Free Items WYB another?

Ok I get an error message anytime I try to search the forums so hope someone can help.

How do the $off product x wyb this item coupons and free product wyb this product work? We bought a bunch of chips for a party and some of them had a coupon for .55 off a Pace product on them. Does this mean I can't use it now since I didn't buy the salsa the same time we bought the chips? or since I did buy the chips I can still use it for a future purchase of the salsa. It doesnt say you have to buy them at the same time so Im really confused. Any help would be much appreciated.

:wavehi: Yes, that is a peelie...since you didn't use it when you bought the chips, you should be able to stash it away to use later...if it so states, that is. If it says they have to be bought together, then you should have picked up a jar of salsa. Or, if you have someone at your store that is nice enough to do this, you can take your receipt showing you did buy the chips (you didn't just hi-jack the peelie) & coupon to the store & ask if they'll let you get the salsa now.

Actually, it depends on how the coupon reads. Most of them don't say, so you can use it at a later time. If it says that you need to buy chips to get the Pace, then you need to use it when you're buying more chips and Pace together, just like if it was any other coupon that said that. If it just says "save on Pace", then you don't have to buy more chips with it even though it was originally stuck to the chips.

Some peelies say "on THIS package" or "when you buy THIS package". In that case, it was meant to be used on the one that it came with, not another one later. Most of the ones worded like this also say that it needs to be removed by the cashier. PopTarts had some like this last year.

So, read the peelie and see what it says. Happy munching! Now I want some chips!
