I also have a $5/50 Publix coupon that was in our newpaper (Ocala Star Banner) insert this week (coupon good 10/24 -11/13). It says good only at your neighborhood Publix in Marion and Alachua (FL) counties.
This should make the $4/4 GM and other coupons an even sweeter deal for me!

Heres my scenario: The cans of Muir Glen soup have $1 pink peelies on them. A few weeks ago I checked the price and it was under $2 (if I remember correctly, anyone?) that would make them free plus overage with the $4/4 coupon. So exciited, these are good soups and make for quick meal on cold nights.

These were 2.50 ea last week but likely back up to $3.19 each this week.
My deal will be:
$2.50 Yoplait Yo Plus
$2.50 Yoplait Yo Plus
$2.50 Yoplait Yo Plus
$2.50 Yoplait Yo Plus

$10.00
- 5.00 Rain Check for BOGO
- 4.00 Four $1/1 IPs
- 4.00 Publix $4/4 GM products
========================
$3 overage
if you don't have the raincheck, you'd pay $2 for four Yo Plus or you could do the indiv Yoplait yogurts (which are 6 oz so just over the 5oz min). Assuming they are .70 ea:
$4.20 Six Yoplait 6oz yogurts @ .70 each
-4.00 Publix $4/4GM products
-0.80 10/18 SS (.40/6 doubled) or you could use $1/6 IP

Last time I paid attention to the Totino's Single Serve (in the red box) pizzas, they were between $1.39-$1.59 each. Using the worst case scenario:
$1.59 x 4= $6.36- $1/4- $4/4= $1.36/4 pizzas
Not bad- it's like a B1G3 deal!
Excellent thinking! With my due date right around the corner (Exactly 3 weeks and 2 days... and counting...), these will be great to have on-hand for quick dinner nights while we're getting into a routine at home...

Question- to those who plan to do multiple deals- do you do them in one day? I mean, grab the dry goods in your first purchase, put them in the car, come back in, do another round, etc. until you're done or what's your plan? I would like to take advantage of a few low-priced deals, but am not sure the best way to do it... Thanks!
Another question- Anyone have the price on Pillsbury Sweet Rolls (cinnamon buns) that are in the roll can in the refrigerated section NOT the freezer section? Thanks!

I do multiple stores as well. Luckily, there are sooo many that are pretty close to each other around here. I usually do three stores in a trip if there's something awesome that I need multiple transactions for. Poor dh gets stuck doing his own transactions if he comes to the store with me, as well. If it's for something fun ds would like (cookies, crackers, baking mixes, etc), I'll let him go through the line before me. He's only three, but the cashiers always seem to get a big kick out of him and he loves to feel like a big man & pay for stuff. I've never had any problem with that.
Hooray for this coupon! I thought this week kinda sucked until I saw that added to the preview!

my store usually allows me to use multiple of those coupons as long as i am buying everything on the qs. For instance the gas coupons a few months ago i used 3 in one order. I use 2 of the $5.00 off of $50.00 all of the time as long as my total is $100.00 or more. Might be something worth asking the manager about.

I have only when it's only a few things I'm getting the 2nd time. I also check to see how many registers they have open, if it's more than 2 then yes I will go out to the car and come back in to a different cashier. It really just depends on my mood for that day.

I was at the store today checking out the GM cereal, I looked at all the lucky charms cheerios, I didn't see anything on the box that mentions the movie promotion. Is it all all gm boxes or on some of them? My store had not
I'm not sure if it is on all of them, but they were on several at my store when I was in there yesterday (Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cheerios, etc) and I also saw them today at Walmart- apparently it isn't exclusive to Publix!

I saw some of the movie tickets on boxes of Lucky Charms at my store.
I read on another site that this person thought Publix had made a typo and left out the word "cereal" on this coupon (The picture is of cereal, I guess) and it was only really meant for GM cereal or Nature Valley products. I have not seen the ad nor the coupon. Any thoughts on this? I just don't want to cause a scene trying to use it for other products and my Publix is so coupon friendly that I don't want to take advantage of that.

You can see the ad online at Publix's website and even print of a copy of the coupon. It does have a picture of cereal on it, but it does say $4.00 Off the Purchase of Four (4) General Mills or Nature Valley Products......
I would go by the wording on the coupon, not someones supposition as to what Publix might have meant.

Also about that q or any q for that matter..
How many times do we have a q for say Kotex and it says any but shows the large 48 ct?
Happens all the time they choose a picture to use for the q and that is it. I don't think publix is that dumb to foget something like the word cereal either. I am going tomorrow to do as many deals as I can just in case they try and retract it with notices in store.
here are my Scenarios
Green Giant Frozen Vegetables, Assorted Varieties, 14 to 24-oz pkg, or Corn on the Cob Nibblers, 12-ct pkg, BOGO $3.49
2 x $3.49 = 6.98
- 2 x $.50
- 2 x $.40
-$4.00
=========
$1.18 total for 4 boxes!
Pillsbury Ready-To-Bake! Cookies or Simply Cookies, Assorted Varieties, 13 to 16.5-oz pkg, 3/$6
AND Muir Glen tomato
3/$6
.89
-3x$1.25
-$4

-$.86 overage!

Just an FYI on Monday November 2nd GM will put new q's on their site and you can kinda double dip with q's this week. :)
Also Macaroni Grill meals are a GM product!
Also Don't forget to clip out those BTFE!! These are great to trade or send in to your DC school.
In the freebie section there is a free BTFE collection box you can sign up for and then you have somewhere to store them.

That actually makes a lot more sense than for Publix to really put such an awesome coupon out in their ads. I could believe it happening. BUT, if they left it out, they left it out. I always go by the wording on the coupon and that's what I'll be doing this week!

Ok some great finds..
Yopalit Single yorgurts are .75 each and are 6oz cups
So 4 x .75 = 3.00 -$4 gm q = $1 overage
Betty Crocker Fudge Brownie Mix in a Bag 10.25 or
Betty Crocker Biscuit Mix in a bag 7.5oz 1.09
4 x 1.09 = 4.36 -$4 q = .36
Bisquick Shake and Pour 5.1oz 1.49
4 x 1.49= 5.96 - $4q = 1.96
Small pack Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls 7.3oz or the 10.2 oz Biscuits 1.59
4 x 1.59=6.36 - $4q = 2.36
Glen Muir large are 1.50
4 x 1.50 = 6.00 - 2 x $1/2 peelie = $4 - $4q= FREE
That is all I had time to look at as I only had half hour. Also a great deal would be the $1 on ground beef peelies off the hamburger helper. buy 4 get $4 off meat as well as $4 off q and any HH q's you have.
My HH are 1.59 so
4 x 1.59=6.36 - $1/3 HH q - $4q = 1.36 plus $4 in free meat!

Just remember that this $4/4 GM PQ does state "Limit one deal per coupon per customer".
I'm not a mod, but please don't post how you used more than one in a transaction.
Also, Publix has NOT changed the online ad (like they could if they wanted) to discourage folks from printing them the way they currently state (without the word cereal).

I went to 2 seperate Publix. I asked each time how many of those I can use per transaction and how many transaction can I do. The first one let me use one and only 1 transaction and the 2nd one let me use 2 in a single transaction. So I guess I'll be going with the 2nd Publix for the week. Anyway, I got
8 boxes Nature Valley Granola bars = 20.00 - 6.40 (0.40 coupon doubled ) = 13.60
2 Pillsbury Simple cookies 4.00 - 2.50 (IP) = 1.50
2 Betty Crocker frosting 3.50 (1.75 each) - 2.00 (0.50 doubled) = 1.50
total 16.60 - 12.00 (3x4.00 Publix coupon) = 4.60
I'm planning on doing some more transactions whenever I get my other Betty Crocker coupons and Muir Glen coupons...

For those that don't have a print out handy, if you look under the ingredients list it should say distributed by General Mills Cereals LLC or General Mills Sales, Inc or somethng to that affect. That way you can pont it out to cashiers if they question it.
I'm going to have to take a printout because I didn't see this on the Muir Glen or Cascadian Farms.

ARrghhhh! I forgot my print out of what brands are distributed by general mills! My cashier and the CS manager had to consult like 3 different people on whether to allow my can of muir glenn tomato paste cause it says distributed by Small Planet Foods. I just kept telling them that i forgot my print out from the GM website and that Muir Glenn is one of the organic products distributed by GM, along with Cascadian Farms. And that i was not trying to pull one over on them, that i love publix and play by the rules. Oh, and the first thing out of my cashier's mouth, was did you buy the cereal. And ever so politely and nicely i said, it does say GM "products". Then started the Muir glenn fiasco. But it all worked out in the end.
Yeah! I can't wait to go back for more!

They are so cool! I never thought i could get excited about a pattern on a bag. But i am going to stock up cause i only got one of the Halloween ones before they sold out.

Just posted this under my great shopping trip - post #1342
My main goal was to use the $4/4 PQ to get 4 Green Giant 12 ct Corn on Cob & get some more vitamins and eye shadow before green adv PQ's expire and to make this lowest OOP for me .
With my store I have to have same amount product as the number of Q's I use.
So did 2 seperate orders of the same things :
2 Green Giant 12 ct Corn on Cob BOGO @ $3.49 -(1) .50/2 MQ from insert ?
2 Muir Glen Tomato Sauce @ $1.09 x 2 = $2.18 - (2) $1/1 Better at Home Booklet
2 Sundown Vitamins -for both $9.18 - (1) $6/2 PQ green adv & $3/2 IP
1 Maybelline eye shadow $2.99 - (1) $2/1 PQ green adv & $1/1 Tearpad found at Walgreens.
4 Muellers wheat pasta BOGO @ $1.19 X 2 = $2.38 - (2) .55/1 IP and (1) .50/2 MQ
Total $20.22
- $4/4 PQ from ad
= .12 cents + .21 tax ( Maybelline ) = .33 for each order
So all together got 4 GG Corn on Cobs, 4 Muir Glen Tomato Paste, 8 Muellers Wheat pasta, 4 Sundown Vitamins & 2 Maybelline Eye shadows for
.24 cents + .42 tax = .66

I had a raincheck for the small cans of Pillsbury Cinnamon rolls ($10 for 10 from a few weeks back), and they are 7 oz, so here was my deal:
6 small cans Pillsbury cinnamon rolls $1 each = $6
2 Simply cookies $2 each = $4
used 3 .40 cent off 2 Pillsbury cinnamon rolls (these doubled)
used $1 off and .55 cent off Simply Cookies
used $4 off 4 GM coupon
Spent $2.05 + tax on a whole lotta breakfast and snacks for my kiddos!!!
The cashier did look at the GM coupon like she didn't want to take it, but I said "that one says any 4 GM products over 5 oz, and Pillsbury is a GM product" I showed her the back of the package that clearly states General Mills and she typed in the code. YEAH!!!

Updated my original post when I realized that I could use the $1/1 instead of $.55/1 coupon... must be one of those days for me to miss that! Also added a link to the complete list I made after sifting through this thread and confirming some prices- I'll continue to update it as we go! These are amazing deals!
Awesome! Thanks so much, that is very helpful.

Loving this deal got 4 simply bake cookies for overage today with 4 $1.25 q's and the $4 q. Then got 4 BC frosting for $1.56.with the .50 man q and the $4 q. They were $1.89 at my store. I will be visiting Publix a lot this week with hubby in tow to do this deal!!! This is reminding me of last years Martha White deal. I just made my last 2 boxes of corn bread a week ago.

I just got back from Publix (Valleydale Road location), the store had printed flyers at the registers stating the $4 off any General Mills coupon was a misprint, that they'd forgotten to include the word Cereal on it, and the store would only honor the coupon if you were buying any GM cereal or any Nature Valley product. I was trying to buy four
Grands biscuits. Told them to void my transaction. Anyone else have this happen?

Had to try out the $4/4 coupon and see what flack it would raise. I bought:
2 Pilsbury Simply Cookies ready bake cookies (-1 $1 Simply Cookie coupon)
2 Grand Biscuits 5 count 10oz (-1 $1/2 Grand biscuit coupon)
2 bananas (-1 $1 Publix Produce coupon)
-$4/4 Publix GM or NV Product coupon
Total with tax $0.62
So, not bad and just a heads up. The Peanut Butter cookies taste great!! I will be going back tomorrow with a better list. HTH!!

I bought 2 of the progresso panko bc and 2 nut clusters, used mfg coupons on everything but she would not take the $4 because she said it was for cereal and nature valley only.
I might just return everything. She was a csm too.

I heard through the grapevine that this was a supposed misprint, and the $4/4 were supposed to only be for the GM cereals and NV products. Now if there is a sign posted at the front of the store stating this, I'd say it's fair
notice. If they are waiting until you get to the register, that is another story.

Mine says this too.
I visited two Publix's and had no problems. I did the Muir Glen and the Old El Paso deals.
Also, I grabbed several sales adds while I was at the store thinking they would catch the mistake and have someone clip the coupon from the sales flyers in order to remove the coupon from continuing to run. Let's hope not, but just incase....

Wow!! Awesome job! All I've tried so far was four bags of the nut clusters and that was a DISASTER! I got the worst cashier, full of attitude and nastiness. We even got a manager involved because of what he said to me. She actually gave us a $5 gift card when getting cash for all the coupons he decided I didn't deserve.. so you can imagine how it went by that!
Anyone in St Pete able to use these on more than cereal or nature valley stuff? I'm a little afraid to even try anything after last night's mess!

Sounds like maybe you had overage and didn't buy enough other products to use up the overage? I've done this deal at 3 different stores already and bought the Pilsbury cookies, nature valley granola bars, and Muir Glen tomatos. My tip for pulling off major deals like this successfully is try to fly under the radar. I make sure I have at least as many products as I have coupons (otherwise a manager must be called over) and I also try to add in a few items that I need anyway and aren't free. That way it as not as obvious that you are getting stuff for free/making a profit :) Last tip, and this may sound awful, but I have had much better luck when the cashier is a young guy. They aren't coupon police like some of the older ladies, they just want to get you through the line.
I didn't see any signs about the coupon at any of my stores like some people have. Even had a manager bagging my groceries when a cashier asked me if I had bought Cheerios and I explained that I had just bought 4 GM products like the coupon said - no issues.

I am one to always go to guy cashiers. I have a favorite guy at my publix (he's new but so non chalant (sp) about taking my coupons. He's like wow you impressed me. And of course he said I remind him of a lady he saw on tv once that did that.
So guys are the bestest. I do try and fly under the radar. I did ask my managaer about the q before I used it but I wasn't completely specific.
I just said
"I wanted to know if I can do multiple transactions when buying any GM products or would I have to go and come back in"
she said "you don't have to do multiple transactions just be sure you have 4 for each coupon"
I then told her it stated 1 per person and such and she said thanks for pointing it out she didn't notice and that if I didn't mind I could do 2 a transaction..
I said no problem but decided i'd much rather do multiple transactions instead to be safe.

Nah.. I only had .40 overage in the order and still spent 5 bucks. I just got an old guy (silly dh got in that line while I was grabbing something) who hated coupons. As soon as I hand them over, he says "these are not going to work" before he even looked at anything. :rolleyes24: I do 2-4 trips each week that end up under 4 bucks for 50+ worth of stuff, so I know how to play their game. We just got a cranky cashier who needs a lesson in how to talk to customers. We asked for the CSM and she was awesome about it all so I'm over it. She showed him that everything was fine and complimented me on the deal. She really threw me when she handed over a gift card with all the apologies though.
Did the nature valley again today at another store with no issues! I'm gonna be brave at another store with some other products later. The CSM there loves my son, so I'm crossing my fingers for a smooth transaction!

I did 2 transactions so far and worked like a charm. I also try and check out with the "guy" at one Publix, just cause he's friendly and always tells me about how he coupons too. Otherwise there are only female cashiers.
2 Island stores here within 1 mile of me and everyone is usually like...hey whatever....
I don't know if it's the atmosphere or if they are on drugs. Don't care as long as I can get my deal. LOL

I went to Publix today and asked the Assistant Manager if I needed to do seperate transactions to use the GM Q. She laughed and said no... I then said " I am going to use 8 of these q's though... and she said great!!" Awesome!!!
Here is what I got:
3 Bags Green Giant Veggies 1.75 ea
2 Warm Delights 1.89 ea
2 Gold Medal Flour 5 lb bags 2.39 ea.
2 Fiber One Pancake Mix 2.49 ea
1 Nature Valley Trail Mix Bar 2.50
3 Betty Crocker Frosting 1.89 ea
13 cans Green Giant Veggies (green beans, corn and peas) 1.29 ea
3 Simply Cookies 2.00 ea
3 Old El Paso Taco Seasoning 1.07 ea
10 Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls 7 oz cans (had a raincheck for 10 for $10)
My store also takes Rite Aid 5 off q, so total with MFR q's and 8 Publix GM q's = $4.55
Yeah!!! Thank you Publix - we love you :)

Crud... I just looked at my post and rechecked my total # of items and I had 42, not 32 like I thought.... I could have used 2 more $4 off and put the overage toward milk or meat, bummer!!! Oh well, that it what happens when you shop with kids.....
$4.55 and not being hassled with multiple trips is still awesome though I guess :)

Does anyone know the price of the NV granola nut clusters? I plan on using my $1.60 off coupons with this deal.
$1.60 x 4 coupons= $6.40
$4 off 4 NV/GM products
-$10.40 off 4 bags sounds like a good deal.
I bought four today and they were priced at $2.50. I got them so super cheap, this $4/4 coupon is SUCH a great deal! I only had one computer to print off $1.60/1 coupons and on the rest used $1/1 coupons from inserts.
As you can imagine, I used a young guy cashier as well. They always make my life easier and seem nicer to deal with anyway. I went to the Overton Rd./Mountain Brook location in Birmingham so I could use my Target coupons too if that helps anyone. You know, I actually went hunting for them yesterday at a few stores. Most had already been bought but I did find a few of them. However, they weren't the ones with the marked-down price. I went ahead and bought them with the coupons because I still wanted to get in on the deal, but I have also found them at Walmart- I think the deal could be done cheaper there!! Does anyone know how much the Totinos pizzas are? With the $1/4mq from the insert and the $4/4 Publix q, might make for cheap pizzas...
I just left Publix in NE Florida (Mission Trace) off SR 16 in St. Augustine. The Totino pizza is on sale for $0.87. Sign reflects "As Advertised", however, I can't find it advertised.
This will make a good use for the 4/4 GM coupon. I used the coupon on these items and was not questioned.
4 pizza = $3.56
- $1.00/4 coupon = $2.56
- $4.00/4 GM coupon = OVERAGE $1.44
There are several coupons out for these pizza's. Most scenarios are MM. :BigHand:

I am in Lakeland, FL and this is what I did, though it wasn't without some trouble from the cashier.
First, when I walked in, I verified that I could use the $4/4 coupon on ANY General Mills product over 5 oz. And then, I asked if I could use it more than once in my transaction (because I had a $/$ q that I wanted to use too). Both were an affirmative.
So I bought the following, and laid them on the belt in this order, which is the order of my coupons, in groups of 4.
2 yellow box cheerios $5 - $1 IP x2
1 honey nut cheerios $4.29 (poor choice! it wasn't on sale)
1 nv granola nut clusters $2.50 - $1.60 MQ
6 yoplait individual cups $4.50 - $.50/6 IP
4 pillsbury simply bake cookies $8 - $1.25 IPx2 - $.55 IPx2
2 muir glen soups $4 - $1/1 MQ
2 nv granola nut clusters $5 - $1.60 MQ x2
4 nv granola nut clusters $10 - $1.60 MQ x4
2 nc granola nut clusters $5 - $1.60 MQ x2
2 green giant canned veggies $1.66 (no q's)
Firt, I gave her my $5/$20 competitor coupon, then I gave her 6 $4/4 GM coupons and all the other ones, in the order she had rung them up. At the end, I threw in a bag of Ruffles (for the hubby) and 2 Sundown Vitamins that I had a $3/2 q for.
My OOP was $6.22 and I saved $72.35. I know I could have done better if I threw in some more canned veggies, but I wanted to make my big run with the coupons tonight since I was alone and without the girls to interrupt me.
I don't normally work this hard for coupon deals but I wanted to make sure I did this one right since there have been some issues with it at other Publix locations.
If all goes well, I'm planning to go back tomorrow to get some more veggies and yogurt, and might add some Pillsbury canned bread in the mix if I feel like it. I don't have anymore room in my pantry for cereal or NV nut clusters! :)
Thanks to all PP for their assistance in me getting such a great deal tonight. I am new to trying these sorts of mega deals and am usually happy to have my OOP and savings be about the same.

I actually went grocery shopping tonight and got everything verified through CS. They okayed me using 6 of the 4/4's.
Then I shopped and got in line. Had qs in my hand and the cashier got very nervous..wouldnt even let me put my stuff on the counter. She asked for coupons. She got to the 4/4 and she said you have 24 GM products. I said Well yes but a 4 are nature valley. Smiled nicely at her. So then she starts ringing. Rings my meat first total was about 35.00. Then she rings my Green Giant frozen veggies that are BOGO. She then said well which ones are GM products because I dont see any cereal. I showed her the ones that are GM and then she gets all nervous again...WEll this says Green Giant and this says Pillsbury nothing about GM. So I politely shows her where it is General Mills on the product. She leaves me and goes to CS (no let me verify or let me see). The same CS lady comes over and looks and she gets nervous and calls over the CS manager and She says yes and even mentioned the Muir Glen being GM as well:BigHand:. Cashier was still flustered by the time she finished scanning items and got to the actual coupons. I forgot to take out the Budding ips because they werent a match so I explained let me see the pile i need to take out two coupons. She gets flustered AGAIN. By the end she was soo worked she went on to explain how last week she got in sooo much trouble for allowing some coupons (she didnt go into that much detail) and how coupons make her nervous now:sad:. She was polite at the end and I explained I totally understand and have a great evening.
BTW my total was 42.00 In that were
6 MG tomato sauce
2 pillsbury grands
4 simply cookies
4 GG frozen veggies
4 GG small cans of veggies
4 NV nut clusters (dh loves those)
2 packs of steaks
2 packs for beef strips for stirfry
1 family pack of hamburger meat
1 family pack of chicken legs
1 half gallon of OJ
1 Minute Maid Berry Punch
1 gallon of milk
1 publix brand bread crumbs
2 publix brand tomato paste
2 packages of already diced onions and green peppers
4 jimmy dean breakfast bowl (cashier said what is that when she read the target ip:shrug7:)
2 shed spread country crock butter tubs
6 muellers (2 spaghetti, elbows, and ziti)
1 wesson oil

I went to my usual store and stopped by CS desk to make sure I was in the clear for the deal I was going to do. CS desk indicated to me that the coupon in the flier was suppose to have the word "cereal" in it and that it would only be accepted for cereal. The lady indicated they had received a memo from corporate indicating not to accept the coupon for anything accept GM cereal products. I decided not to shop at Publix this week since there really is not anything else on sale I could use. Maybe next week.

Has anyone actually SEEN the "memo from corporate"? It seems like some stores have it and are enforcing it, some stores have it and don't care, and others don't have it and don't care.
Weird!

When I did this deal with Muir Glen and Fiber One items, at first the cashier told me I couldn't do it. I just explained that they were General Mills products and pointed out that information that was on the back of the packages, and they let me do it. The manager was called over, he looked at the coupon and looked at the products and their parent company, and okayed it. It went smoothly and everything worked out well! Yay!

Most scenarios are MM.:BigHand:
I didn't see any listed in the DB for Totinos Pizza only Pizza rolls. Where are the coupons found? TIA

Similar situation....cashier said only cereal....I pointed out that was not mentioned in the coupon....he said still no. I asked for manager and they agreed it was okay to use since it said any GM product though they mentioned it was intended for cereal. Cashier did not seem happy that I was "getting away with something".

I went back to my local Publix today (had fliers at the registers that the coupon is for cereal only). Tried to buy two Cheerios and two Nature Valley Nut Clusters. No go, CEREAL only. I asked to speak to a mgr., was told that was correct, so I asked where I could find the Nature Valley CEREAL that qualified. Told
"we don't carry that", and then told the coupon was for the Nature Valley
CEREAL BARS. I pointed out the Nature Valley bars say granola bars, NOT
cereal, and asked why the Nut Clusters didn't count too (since both are granola products). Got a big sigh from the mgr. & told they'd let me use the coupon "just this one time" even though I was buying the wrong products.

What a headache! I'd have had a fit if a manager used the word "wrong" with me when it was completely correct. Geesh.. They must not have worded this mysterious memo correctly, huh?
I still haven't tried this on products other than nature valley. I'm too afraid of conflict at the register, I guess. I'd much rather everything be painless and problem free. Stories like this really keep me from bothering!

lol...I did a few of this transactions with the yogurt and biscuits they didn't blik an eye so I must say if it was meant to say CEREAL it's not my fault, now if it said it and I was using it for other things then yes I would feel dirty! I don't normally over use the Publix q's thou, so I might do a few more runs and thats it:)

Yeah, I know that none of my stores have given me a hard time about it and it was their error in omitting the word cereal, but I also know based on my receipt that they didn't intend for it to be used in this manner. I feel like I am 'getting away' with something, and Publix has always been very good to me. I probably won't do any more deals besides the cereal and NV stuff...plus I'm tired of runing around town doing multiple trips :)

I used 4 of them on Saturday. I got the NV clusters, the granola bars, Cheerios, the cookies... I asked the cashier (my favorite, because she likes to see me save money) how many I could use and she said "as many as it will let me". So, I used 4. That was all I had printed out.

I used 2 on the first day at 8am and manager wasn't too happy and told me it was suppose to be for cereal but I said it didn't say that on coupon and she let me get the stuff since already rung up & bagged .
There were 4 other people in line behind me , so guess she really didn't want to create a scene in front of everyone either.
After that , I just didn't feel right using it even though I knew it was their mistake.
I like this store and didn't really want to create problems.

I used it the first day, but not after that. I have heard the management explain it to at least three people the last few times I was at Publix though. I want to keep a good relationship with management, so I haven't even tried it again.

Not going to debate using it or not but today I got a good deal on Pillsbury quick breads. They are on sale 2/$4 and had $1/2 peelies on them. So $8 for 4 boxes-2 $1/2 peelies and $4 GM q. So $2 for 8 boxes of quick breads. Great for upcoming holiday bakin. Also progresso back beans are on sale 3/$2.

Well, nobody really KNOWS anything about this coupon. What we do know is that the coupon states "any GM product 5oz or larger" and that they have not changed the printable coupon in the online ad although they could easily do so. Some people have been told of a "memo from corporate" about this coupon, but others have had no such issue. Like all things with Publix, I'd guess that this one is going to be dealt with on a store-by-store basis.

Agreed. We wanted to be "legal" with this Q, so when I sent DH to Publix, I had him first ask at the service desk whether they were including Muir Glen. Yes, our Publix is counting all GM products.

Anyone tried doing this deal today?
I did it today with Progresso Breadcrumbs, 8 oz. canisters. They were $1.19 each and I had 2 coupons for $1 off 2. So it went:
4 canisters $1.19 x 4 = $4.76
2 $1 off 2 Q's = -$2
$4 off 4 Q = -$4
NET -$1.24 overage
I was questioned on whether the items were GM products, and the cashier called a manager over who looked at the can and allowed it. He also questioned whether you could use more than one $4 Q in the same transaction (because I also did the deal with Nature Valley granola bars), which the manager allowed, as well. It was kind of a hassle, but they did it.

My store in bama has the coupon in front of the Cereal, nature valley, the betty crocker potatoes and the green giant. i did not see them in the pillsbury section. The mean manager is the one that told me about the pillsbury. i asked how many could i use and my jaw hit the floor when she said people have been using 10 in one order. i was waiting for her to say something about it but she said that she got alot of the pillsbury and the green giant veggies. so i think that it is whatever the store manager has decided for his/her store.

(o'well, going to use when they re-stock the 4/$10 cinnamon toast crunch I've missed TWICE now.)
