Me too Manders - check out my signature line. I am a western PA transplant and proud of it!
By the way if anyone is stocking up on Red Hot (I think .49 is a good price for 12 oz and we use this on everything) the sweet hot BBQ sauce is new and really really good. Pay for it with tuna!

OK...I've been following this thread all week, adding to my list and digging through my coupons to see what I could do. I never have huge multiples, so my list was 3 of this...2 of that...8 of another. Anyway, after reading about the stock shortages, I was stressing!! Then...we found out that my hubby has a second interview for a job he's trying to get...and it's tomorrow, which is normally the only day we can get to the store. So...he juggled around a few things and we went this morning.
I had 50 Mega Sale items on my list, and a couple of other things that we needed. And get this...they had EVERYTHING in stock!!! My total before coupons was $123.xx and after coupons, it was $18.xx. I am soooooooo happy!!!!!
Thanks to everyone for posting the deals!!! I would have missed so many of them!

Also I saw someone post on a blog that when you buy 2 Krusteaz pancake mix you get back 1.00 cat. Anyone else do this deal? Could you please confirm this? I know someone else on this thread was looking for a good deal on pancakes. I think I will try it out today.

I know that the regular uncle bens rice is producing the $1.00 CAT. It was a pleasant surprise. Makes it a really good deal. Buy 6 = $6 - $3qs - $1 CAT = $2/6 or $0.33/1 and we use this stuff a lot since I'm a very lazy cook :hysterical:
Carol...you rock. All of you do actually.
I'm lovin' this sale. It has been a while since I've had a sale that has really gotten me this excited. Maybe last year about this time. I was actually quite stressed...I've read how everyone (different regions) are getting stocked up on all their stuff and I've got a stock pile slowly decreasing. UGH!!
But now I've got my nutrigrain bars well stocked. I'm going to get my rice well stocked. I'm working on the milk situation. I am actually going to jump on this and go ahead and stock up on oatmeal. The boys are going through it like it is going out of style. So it is time.
I want to get the tuna...but coupons aren't easy to come by on that one (wonder why :shrug7: :hysterical:) They would make a great donation thing. As for frozen stuff...I think DH might flip out if I request another freezer :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical:)
I will be stocking up on more tissues. The ultra soft ones are included in the sale...so that's awesome.

This sale has been so great. I ran out of storage space. lol I have had to rearrange cabinets to come up with space to put everything. My van is about to explode, since I haven't brought anything but cold stuff in, since I needed to come up with some storage space. Soon I will not be able to fit the babies in the van. lol I still have alot of trips to make between this week and next. I'm loving this.

The Dole...I've been to the store twice and there wasn't any Dole included. I saw that del-monte was. Which Doles are included? And is it the manderine oranges that also have the CAT? Or is there something else included with the cat (tropical fruit)?

There is also a .50/1 canned fruit at dole's website You have to play the game to get to it.

Here's my take on the Dole Mand. oranges and tropical fruit deal...
I had 2 coupons for $1.00/3, so I got 3 Mandrin oranges and 3 Tropical Fruits. I got 2 Cat's for $.50 off, and a $1.00/5 mandrin. oranges and $1.00/5 Tropical Fruits.
I went back and got 10 (5 oranges, 5 tropical fruits) used my coupons, and I got 2 more $.50 off coupons your next order and only 1 $1.00/5 Tropical Fruits. I was bummed I didn't get another $1.00 off mandrin oranges.

another thing you might think of doing is.... if u cant get hormel qs....but can get tuna qs.... is doing a transaction of 20 hormel $15.80 after mega;30 tuna (makes 15.00) and paying .80 total. if that doesn't wipe the shelves, that is. but its an idea to those ladies that cant find hormel qs.

I'm hoping things get restocked over the next few days. If you know you want something...how reasonable would it be to go and ask for it? I mean...if you know you want a lot of something? Or am I totally on crack here??? :giggle2:

I have gotten rc on megasales and they just write it for the price after the 10. So they would write it for .49. Once that is in, at the end of the transaction, I don't think the q's will have a problem.

As far as rainchecks go, per corporate they write it for the sale price but not the mega price. Sometimes managers have agreed to let me prepay (on the last day of the sale) for items so I could get the mega deal and then I can pick up the items when they were back in stock. They would always deny me on the hot mm items though, so I would not try for the tuna or gloves for example.

I actually did this once for the Cheerios Cheddar Snack Mix. Two months later, I decided to check and see what is up (I had heard nothing), and then they said oh, we discontinued that. Fortunately they had not lost record of the special order so they refunded my money. The first time I special ordered they had no record of the order whatsoever. This is why I am not sure about preordering. I really kind of want to preorder some tissues, but I am scared. Speak peace to me people!

I have the same problem with my husband just about every time he goes to the store with me. I thought I was going to kill him one day in meijer when I had probably half a cart literally of various snacks and he keeps looking in the cart with sad eyes going oh is that what you're getting. I tell him there are other varieties to pick what he wants. He declined and then looked in the cart several more times making comments. After practically yelling at him he finally picked out some things that he wanted, but still whined about the non sale item that he was wanting. I was not adding his over priced snack to my order though. lol Oddly enough though if I send him to the store with a list and stack of coupons he will come home with just those items. Go figure.

I feel your pain. I could get everything under the sun and the one thing I didn't get is what he wants. Grr. Sometimes he will tell me Thomas wants something (Thomas is our 6 month old son, haha). Like "Thomas thinks we need more chicken" and so on. It's actually funny most of the time. Until we check out- all those things add up! I won't get many potatoes this week since they are $.50 and not free, but he will pick out $4.50 cereal if I let him. Total opposites!

for those that are going out in the next little bit (it is 2:00 now). The Finneytown kroger DOES have tuna. I have to say that so far, this Kroger hasn't let me down. So I'm happy. :BigHand:
Also has anyone mentioned the single scotch pads? They are $0.50 after mega sale. If you have the $0.75/2 coupon you can get two for "free" (I put in quotes b/c you have to pay sales tax)!! :whistle67:
Also, I'm afraid to say this...but I don't like the Yakisoba. I'm so bummed. But I just made one a few moments ago and wasn't really happy. Now that could be the fact that I'm 11 weeks pregnant and the baby doesn't like it...who knows? But all I can is ick. So, those will be going back.
Finally, I got DH the wrong kind of grape juice. I don't want to return it...I just want to exchange it. Do you think that would be a problem since it is part of the mega stuff. I figured return could be an issue...but exchanging should be okay. Never had a problem exchanging before...but I've never exchanged a "mega" sale item either.
Oh...one more thing...I bought the following gloves today: (3) disposable (1) hand saver (1) playtex living. I got a CAT for $1 off ANY playtex gloves (includes the disposables). I have no idea what triggered it...but I thought I'd just let people know I got it.

Off to eat lunch.
are these single sponges or the multipacks? I can only find coupons good for multi packs??

ok imma throw this up, just in case
If ANYONE does have the ghardelli coupons. (most likely got them on ebay) there are 2 coupons-
1. is good on any brownie mix ($1/3)
2. Colleen and I both got another set that says "Good on any baking prouct" The coupon DOES beep, but as of right now (up to Colleen) the coupon should be good on the brownie mixes as it is a baking product... but its a YMMV with the cashier and i honestly wouldnt cause a stink on it because the wording is a bit crazy.. and some may or may not consider it a baking product.
IMO I gotta add stuff to it and throw it in the oven, so yes it is a baking product.

Doesn't Kroger have those electical wheelchairs? You can shout out as DH grabs the products and you hold on to the little one!!
I've always wanted to jump on one of those chairs LOL! As of right now we aren't taking her out in public because of flu season etc. Ped. Dr. told me to wait as long as possible. When DGH goes to the store to pick up something he always comes home with extras... But since he is armed with a list (even planned out by isle!), coupons & an estimated total I am hoping he doesn't blow the budget on extras

My husband came home from Meijers once--he was supposed to have a $15 GC from a prescription--instead he had a 2 lb bag of Jelly Bellies and some Maalox. (Seriously!!) =)
Ahaha! They must be related somewhere way back, lol. I sent my hubby to CVS one time to pick up some stuff with ECB that were expiring that day. Not only did ne pick up several things not on the list- He forgot to use the ECB and paid in cash! OMG! We had to rush back before they closed and the cahier was SO annoyed. Then several weeks later I was told they will take expired ECB. :grouch2:

Also, if anyone goes to Landen Kroger for the condensed milk check the dates! All of the nonfat was out of code and a bunch of the 2%. Most were out of code since 6/24/09 and some since 7/10/09. I told management and they said they would take care of it.
Thanks! I bought some from there earlier in the week and didn't even think to check!

Landen wasn't so well stocked today when I went this a.m. I was only able to get 3 butters (they only had 6).
Oh well!! Maybe later this week. I checked my milks and everything is in date, although I should have checked the full-fat evap milk because most of it is use by 1/10/2010, so not much time to use it.

I thought the Playtex Living were printing the Catalinas? Is it only one per transaction or something? I got 5 playtex living and 1 of the disposable yellow kind in the bag (the others were in a box- they were pink for breast cancer awareness) and I got one cat. Any ideas here?
Also, Are we for sure getting the mega sale again next week? My Kroger is doing such a great job at stocking (plenty of snuggle and tuna here!) and I am contemplating ordering more coupons if we will get it again next week. Does anyone know for sure?

Normally I would be putting the ad up, but apparently the Door Store people have decided not to deliver today. GRRR>>>>>
