For who ever answers the phone at CS tommorow when I call!

I live in butler but usually shop in Cranberry any way. Since none of the stores had broth I started roaming and ended up on my way to Camp horn. I sat at the exit for a 1/2 hour because of construction. Get in side and to my surprise they have 26 cans of broth! I ran to the SCO since I have no coupons any way but notice all of the cat machines are off. So I go to the only open register and ask why.....They are out of paper! All of them. Been that way for a few days. It never came in on the truck!

Now if they ran out of bags and they never came in on the truck wouldn't they call another store and borrow some? I know there are 5 other stores close by! I bought them anyway and plan on making the biggest stink!

I am surprised no one else mentioned that camp horn has been out of paper all week (which is what the cashier said. I don't believe her but will use it to make the store look bad.)

Actually, I would be nice and explain what happened about the machines being out of paper. Probably get better results that way.

If this happens again - go to CS and ask them to either write a detailed RC for the cats or ask them to put it on a gift card. If they advertise it they have to honor it somehow.

I completely agree. If you call them yelling, then you may get your catalinas (which you rightfully deserve). BUT you will not only work yourself up, making yourself upset, you will upset whoever answers your call. THEY did not do anything. They are simply the messanger, and if I got a call from someone and they just yelled at me for something that I had NO control over it would infuriate me, and ruin my day. I learned this lesson one day when I went to Wendy's. Got my order, drove away, realized that they forgot something, went back in, calmly explained what happened, and they turned around and gave me what they forgot, but they also gave me a free large french fry. (I :<3: fries!) So if you call and are calm and friendly and explain the situation you may get something for your inconvienence. You may not, but there is no need to get everyone all upset. UNLESS they refuse to give you your catalina's. Then you may yell your head off!:hysterical:

I never said I was going to yell at the guy who answers the phone. I would hate to be the poor guy who had to deal with "Hey FYI one of your stores is blatantly false advertising and none of your stores was adequately stocked."
Did I make a big stink? yeah...did I yell about it? no.
For the record I'm allergic to bee's.

^What does that have to do with anything?^

I agree in these times why not be polite. As for "making the store look bad" I disagree the managers and workers have a lot to deal with at those stores what with people being rude to them all day and everything else. To boot their personal lives may not be perfect.

I say "Be kinder than necessary because EVERYONE is fighting some type of battle.":wavehi:

I've heard Giant Eagle outsourced their customer service phone service to some company operating out of a foreign country. Your call will probably end up in Mexico or India. Don't you just love it when you are already frustrated and can't understand a thing the other person is saying on the other end of the phone?

I'd email if I were you.

No this guy was definitely American and he got it. He even said "1000's of customers didn't get what was coming to them and the store is already losing business because of the construction."

For everyone who who suggested I be nice-Thanks and I hope the next time you are shopping at Giant Eagle your store isn't out of Catalina paper.

Maybe the outsourcing did not work out or it may depend on the time of day that you call. My SIL is a manager for Giant Eagle and complains about it quite a bit when she has to call. I'm going to ask her the next time I talk to her.

Are you faulting people for suggesting you be nice or are you truly thanking them?

I am saying-For those of you who do not shop at Giant eagle but always seem to want to throw your "You should be nice." 2 cents in on every thread where some one is complaining, I am sorry you only know how to voice your dissatisfaction with a store by yelling and screaming but I am not like that. I can nicely explain when a store, whether it be the corporation, managers or employees, are inexcusably incompetent and dropped the ball.
