Hi,:wavehi:

I did some more "slippery sleuthing/detective work" today about when the computer scanners/registers reset for coupon usage to use your VIC Cards and use your coupons for your "deals", etc. Today when I finished up shopping for one of my friends (who just had a baby), I talked to my "favorite" Co-manager at one of our N VA stores. I asked him if the computers reset for shoppers after midnight/12 a.m. to shop for the "next" day's business.

His answer was the following, "The registers/computers resets at 12:15 a.m. "

I then asked if we could shop and receive the "benefits" of swiping our VIC Cards for the "next" business day. In other words, if the "cycle" of the 20 coupon limit for Doubling/Tripling/Super Doubles will start over. You can STILL use your other coupons after the 20 coupon limit is reached for FACE VALUE!

He informed that most definitely. So apparently, AFTER 12:15 a.m. you CAN use your VIC Card for a NEW shopping trip and use your coupons, etc.

One thing he did tell me is that if you have Competitor Coupons and shop after 12 a.m., usually the Co-managers/Store Managers/"White Shirt" Customer Service Managers, and the Customer Service Clerks will NOT be able to override the Competitor Coupons because the Customer Service Desk is CLOSED at 11 p.m. ONLY the Grocery Managers are on staff for overnight shoppers. The Grocery Managers do NOT know ALL the codes for overriding Competitor Coupons, etc. like the Store Managers, etc.:wink7: He suggested to come before 11 p.m. for Competitor Coupons, etc. if you may need overrides!:wink7:

Just a "heads up" for "y'all"!:whistle67::BigHand: I haven't shopped after 12 a.m. yet--so let's see--shall we?:wink7:

Hope this helps you for the TRIPLES THREAT week of shopping!

Great information, thanks. Might be worth making sticky!

:bump93:You are welcome. I don't know how to do that. Perhaps one of the Moderators could. Right now, I am multi-tasking--clipping coupons, laptopping--:giggle2:, and planning.

By the way, someone from another site--when I posted the same info--asked me what time the managers usually arrived at HT. From what I was told, "White Shirt" Managers around 8 a.m., Customer Service Desk Clerks at 7 a.m. (when the Customer Desk opens at 7 a.m. and closes at 11 p.m.), and the other Store Managers/Co-manager usually by 8 a.m. (maybe 7 a.m.) to 11 p.m.

Hope this helps--

I am very new to all of this and this is only my second triples event at HT.

So...does this mean triples start tonight at 12:15 a.m.? With most HTs being 24-hour, I was unsure what time the new week's sale actually starts and I may want to go super early tomorrow morning before work!

This issue is made easy for me.. our HTs are only open 6am-11pm. Obviously their registers reset somewhere between 11pm and 6am, but I guess it doesn't matter when, unless they suddenly decide to become 24/7 stores. :rolleyes24: Still, good to know, just in case.

Ah, and I'm not sure about HT, but our Bloom stores, although they open at 6am, the registers won't start doing triples/super doubles until 7am. So even if your HT is open 24/7, it might not start tripling until a certain time in the morning, like 7am.. then again, it might start at 12:15am, who knows?

In the past, triples have always started at 7 AM, even if you have a 24-hr store. The OP was saying that you could (theoretically) do your first trip Wed at 11 PM and then wait until after midnight and do another trip (because it would be Thursday then). I've heard mixed results in the past when people have tried this. Some say it works and some say the q's didn't triple on their after midnight trip so it was a headache. :shrug7:

Thank you for the information! This was what I suspected, but just couldn't really find an answer!

I have shopped past midnight during one of the triple events. I tried to rush but unfortunately my receipt's time stamp was around 12:03 AM and I was so disappointed because I thought I won't be able to use my coupons 6-7 hours later, which was also the last day of the triple event. To be sure, I called customer service to ask if she can "reset" it because I wanted to do another trip and use my 20 coupons. She said she could not find any coupons usage for that day and I assured her I did use my coupons on that day, right after midnight. Then she told me that the system resets at 2 AM and for that reason, my transaction will be considered as the day before. :) I was sooo happy after that!!!

Cheers...
