, which is already included in the "Coupons Tendered" amount. So ignore this number and just use the first one, otherwise you are counting VIC savings twice.
