I have been doing serious couponing since last spring but until about a month ago when I started really reading here I was not aware you could do cat deals more than once at Giant Eagle.

So with the Pillsbury Sweet Rolls or Biscuits 6/$6-get 4 oyno....can this one be repeated with multiple transactions?? I have a TON of great Sweet rolls coupons and with the holidays I like to have something quick to make for breakfast when we visit my family on Thanksgiving and Christmas. (I usually do breakfast and my mom does the holiday meal-with my help of course) I have 16 year old twin nephews who could each eat 2 cans themselves so a quick and cheap item is ideal.

I am just curious if it will work on repeated trips like the Heinz deal and this past week soup deal?? I did try this on a 2nd transaction last May (I have no idea what the product or deal was back then) and when i tried to do a Cat deal similar to this one I did not get the cat did not ask CS since I figured it would not allow it.

Thanks a bunch!!!

Unfortunately with most Cat deals we don't know until someone tries it. But there are some helpful hints to decide whether it is worth the possiblity of needed a trip to CS to have it corrected: If the ad/deal says buy (X) # or $ or more then usually it is a one per order. If it just says buy X # or $ then usually you can do multiples. This is just a general clue - but not always the case, so you may need to either try it out or wait to see if someone else has.

Hi, welcome, and to answer your questions: I don't think I've seen any that can not be done over multiple transactions, however sometimes you can only get one per transaction (i.e. doing 8 soups in one transaction to get 2 CATS does not always work). If the machine does not print, CS is usually great about fixing it for you. Sometimes people here call Catalina directly if they don't print, which I have also done, and they generally send them out right away. There are great people on here too who don't mind being the 'guinea pig' to find out how the deals are working and then post right away so you will be more prepared when you do yours!

Welcome! :wavehi:

Yeah, thankfully GE is not like Wags so you don't have to worry about if you can 'roll' the oyno's. So you should have no problem getting 6 at a time and using the previous transaction's oyno on the next.

And yeah, just watch the weekly thread to find out which deals are allowing multiples per transaction, sometimes that's nice so you don't have to look like a goof by going through the line 20 times (not that it's goofy...the cashiers at my store all look at me like I'm a goof when I DONT have multiple transactions now LOL) If I have time and the store's not too busy I do one deal per transaction just to keep my OOP low.

With the Pillsbury I highly recommend not doing more than 6 cans in one transaction, but you can do many transactions of 6.

Jen mentioned the key words and I agree that if it is a certain number or $ amount it may or may not produce multiples, but most of the time from what I experienced it does. I never tried doing multiples if it says 'or more' because I've seen those that have tried and I don't remember one time that it produced multiple cats in the same transaction.
