 I am so bummed I let a $10 RR from dove deo deal expire! I really need to get my eyes checked, I thought it was 10/26 expiration and it was 10/23. Wahh!

I have let rr, ecbs and even free coupons expire. Sometimes acidentally, and sometimes I have more important things to do than shop.
Some things are just more important than coupons...
for example, my whole family has been sick the last week with swine flu, including me...I missed a weeks worth of great deals. But it is no biggy!
There are always more deals around the corner.

This is a sore spot for me. I had to let a $6 one expire on Friday due to our car experiencing problems and the battery dying before we could make it to WAG. I was not pleased. :mad20:

I went to Wags this morning and forgot to use a $1RR that expires today. So I'll make another Wags run later today. I know it's only $1 but I refuse to let any RR get the best of me! And I can get some more Ducolax, Trident and Chapstick :)

:giggle2: Oh I don't know about that........ :whistle67:
I do hope your family is feeling better soon, I wouldn't wish that illness on anyone. Take care.
AND yup I have let RR expire and yup I kick myself for it, but life goes on and you can roll roll roll another week.

Oh yes, it happened to me once. That was when I found out that WG has no mercy.
CVS at least will let you use them if it is within the same week - but not WG. Not even a day over. Grrr.

No but I've forgotten about grocery store OYNO coupons expire. Ugh. So much for free cheese! Don't feel bad about it. As a PP stated, there will always be more good deals around the corner.

I have $25.50 in expired RRs. UGH! It makes me sick just thinking about it. My nearest Wags is 40 miles away so I just can't get there often enough. I've pretty much given up shopping there because of this issue. Two weeks is not long enough for me to use them.

WOW!!
Now I feel plum ashamed for pitchin such a fit for letting a $2 RR expire last week!!
That would be enough to put me in deep, crawlin under my bed, depression for a month!:hysterical:

Yes. Actually I can't find two $9 rr from last week! And I just let a $3 ECB expire

And that is exactly why Wags and the companies make $$ off RR's! If so many of *us* let it happen, imagine how often it happens among the *general* public.

Really, giving us only two weeks to use an RR is not enough time.
When I come across an expired RR, I just stare at it and say …”Ahhhhh, man.”
+
Two things I have done to cut down on expired RRs …
+
#1) I will print out a calendar of the months (one month per sheet)
As soon as I get RRs, I mark down on the calendar, in that day’s box for the expiration date.
I include the dollar amount and item that generated it (an abbreviation).
+
#2) I have #10 business envelopes (actually, they are ATM envelopes).
Each one is dedicated to a dollar amount which is printed on the outside of the envelope.
$9.00. $7.00, $5.00, $4.00, $3.50, $3.00, $2.50, $2.00, $1.00 (you get my drift).
With the RR facing me, I trim a little of the left vertical side (up to the RR information) so the RR will easily fit in the envelope.
The most recently received RR goes in the back of the envelope (FIFO).
Every single cotton pickin’ day I check and double check to see if any RRs are about to expire.
I want noooo surprises.
I try to stay a couple of days ahead of their expiration dates.
With 50+ Walgreens within a 25 minute drive, it is not hard to find one to spend the RRs.
Look, there is another one (five on Pearl Road alone).
+
Lately, on the back of each RR, I clearly print what product generated the RR.
I also treat my RRs like c-a-s-h.

I haven't let it happen yet, but I live and work relatively close to WAGS, so it hasn't been an issue. I actually went to WAGS today just for the purpose of using RRs that expired today.

I once found about $23 worth of expired RRs in a bag that got stuck behind something in the trunk of my car. I was sick about it. Then, I realized that I have made way more than $23 at Wags and so, even if it is not something that I plan on doing again, I am still ahead of the game.
I now have them put the RRs in my hand. I keep like RRs paper clipped together in a flat wallet/folder type thing, with the oldest on top. I have post it tabs that I write the item that generated each reward and stick one to each bunch.
I do my best each week to roll all my rewards so that I don't get stuck in a time crunch that makes it impossible to redeem them in time.
I am very lucky to literally have a Wags in my parking lot at work that is very coupon friendly. So, I can usually run over there for a few minutes if I am desperate.

Yes. I let close to $10 exp over the summer b/c I just couldn't get to Walgreens & completely forgot about them.
Now, I write the amount on a calander that I keep next to the computer. I also write the $ amount of my ECBs on it too.

I was in labor the day my RR expired! I still regret not using it BEFORE my water broke! I did however consider stopping by Wags on the way to the hospital. But with an hour drive ahead us, I decided we better just go straight there.

+
With all other excuses, I would still ask to speak to the store manager to see if they will honor the expired RRs.
Just do not procrastinate, the sooner the better (the clock is ticking).

I do my best to not let it happen. I will use them on milk, eggs whatever we need if I have them and there isn't anything to roll but ultimatly my family comes first so if there's something that comes up then I will let them expire. If the kids get sick or they just have a lot of functions going one all at once I will let them expire but if I can I will use them before whatevers going on or if they are sick and need any meds I go to the store i have something expiring at and use those on what ever they need. Last summer was really bad for my family with illness, my dad and uncle were diagnosed with cancer, my grandparents with alzheimers and with all the hospital visits I was making I lost a lot rr, ecbs, cats. There was to much going on for me to care about coupons at that point.
