Tell me if this has already been mentioned. I went to a store that was out of the Robitussin To Go 2-pks, they had a note saying manufacturing delays were causing problems, I didn't read any further. I wanted to get the 4oz liquid anyway, it is on sale for $4.99 this week, I had a $1 Q, we just really need it. After I checked out, I realized the $2.50 RR printed after buying the DM liquid! Then I looked at the receipt and the price was correct, $4.99, followed by a WAGC of $2.50 (the register automatically took it off, she didn't scan anything), so the price was $2.49 and the $2.50 RR printed. I'm wondering if they made the liquid FARR because people are complaining about so many stores not having the To Go 2pks? Can anyone else verify this at other stores? I can't get to another store until tomorrow. I'd rather have a full bottle free, plus be able to get the overage if you have the $1 Q from the paper, than the 2 doses in the To Go pack. I'm wondering if this is a nationwide thing, or just at stores that don't have the To Go 2pk, or just at this one store.

From what I read elsewhere, It is just supposed to be stores that are out of the to Go and you are supposed to have a coupon scanned in order to get the RR. I don't know from personal experience since my WAGS still has to the To Go.

the manufacturer isn't/wasn't able to supply the product so they are subbing the 4oz robitussin dm for the RR item

Thanks! I will have to keep my eyes open and ask around here if they have heard that information. These have been out of stock for a few weeks now at every store I've been to.

Same here, along with every other FARR item that was this month after day 1. They have been out and not ordered more. And I drove past wags 3x today. Had I seen this earlier I would have totally stopped, darn it. But I didn't because none of the weekly FARR items are needed around here or with anyone I know, and likely they were gone by the time I drove past the first time and I Have no coupons for the dove deal or anything either. Totally spaced this weeks coupon ordering.

What coupon? None of my stores have had this since day one - they don't even have a space on the shelf for it.

None of my stores have room for it on the shelves. The ones that I found were all in a special display. I think that this may be just an introductory size that Wags will not be carrying on a regular basis.

The OP says that the register automatically took it off without a coupon being scanned, so I gonna give it a shot today. :dance7:

stores got this information in an email and have an ad apology to be hung along with the coupon to be at the registers to be used to make it a RR item

Thanks for the help IrishLass, the cashier must have scanned the coupon without me noticing. I'd like to give kuddos to the folks at Walgreens for having a great idea to help make up for the shortage. I'm sure Robitussin just had no idea how many people were going to want to try their product free, so I'm sure it isn't WAGS' fault, but it's awesome they are stepping up to try to satisfy the customers looking for this product. :wink7:

Some stores in my area seem to know about the 4oz liquid subbing for the To Go; some don't. I mean, I specifically explained to 2 managers at 2 different stores about the substitution (they didn't have the To Go either), but they said they hadn't heard of it.

I specifcally had to ask the BA to call the manager, and she immediately said, "oh yeah, I have a coupon for you to scan for these". So, the manager knew, but there was no signage or apology info there. Thanks for the heads up, as I had the $2 off IP coupons...so MM for me. Yea!

thanks irish:) I've been looking for the 2pk since the first week and have had no luck. Sunday night they told me they'd sub the $4.99 bottle for the same deal (because that's what they were told to do) well the mgr rang it up as $4.99, then overrode the price to $2.50. I asked if a RR would print out at the end? and he asked what the problem was, he was giving me the $4.99bottle for the same deal as the 2pk? I asked about the RR again, and just got a blank stare-so I asked him to void it and left the store. The next day, at another store I saw a small index card size paper saying that they were subbing the $4.99 bottle for the rob-to-go.
the cashier even let me use my $2Q!!
thank you everyone:)

Thanks for this, I jotted it down and took it with me. I LOVE my store, but they didn't know about this. One of the asst mgrs went and looked it up, printed these out, but they didn't know anything about the coupon. They had the cashier price modify it to 2.49, but it didn't print an rr. Anyone who HAS gotten the rr, what is the upc of the item you bought? I got the DM 4oz... and we tried four different kinds and none of them printed the rr.

hmmm....

At my store, they have the Sugar Free DM 4oz---does anyone know if the Sugar Free produces the RR? TIA :wavehi:

At my store NONE of the 4 oz is producing rr. I have the best store on the planet though and after I bought my 10 bottles in different transactions, the store manager rang all as a return and reimbursed me to make up for the lost rr's. :)

My store had the sign for the Rob to sub the syrup. I asked the mgr (he was there to correct the previous trans). Anyway it didn't ring up right or print RR. He credited my card the $2.50 even though I only paid $1.60 and then gave me the form to mail in. Don't like doing that, but think it will last longer than the one that would have printed and I have $14RR to use. I'm going to try again tomorrow using my q. I didn't want to be greedy.

The coupon can be found in the email ad apology that the stores were sent last week.
I can't remember if it is in the signs plus apology or not but they have to scan that coupon for it to make it print the RR. If they don't scan that coupon it won't print the RR as many of you are finding out.

The sugar free does not work, only the regular Robitussin DM

My manager had no clue what I was talking about but he did go in the back and searched and came back with a notice that the Rob. to go 2 ct. RR was a deal from 9/26-11/28. WHAT???? I told him I was quite certain that the RR deal ends on 10/31, but he just showed me the paper with the dates on it. And, yep, they do say 9/26-11/28. So, no Robitussin for me, but he did ask me to bring in the info as to where to find the coupon/ad apology (which I just printed out). He is a really nice guy, so I don't think he was trying to be difficult, I think he is just clueless. It really does surprise me how Wags does their business. No uniform policy on anything it seems.

I went to a store on Wednesday, they had a 3"x5" sign on the shelf for apology and sub for DM syrup and can get rr. But didn't say the price on syrup. When I went to check out it rang up $4.99, and the casher scan a copy of paper( it was on the counter) that has $2.50 off coupon bar code on it. I thought maybe manager told the cashier to scan the coupon when customer buy the syrup. The coupon does count as manufauture coupon.
