Why do I always lose my messages...on here? Ok, I heard of a rummor that Nov 14 - January 2nd wags is giving away a bottle of champagne with a purchase of a Revlon lipstick or mascara...I need a confirmation on this if anyone knows or heard of anything like this? I am not sure how this would work...voucher, coupon or what? I am thinking of the under age customers...someone, please? Thanks!:shrug7:

None of the Walgreens in my city sell alcohol - I don't think they have a liquor license (required per city ordinance) so I doubt they could legally give away champagne. That would be an interesting promotion though!

The BA told me that the Houston stores are going to start selling booze. Maybe this is going to be a promo for introducing customers to the fact they are now selling it.

I heard that the Walgreens here in Des Moines are going to begin selling alcohol too. CVS in my little Illinois town used to carry a pretty nice liquor selection for a drugstore so who knows?
A Revlon + booze combo sounds so odd, but you never know I suppose. Mascara wands + tipsy doesn't sound good to me. Teehee.

I see way too many restrictions when it comes to alcohol (and tobacco) to have this kind of promotion.

I'm in IL (about an hour outside Chicago), and our store started selling alcohol within the last few months. CVS has sold it at least since I started shopping there over a year ago.

Maybe my hubby will start joining me on my Wags excursions if they start selling beer there :patty6: Holy cats I wonder how much they charge for beer if it falls in line with their other regular prices. $20 for a 6 pack everyone!

My RiteAid sells beer, which I've always found a little odd. The prices are usually about the same as Walmart or a grocery store.
I wonder if WAGS starts selling beer, could it be purchased w/ RRs?

our cvs sells wines and beer,
i know for a fact the cvs in ky i shop at has always sold liquor (like absolut and vodka and stuff)
Dh just said a walgreens in downtown sells beer already

That would be an odd promotion - I worked for Walgreens many years ago - back then we had a liquor department and they were all removed by the time I stopped working there. (this was between 1995 and 2001) I never knew why they removed them, but it is interesting to hear they are coming back....

A manager from CVS told me that every Friday someone from Walgreens would come in the store and purchase alot of alcohol to sell at Walgreens isn't that odd. But true.

One of the WAGS close to me - the 24 hour one - has a rather large liquor store in it - it is off to the side but has it's own walls that kind of block it off. It is the only one that I know of that sells liquor.

Most if not all the Wags in CA sell liquor/alcohol. The one close to me in Tx started selling alcohol a couple of weeks ago.

Almost all Walgreens will be carrying alcohol in the near future. I think it is supposed to be rolled out to all stores sometime first of the year 2010, but I don't imagine an RR program like that ever happening. Who knows could be wrong, but have not heard anything about that.
Most stores will have a very small selection, 1 fridge case of beer and a 3 ft section of wines.

I am not exactly sure why they quit selling it, I think it was because the profit wasn't there or something like that.
Liquor can't be purchased with RR.
I can't imagine a promo that gives away a free bottle....like someone else posted to many under age customers that would purchase the item and then not be allowed to get the free bottle.

Maybe it's a bottle of champagne colored fingernail polish to roll out with the holiday season or something like that?:smile83:
