Boy....I thought I was a pro at this game! My closest kroger is an hour away and I called to verify they double coupons because of the Mega sale. On another site doubles were explained like this" if your store doubles to .50 you would save $1....if you had a q worth.75 it would be worth $1.25 ( .50 x 2 plus overage of .25) I always thought it was double whatever the store allowed and anything above at face value. Can someone please give me a "for sure" so I can plan my shopping trip?
Wookin....you rock!!! thanks for all of your awesome posts the last 2 days!!!!!

What did the Kroger closest to you say about their doubling policy? From what I understand it varies from region to region. Ours doubles up to $0.50 every day, and all other coupons are taken at face value. You should ask a store manager where you will be shopping for a "for sure" answer.

I think the way that your thinking it is wrong. $.75 would NOT double in a store that doubles up to $.50. If a store doubles up to $.50 it means that any coupons $.50 and under will double.

I agree with the previous posters. Calling your store would get you the answer the quickest.
Here in metro Atlanta my Krogers double $0.50 and under. A $0.50 doubles to $1.00, $0.40 doubles to $0.80, $0.35 doubles to $0.70.
And stores that double $0.75 (I wish my stores did!) would double that value to $1.50 instead of $1.25. The math you posted doesn't make sense.

In that math I meant the first .50 cents value of the coupon woukd double and then add anything over that ( like .25 cents if a .75 cents coupon) at face value. Didn't make sense to me either but saw it explained that way on another board and wanted to clarify. thanks!
