Hello, I've always used the coupons you cut out from the newspaper in a very casual way - sometimes not even remembering to take them to the supermarket with me. But when our local supermarkets (Pathmark, Shoprite) started linking to coupon sites online, I started to realize I could search for just the coupons I knew I woiuld actually use. In addition, here in Staten Island, one of our supermarkets, King Kullen, doubles up to 5 $1 coupons per shopping order, and as I often stop off there on my way home from work, I now make it a point to have those $1 coupons handy. Last week, they had Starbucks ice cream pints on sale for $2 each, and I was able to print 4 $1 coupons online (2 at home, 2 at work). They doubled them, so the ice cream was free.

I even got proactive enough about this to email King Kullen when several cashiers refused to take more than 2 internet coupons per order. I asked them to clarify, and they told me the cashier was wrong - that they took no more than two IDENTICAL coupons (either newspaper or internet) per order, doubled up to 5 $1 coupons, and doubled all coupons under $1 - no limit except the one about no more than two identical ones.

We get our circulars 2 days before the sale starts, so on down time at work, I look through them, see what's on sale and what coupons I have or can print. Great way to shop and save - Shoprite had Chock Full O Nuts coffee last week for $1.69 and doubled 6 55 cent coupons, so I got 6 cans for .59 each! We are big coffee drinkers, and I was happy to be able to give my 26 year old daughter, who is a teacher and recently moved into her own apartment, a couple of cans of coffee last time I saw her!

Anyway, thanks to anyone who posts those Bricks links, which are the best. Looking forward to learning the tricks of the trade and hopefully contributing when I can.
