While walking near the pharmacy the other day, the stars went into perfect alignment, and I was able to spot that rare and mythical beast, the CHILDRENS ACTIVITY BOOK! :giggle2:

Obviously, these are not meant to be sold. The holder was well inside the Patient Consult window, turned sideways. I only saw them because nobody was at that window, and I was manuvering around a line at the drop off window. From any other angle, I would have never seen them. That other beast known only in stories, the Healthy Savings booklet, was sitting beside it.

Apart from the good deals, I count my week as a sucess, since these "more precious than gold" items are now in my possession. :smile:

:wavehi: I found them in the kids coloring book section & the ones they had for half price were expired. :shrug7: The coupons are good until March of next year. First time seeing these....

I managed to get one that had valid coupons...the other 2 went to the DD5.

The Healthy Savings Booklet is only supposed to be given out with Flu Shots, so if many of you are looking for this booklet and haven't gotten a flu shot yet this is one of the perks of getting it in Walgreens. Also, the coloring books normally are given out at the drive through at our local store to parents with kids, so wouldn't hurt to ask wen your picking up a prescription if they have them. Luckily my fiance works for them in the pharmacy and brought me home The healthy Savings booklet and coloring books as they come in to the pharmacy.

I had to ask the pharmacy staff to help me find it. I've seen it on a rack on display cases near the pharmacy at about knee level of all things. If you were 3 feet tall it would have been easier for you to find?

Just make sure not to let the cashier try to take those coupons, some of them do, and I don't think they need to have it for their drawer. Some old bitty took my neosporin Q and I had to buy another booklet.

OMG! I was just coming on here to post about this! I found some at my store today too. I really thought they didn't exist and then there they were, sitting in the clearance section for just 49 cents each. And the ones with the March 2010 expiration!

I was looking for two fillers and these worked out perfectly. :BigHand:

I found them at our store...but in them all the coupons are expired....needless to say... I didn't buy them.

:smile:So I should consider myself very blessed then. Because I found the activity book right in the pharmacy area and didn't know they were marked down. I was going to pay the $0.99 price to use as a filler and much to my surprise and delight it scanned at the bea-u-ti-ful price of $0.24. Wow, was I a happy mama and so was my 9 yo DD and 2 yo DS. 2 fillers, happy children, and deals gallore...priceless!!! :giggle2:

I also spotted the HTF books at the store my sister works out! She was holding out on me! LOL! She didn't even know what I was talking about, but she bought one for me anyway with her discount. I think she said they only had one other, but I should probably ask her to buy them all so I can offer to send them to you guys at cost, plus stamp.

Someone help me I'm more than sure that my wags has them (seems oddly enough) that I am the only couponer in my part of Miami. I'm never wiped out of anything and never see anyone carrying around coupons. :shrug7:

They look like a small children's book...that has pages inside to color...and in the mix of it...is coupons. I don't know what this years exactly looks like...I've only seen last years..

I giggled when I saw this post... I was thinking what? What did she see? A uniform coupon policy? An endcap FULL of FARR items 5 days into the sale?? WHAT!?!!? WHAT DID SHE SEE???!!! lol

I think I've only seen those books once and that was it - nada since!

There are Healthy Savings coupon booklets all over the store here----at every register, the Pharmacy, the table where they have been giving the flu shots, by the regular weekly ads, on the Cosmetics counter. The Children's Activity book is much harder to find. I found 3 about a month ago and then last week found another one on clearance. Never let anyone tell you that couponing is easy!!

Any idea how much postage it would be to mail one in a trade?
I bought a few on clearance because I know some haven't found one.
I tried folding one book in half and it fits a long envelope barely.
Or could just mail the coupon sheet I guess.

I found these on Clearence several weeks ago and got several to trade. You don't need the whole book, Just the coupon page. They don't expire until March 2010. Like any Walgreen's coupon you don't have to give it up but just have them scan it and use it over and over!. I got 8 boxes of Free Children's Band-aids one week. If anyone wants one I have them and the Healthy Saver Books also. Just PM me.

I feel you...the only place I have been able to find the coloring book at is the WAG's near Mall of America....it has a Publix 2 doors down from it, there's a Big Lots and an Outback Steakhouse and various other stores in the plaza...If you are near that area, try to see if they have any more..Plus that Publix usually is up to date on the coupon booklets..HTH!

The healthy savings for a healthy you booklets...has a family dressed warmly for winter on the front and is about 6X8 or so...not tall and skinny like the other booklets.
but these were the ones given away w/ flu shots, of course I got my flu shot and was not even offered one so I went back and asked for one..

and even though it is a perk of getting a flu shot at Wags.... there is no purchase necessary to receive one, you only need to ask for one. Cvs recently did the same thing...give them as perks...but they had it spelled out "no purchase necessary'
I think it may be illegal to only hold them for those who receive the flu shot.
I don't know the legalities of it but would think it would be since not everyone should get the flu shot and it's a medical/hippa deal? I don't know...I just know it sounds wrong. LOL..
No, you may NOT have one of our prized coupon books because you did not purchase (key word here) a flu shot from us.
Yea, I say it's a legal thing for sure, just go as for it.
