Hi,:wavehi:

Just thought that I would let you know that today at the Reston, VA (N VA area) Harris Teeter, in the Frozen Food aisle there was a sign posted by store management that stated--"Due to Kellogg's Production Problems--Eggos were not available".

So if this is posted anywhere in your local HT stores and you wish to use the Eggo products and/or coupons, ask the Customer Service Desk Managers (white shirt managers) and Store Managers/Assistant Managers to "substitute" another brand of comparable price or obtain a rain check for Eggos..:wink7:

My store managers/CSM's did this for me today. It may be YMMV--but give it a try.

Just "food for thought"--

I have noticed this sign at several HTs, Lowe's Foods, and Food Lions in my area - it is apparently a major recall but I haven't heard anything except what's on the signs (which is nothing - LOL).

Yes, I was curious if it was a storewide issue or not. I am sure other stores like Wegman's, Giant/Super G stores, and others may be having the same issues.

Thanks,

<H1>Product Availability

Question:

I have not been able to find Eggo® waffles in the store. When will they be available again?

Answer:

Several recent events have lead to supply issues for Eggo waffles. The most recent challenge is flood damage to a key producing plant in Atlanta. We want to apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you, our loyal consumers. We are working hard to return to business as usual as quickly as possible. Please be assured that Kellogg is committed to continuing to deliver the high-quality products that our customers and consumers know and trust.

There was also a recall on Eggos about a month back for Listeria bacteria:

That doesn't help with supply either!!

I think I know one of the problems...I had bought 2 boxes of Eggo waffles and when I opened the box, the plastic bag that holds the waffles was not sealed. Ditto on the second one. I'm in the process of calling the company. Again...these were the waffles and not the recall items.
