I know that is far from everything, but my in-laws are visiting, so that is all the time I am going to take for match-ups today. If I have missed anything that would make for a great deal, make sure to point it out for the others!

Don't forget that there is a catalina deal for the Betty Crocker fruit snacks (at least for the next couple of days). Look in the other forum for specifics: http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/kroger-catalina-deals-post-them-here/266252-save-up-3-50-qyb-bc-fruit-snacks.html#post1958749

I am a little disappointed myself. The prices aren't quite as good as last year's deal. I know this is when I stocked up on Swiss Miss and Hormel chili, both were .50 after the deal. Pepperidge Farm bread was also cheaper last winter. These may just be the new sales we have to get used to.

I saw in some of the other regions that they had unadvertised items as part of the deal (like Betty Crocker potatoes). Do you guys know if any of those are going to be part of our region?

there are a TON of deals that are not included in the ad or the print out at the store. For example - Libman cleaning products. I was looking to see the playtex gloves (which are included and free in other regions but not marked at the store I went to yesterday) and saw the Libman dish scrubbers normally 3.99 only $1 after the deal. The potatoes are included and are .99c after the deal. Use the .40c coupon on coupons.com to get them for .19c! Some of my favorite deals:

Carnation Milk - use the .50c/2 on their site to get these for .10-.20c
Del Monte Tomatoes are .49c with the deal and there is a $1/5 coupon in an insert (can't remember which one) making them .24c!
Simply Pillsbury cookies - 1.99 use the .55c Q to get them for .89c
Birds Eye lightly sauced are 1.49 - use the .50c q to make them .49c
Smart Balance Butter is 1.49 - use this printable (http://coupons2.smartsource.com/smartsource/index.jsp?Link=E3ZRDETDN4L3O) to get it for .49c
I can't believe it's not butter spray is 1.49 - use this printable (http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=qjdhcey30188383&bt=vi&o=57515&c=IB&p=E41DCu5d) (IE) or printable (http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=qjdhcey30188383&bt=vg&o=57515&c=IB&p=E41DCu5d) (FF)to get it for .75c
tons of sponges and scotch lint rollers for .50c
If you got the $3 surf or snuggle Q's then these are .49c after deal and coupon.

All of the Nestle baking chips are included (1.99) and they are the big bags. Use with the recent .50c off any chips Q to get them for .99c

Something I was happy about was that Hormel Turkey Pepperoni was included. This is NEVER on sale but we love it, so to get it for 2.49 instead of 3.99 was fab to me. There are .55c Q out there if you havent used them yet which would make them 1.39 for a big bag of either regular or turkey pepperoni :)

My suggestion is to walk the WHOLE store sometime this week since there are so many unadvertised deals. That way you have plenty of time over the next 2 weeks to stock up. HTH!

Oh and last night I went (our store does both ads on tuesday nights) and got 30 items for $22 after tax and everything!

One more deal to note - the keebler fudge house cookies are included. A while back there were .55c and $1 printable coupons out there. If you printed them and aren't already over stocked with keebler cookies then this would be a great deal (.19-.29c for cookies!) if not there is a 1.50/2 on coupons.com making them .54c

Thanks for the match-ups and for the reminder about the BC fruit snacks catalina! Woohoo!

Jenn - I saw the BC potatoes marked as part of the mega event last night.

Orbit gum 14 pc is also part of the mega event, $.50 after discount. There are some tearpads at Kroger for $1.00 off wyb (1) Coke 20 oz and (1) package Orbit gum (14 pc or 35 pc). I found the tearpad stuck to the door of one of the little refrigerated coolers by the cash registers. I don't know how much the Coke 20 oz bottles are though...$1.49?

Rotel 10/$10 use the $.50 IP to get it free (I don't have the Q yet, assuming it can be doubled).

Thanks everyone for posting about the unadvertised deals. I hope to make it out soon to look at the deals at my store. So far what I see that hasn't been mentioned is the Kotex on sale for $2. There are several coupons available for this brand and a cellfire coupon available for $1/1 so these would come out to $1-$1.50 for 2 boxes. Not bad.

Also with the free quick cooking oats deal at Walgreens this week and the cheap Nestle chocolate chips I'm thinking it's time for me to make some oatmeal cookies!

there are also unadvertised deals that I saw on the sign in the middle of the store but didnt pay much attention to what it was (for the thursday sale) I'll let you know what else I see. I know for sure I saw those iced brownies but don't remember the price. So basically I'm no help right now!

Thanks for the additional information. I like to be prepared with all my coupons and list before I get there. Is there a limit on how many times you can do the mega deal? In the past I haven't really stockpiled, but I am planning on doing that this time. Especially with the BC potatoes and Hormel Chili.

I thought I'd share a little surprise I got today. I was buying 6 of the Krusteaz pancake mixes because I had three of the $1/2 coupons from 10-11 SS and I thought .50 for a box of pancake mix was a pretty good deal. Well, surprise! The Cat machine spit out two $1 OYNO's! That made four of them free!! Don't know how many you have to buy to get the cats, but it looks like it may be B3G$1.

Hope that helps someone.:wavehi:

BTW, these are part of the mega deal.

KROGER BUNS-OR- WONDER SANDWICH BREAD, 10/$10

HORMEL CHILI, *$0.89 each (when you buy 10 participating items with card * $1.39 each with card - $0.50)
Someone sent me a Q from an insert (apparently) for $2 wyb 3, but it didn't pop up in my database search?

There is a Wonder bread loadable on shortcuts(our store doesn't carry Wonder bread

We went to the store today and I jotted down a few things I don't remember seeing posted yet. *looks at clock* I'll go get the kids off the bus then come back and post them. Also found some good tearpads and booklet coupons today. :D

danas_mom

OK here's the notes I jotted down today while at the store:

Mega event prices after the .50 off -

Quaker True Delights bars 2.99
Nonni's biscotti 2.49
Duncan Hines frosting 1.17
Bumble Bee tuna small pouch (albacore included) .49
Reynolds parchment paper 2.49
Chapstick singles .50
Kleenex 1.49 (other areas got better prices I think :( )
Pillsbury Simple whatevers cookies 1.99 - there is a 1.00/2 shortcuts that works
Kraft cheese 2.99 - this is the 16 oz bags, makes them 2.49 each after $1/2 IP
Scotch lint roller small size 1.00

Be careful of the Playtex gloves, my store had the single pair packs with the big cuffs in the wrong place on the shelf, the shelf was marked .75 after mega price but the UPC did not match. They would have actually rung up 2.49 after.

I found tearpads for $1 off WYB 2 bags fritos and 2 cans hormel chili. We don't use canned chili enough to make that a good price for us.

Just wanted to give anyone a heads up that shops at the Kroger in Southaven on Goodman and Getwell. I bought some of the fat free carnation milk and got home only to notice one of them had expired in JUNE of this year! I took it back and there were a lot of them on the shelf that had the saem expiration date. Luckily there was a stocker right there that I could show and he pulled the rest off the shelf.

Also, this is totally random, but with the deal you can get the simply cookies for .89c. I baked some for my husbands work today and ended up cutting the pieces in half for the second batch bc they made HUGE cookies. Once you cut them in half they make normal sized cookies, still plenty big. IMO to get 2 dozen cookies for .89c (that I dont have to mix up) is a good deal!

I was considering doing this too, but I figured that since the mega deal runs through 11/10 that some of these prices might drop before then
-I certainly hope they do!

BTW- after a lot of online searching I found a list of participating items that someone on another forum picked up at her Kroger in TX. I'm kind of using this to organize my coupons, so I won't miss anything. There are a lot of items on the list that have coupons expiring on 10/31-looks like I might be spending my Halloween at Kroger. :hectic1:

What upsets me is that some Kroger stores triple coupons or double $1 q's, but my stores (Little Rock area) only double up to .60cents, and some accept expired q's, too. Arkansas is one of the poorest states, I would think, so we need more promotions and deals.

Your logic works for me, but what about the fact that our southern states (I'm in MS) are the fattest in the nation? Maybe they jack our prices and/or don't give us the good deals because they know we'll buy junk regardless of the price? Junk: all the boxed goods, canned goods, processed foods that normally have all the good deals/coupons in other regions.

Just a thought.

People talk about the deals that they have seen discussed in other regions when waiting for upcoming sales... I have to admit I have gotten to the point that I never even look at the threads in the other regions because I am always disappointed with the differences. I glance thru the Cincinnati ad (I think it is) if I see someone talking about an upcoming mega event or other special thing, but I try not to pay too much attention to the prices - just the items. That way if I see a sale on something coming up that we use all the time I can order coupons to match it. But if I get psyched up for the prices I'm almost always disappointed.
