I'm heading off to bed just now but our local Kroger ad is up online. Another Buy 10 Get $5 Off, plus a Tuesday only sale with some candy and beverage deals. I'll make my list tomorrow and add any scenarios I can come up with. The Mega Event items take up two whole pages of the ad, and hopefully there are more unadvertised deals as usual. :BigHand:It's about time.

EDIT: Here's everything that was in my ad (Atlanta). I will add your match-ups and scenarios to this main post today but I won't be around tomorrow. Hopefully we can scrounge up a good list of unadvertised deals too once the sale starts. :)

OK, so if I buy 10 snuggle fab softeners ($2.99 ea) and apply ten -$3/1 MQs will the $5 credit go towards the rest of the groceries in my cart? I hope this is so, because I have tons of this Q and Snuggle wont expire.

2.99 is the price after the 5.00 off deal, so they will actually ring up 3.49. You will still get them free but only .01 of overage!

I just called my Kroger and verified that Bumble Bee, Carnation Evap Milk and BC Potatoes are part of the mega deal. I don't know the price yet but there is a list of all participating products. I am going this morning to check this out and get the list. I will post the products when I get back unless someone beats me to it (hint hint).

I'm in Cartersville (Bartow Cty)I know they are not in the ad. These are OTHER products that are part of the deal but not in the ad. There is a master list at my store in Acworth. I'm sure if you ask in Cartersville they will have the list also. I haven't made it to the store yet to get the list. You will find that every week there are products on sale but not in the ad. That's where networking comes in. If you should find any other deals that are not in the ad, please post them here so we can all get in on them. Thanks.

Every mega sale I have ever seen only advertises PART of what is on sale the first week, so that Krogers has something new to advertise the second week. But in reality, the items that they advertise the second week was on sale the whole time, but not advertised. Take your time and look around (I know this is difficult for busy Moms), as you may be pleasantly surprised about what is included (that wasn't advertised).

10-25-2009, 02:07:03 PM
Yep, Carnation is a .01 MM (I know huge), but the BB Tuna is also a MM. Using the .55/1 or $1/2 they are .39 after $5/10 so +.11 or .16 each. Anybody find anything else?

Fingers crossed my order coupons come by Wednesday. :BigHand:

Sure. Cellfire just put out a $1/1 Kotex pad coupon, so load one of those to your card before you go. Then use the $2/2 paper coupon from 10/04 SS, and one of the two packages you buy will be free, the other will be $1. :)

She must have had the $1/1 from 10/04 SS. That's how I got my freebies.

By the way, I have bought two packages of the Playtex 30-ct disposable gloves (they are part of the mega event, but not free--$1 per package after the $1/1 coupon, which is actually a great deal on disposable gloves) and I got a $1/1 *any* Playtex Glove Product catalina both times.

Playtex gloves are part of the mega deal. On sale this week for $1 so free with $1/1 coupon. So buy 10 and it's a $5 MM. I bought 3 pair today and a catalina for $1/1 any Playtex Gloves product popped out. They want to pay us to take these things AGAIN. For newbies, this was part of the sale last year and worked the same way. Have fun.

FYI

the Land O Lakes butterblends/spreads are .99 after the mega sale so FREE if you have the .50/1 coupons or .20 each if you have the .40/1 coupons.

I Can't Believe it's not Butter is also .99 after mega sale so free if you have the $1/1 stick coupons...... BTW... a friend of mine found a blinkie last week at Publix with these in it so be on the look out!

ALSO not a part of the mega deal are the Fruit2O drinks.... They are 10/10 so after the $1 coupon they are free.

AND ONE MORE.... Those Yakisobe (or however you spell it) noodle bowls are also 10/10 until Jan of 2010 so those are FREE too with the many .50/1 coupons we have!

Sorry I don't have the dates all these coupons came out!

Not sure if anyone posted this Ziplock deal. If you buy 3 ziplock products, you get a $2 off next shopping order. The Vacuum refills were on sale (clearance? not sure, but there were a ton on the shelf) for $1.59. I used the $1.50/2 printables. I got 6 boxes (plus one starter kit- there was a coupon in one of the last newspaper inserts- sorry, but I don't remember which one) for about $0.17 each!

$1.59 each X6 - $1.50/2mfg printable X3 -2 $2 catalinas (to use on next purchase)= $0.17 each

I went back and did this Ziplock deal twice- I use a lot of those for freezing meats. There were a ton left- I went to Kroger on Peachtree in Atlanta.

Also got ground veal for $1.99/lb on clearance!!

Okay, here's another great deal I should have mentioned earlier. It is NOT part of the Mega Event, so don't count these in one of your 10-item piles.

The Bic Soleil disposable razors (several varieties of multi-packs) are B1G1. The site where I found these deal had listed them as BOGO @ $5.99 (so $3 on sale), but when I got to my store to buy a couple, they were only $4.59 regular price, $2.29 on sale! So significant overage with the $3/1 from 9/20 SS. I bought two of these along with some more Bumble Bee tuna as part of one last mega event run, and paid $3.84 for 13 items ($1.74 in overage to make some of the other items free). If you haven't used your Snuggle coupons, that makes a great filler if you need one or two more items to make it 10.

I don't know for sure, but every mega event in my memory has been two weeks. Also, there are a lot of deals on the full list that Wookin posted that they are probably saving for next week's ad, as they weren't in this week's. But they are marked in the store.

Sadly the Krogers around here are very bad at re-stocking after the first few days of mega sales. I checked for several days for the Playtex gloves last time they were free, and they didin't come back on the shelf until a few days after the sale ended!

These may have all already been mentioned ... but I figured I'd post my haul for the day ...

Paid $12.39 for todays lunch and a few bags of groceries ($43 worth) ... not 'practically free' but maybe it was worthwhile. The shelves were empty for a few of the items I wanted, so I'm probably going to stop again after work ....

(3) Dial 3 pk Bar Soap - 10/4 8/16 SS

I have noticed that with the mega sales, it will often be on sale for 2 weeks but many of the prices increase the 2nd week but $0.50 or $1, making alot of the money makers/freebies disapear. So keep that in mind. I somehow forgot to use my BOGOs on the steamfresh meals, and it was self check out at 1am so I have to go today to fix that... will be getting $30 back! woot. I can't seem to find the playtex coupons but they were probably in the AJC and i don't get but a few of those. I really need a coupon buddy, lol.

The halls cough drops weren't marked as part of the buy 10 sale. I noticed the plus sign at the register- and sent my son to grab 5 cans of delmonte tomatoes. My cashier was awesome, she counted the items for me before we added the tomatoes to make sure the ammended number was right, lol.

I am glad the sale runs for another week... I was going to run out tonight, but not in the rain, lol.

Carnation Evap. Milk - $0.99 - .50/2 c/o & mega sale = FREE

I know I am tired so my math maybe off. By if they are .99 a can and the coupon is .50 for 2 doubled so 1.00 for 2 isn't it

.99 cans X 2 - 1.00/2 = .50 for 2 cans

I am I wrong? Just try to work it out. I have seven coupons so I need 14 cans.

Last mega sale my bill was more than I thought so I am writing everything out so I have a better idea of what the total is.

Thanks a bunch!

Won't these be free with the $2/1 from today's paper?

Pepperidge Farm Crackers or Baked Naturals Crackers (look for Try-Me-Free on the latter), 5.9-10.3 oz., $1.99

Also, are the Steamfresh meals part of the mega deal? Anyone know the price? Hoping they are free or cheap with the $1.50/1 that came out today.

The smaller bags of vegetables and the Steamfresh Meals for Two are on sale. The former are $1.49 (after $5 deduction) and the meals are $5.49. So it's still $.49 - $0.75 for the small bags and $4 for the meals. I think we got a B1G1 for these yesterday instead of a $1.50.

This will be a great deal on pizza if we double dip. Even without using a coupon if we buy 10 -$5/10 deal =1.99@ - the $5/6 cat = $1.49 @ pizza!

They will show on your receipt. Directly under the item purchased NOT at the bottom if they came off. Sometimes mine do, sometimes they don't. Good luck!!

I haven't seen this posted yet.....

Ricola cough drops are a part of the 10/$5 deal. If you still have the free bad coupon this will make overage.

Halls cough drops are also a part of the 10/$5 deal (the regular ones, not the plus, breezers, or refreshers). I saw it mentioned once a few posts back but don't think many saw it. They are on sale for $1 so if you still have the .35/1 coupon it will be a money maker.

Hope this helps!

This is how the coupon is listed in the database:
Scotch-Brite Scrub Sponges, Scour Pads, Ultra NailSaver Absorbent Scrub Sponges, Dishwand or Refill, Any - 09-20-09 RP
So it is good on single packs. I only had a $0.75/2 but that meant they were all of $.12 each. You do understand that they are .49 after the mega event discount, right---that's how a $1/2 makes them free.

Yes - I do get how they are free, but my problem is that the only coupons I could find anywhere (ebay, etc.) said exactly what you wrote above, only it said "Save $1 off any 2 multipacks of..."

So I assume your .75/2 didn't say multipacks? It may just be that when I went to order, there were no more of what you had?

IDK - but the only reason it's even a concern is because OF COURSE I already purchased the coupons! And OF COURSE they are for multipacks where ARE NOT free! UGH!!! Lol.

I live an hour away from Kroger, so I usually can't check the product or price prior to ordering coupons - but I will find a way to double check next time - that's for sure! Lol.

I appreciate your help here! Thank you!! :thanks7:
