ARRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHHH! Nothing but trouble today for me at Bilo- first they have so many "suits" walking around pushing cards full of papers and leaving them in the middle of the isles. On top of that, they have people pulling items out of the frozen places saying "no this is not right". You could not walk down the isle because of all the people.
Then the woman gives me crap about coupons. She is so rude!
So I get home, realized they over charged me-I call speak to a manager-no problem come back and they will take care of it. Well I get back-oh nop things were charged correctly, they just never took the sale stickers off the racks! Ok, well is that MY fault??? ARRRRRRRRRR!
Needless to say, I will never spend a dime in that store again!

Sorry is you are a Bilo fan, i just could nto believe them today and had to vent!

Sorry you had a bad time! I hate it when that happens.

I've never had any problems with Bilo, the manager at my Bilo is great.

Don't give up....just sounds like a bad day altogether! Make friends at your store....share q's with the clerks. Be prepared when you get there....we all know checking out when you are getting a bunch of stuff super cheap can kinda be nerve wracking! Best of luck next trip!!!!!

My Bi-Lo manager falls all over himself to make things right when I have a problem. I could not ask for a more friendly, and more importantly, coupon friendly place to shop. I've made friends with one particular cashier and he has given me the special premium tickets when the register doesn't spit them out to me. I'm talking about the free gas or the free turkey specials.

Sorry you had a bad experience, but, maybe you could give them another chance. It couldn't hurt.

Thanks guys. I think its the store, there are a couple of them around me, one smells of rotten meat, and then this one...I think its just the stores. I dont know.
I love Publix, I always have and people there are great never any issues, they help with coupon deals and I was even asked to day if I had all the ones from the service desk-its like night and day between the 2 stores. I go to BiLo if they have the BOGO sale I like to get the fuel Perks...so I guess right now no fuel perks for me at the moment.

My manager does too. Last night when I went in I had 10 b2g50cent off Gatorade, and 10 Buy 2 get a free bag of chips. I tried buying 20 gatorades and 10 chips and using the coupons. It would take all the 50c off but only a few of the free chips. She came over and said I could only use one or the other. I told her the other day it let me use them all (cause the cashier pushed them through). They tried it again and it still wouldn't do it. So she told me I could save some of the coupons for later. I was trying to figure out which coupons I wanted to use and she said let me try one more thing and then she pushed them all through. I thanked her and told her I loved shopping there, they were alot more coupon friendly than Walmart, they hated coupons. She just shrugged and said "its not like we don't get our money back"

By the sounds of it you won't have to shop at "BiLo" much longer. While in Bloom today someone I have become friendly with said the 'sale' went thru, so she thinks by the start of the new year, BiLo will be no more. =(

Yeah, I brought that up in my not so nice conversation on the phone with them. Then the woman was very quiet after that...I dont like to be nasty to people, but when they just dont listen to what you are saying and argue with you when you know you are right it gets frustrating and pushes my buttons.

I am pretty sure they have to give you the ticketed price. IF they didn't honor their ticketed price-tell them you will go to the BBB (which you can make a complaint online-I have done it with Charter Communications and got my $120 back). If they don't resolve the complaint it goes on the public record for others to see when they look. Also I am pretty sure it is illegal to NOT honor the ticketed price, because after all you are 100% right, it isn't your fault they were ticketed wrong. YOu said a manager on the phone said they would fix it, which dimwitt did you talk to at the store? I would have requested to take to THAT manager or another manager and no one any lower.

I am sorry you had a bad experience!

Bi-Lo is actually one of my fav stores. I never have probs with coupons and if an item is advertised in the store for a price, they honor it. Plus I always find really good mark downs in the organic produce section ;)

After talking to a second manager, who was there the first one was gone for the day, she was a you know what and I told her where to go and how to get there and walked out. I wanted nothing to do with them again. Its not the $, it was only about $5.00, but it was the point that they were so rude about the thing. The little pull offf tag thing was sitting on the service desk counter beside my reciept and the coupons that they pulled from the register.
They can have the $5.00 to help them recover from being bankrupt, I want nothing more to do with them. I usually dont get upset at people at the stores, but when I know I am right, I will defend myself. In this case, I guess in the long run they won, but all the customers who were there heard too...

This happened to me on Powerade recently. Manager had, I think they HAD to, honor the sticker price. It as their mistake.

All those people in suits may have been visiting from the main office and doing a store inspection, inventory, etc.
It COULD have been some Food Lion executives visiting to look for reasons why Bi-Lo is in bankruptcy and why Food Lion wants to buy them and how they think they can make things better. If they do buy Bi-Lo, and adopt the Food Lion coupon policy then I'll lose 4 Bi-Lo's within 8 miles radius, sad for me. Good for places like Harris Teeter.

If the sale stickers were on the racks when you purchased, by law they have to honor that price, or it's considered false advertising. I've actually had an argument with a manager at an Old Navy about this, went back to the display and took a picture of the display with the wrong sale price with my phone on my camera, and told the store manager that I'd be happy to call their District Manager and let them know that I'd be calling the Attorney General of my state and reporting them for false advertising. My price got fixed REALLY quick.

I have good Bi-Lo markets near me, but Publix is close to me and I have no hassles there. The Greenville SC stores will take food lion, bi-lo, and bloom coupons without blinking. There is a reason why it's usually a pleasure to shop @ Publix. 4get Bi-Lo and tell Publix why you love them. They will love you back. Bi-Lo lost a customer for $5. For a store of that magnitude, that is beyond stupid.

Ok have to go back to work now.

I just have to add in that I went into BiLo the other day (with guard up) and had a great experience! I don't go to BiLo that often anymore since they closed the one that was closed to my house and they built a Publix 2 buildings down from my work. I had to get help from one of the managers (only person in sight at the time) and he helped me find stuff without a complaint and as soon as I thought I was done, I couldn't reach something so I had to go back to get him to help me. I was expecting a sigh but instead he smiled and got the item without a problem. At the register there were 2 young guys and they were both as friendly as could be.

I'm sorry you had such a crappy experience. Write to the corporate office and maybe they will make it right or do something nice to get you from leaving.

Sorry you had such a bad experience!
I have a Bi-Lo about a mile or two from my house, and then there's another one about 20 minutes away (in the opposite direction, where I rarely go). I don't go to the one near me very often because the store isn't that nice & the people are NOT coupon friendly. They nit-pick everything like I'm trying to commit a crime or something - and I'm very conservative with my Qs!! The other store is the complete opposite. But since Harris Teeter & Lowes are both closer than the other Bi-Lo, and both are clean & SUPER great about customer service, I go to them much more often.
