Well, well, well - Walgreen's® has done it to us now. They have gotten generous :giggle2: here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and given us .01˘ extra on our RR's on the Robitussin® To Go and the beano® so we can not roll them for one another. The manager told me that they would not adjust down the RR. So I say, they can stick there generosity where the sun dose not shine. From now on I’m a CVS® :BigHand: customer for life. To bad, so sad, see you later Walgreen’s. How nasty can they get?

The RR's have always printed for one cent more on the FARR items, not a new thing.

This is actually nothing new. They've been doing it for months now. That's one reason why we use fillers.

I really miss the old days of being able to truly roll an RR into the same product that produced it. I'm horrible at rolling RR's and my stores don't seem to have any decent low cost fillers. I don't have a CVS.

Never gave it any thought before, but come to think of it they have been one cent more for a while now.

if you don't like getting fillers, have you asked your store if they can price modify your items UP a penny?

It is because RR's are coded as manufacturer coupons and it is impossible to make them valued at $2.49, $2.99, etc.

Now if they wanted to help us out they'd price the stuff at exactly $2.50, etc. Isn't it funny now it seems like even on the buy X amount promo's(like buy $20, $25), they are starting to price stuff more at like $3.99 or $4.99 so you can't even hit the amount without buying an extra item.

I'm sure this is not an accident.

I like having the RR's a rounded amount as opposed to XX.99. It makes it easier to figure the deals. That being said, I do have quite a collection of Halloween pencils that I will be giving out along with candy on Halloween.:giggle2:

:rolleyes24:Why are you complaining about getting stuff for free?

You do realize that free is free is free. They have been that way awhile and your complaining cause you can't get it free?

They round up to the nearest $.50. A while back, there were toothbrushes advertised as $3.29 with $3.29 RR. The RR printed for $3.50.

Oh man! LOL! I chose Halloween cups vs. pencils this year. I don't do Halloween, so what to do with 40 cups? :giggle2:

I don't think she's complaining about the free part. LOL! I understand her frustration trying to roll RR's when deals are so sporadic right now. If we can't spend the RR on something of true value to us, then it really wasn't free afterall, kwim?

That is exactly it and that is why I really dislike RR's. It really stinks that the number of RR's can't exceed the number of products either.

Yup! Ya know, it's funny how I pick my sales now that I have my stockpile built. On weeks when pencils & cups are 8/$1, I clean up. LOL! If nothing's under a quartah...forget it, baby! :giggle2:

It's .20 gelatin week:BigHand:, but I'm skeered of the flu.

hmm...i found lots for $0.10 in the clearance section. mighty glue adhesive stuff, little charms for crocks, and more. it is annoying to have to add fillers but like someone else said...free is free. i get annoyed bc one of my wags always charges tax on the total before coupons/discounts. yesterday i paid $0.96 in tax on $0.08 in product. ouch! the other wags, about 10 mins away, only charges tax onthe final total. that is where i clean up!!
