What do they mean "could". So if you make the purchase and send in the rebate form, you might not get the rebate? I think the could underlined is very strange.

I underlined the word "could" as well as underlining the words "limited-time offer, while supplies last" to emphasize this isn't a guaranteed rebate offer. I believe this is the first rebate offer I have seen that is a "while supplies last" one.

I personally will not buy the items just to get the rebate. However, if these items are routine products for you, I would gamble and send for the offer. One has nothing to lose, but a dated cash register receipt and a $.44 stamp.

Yeah, I think IF the items are close to free or a MM then I might gamble with it. I thought that was strange when I saw that too. I hope someone posts their success/failure with the MIR. :)

This is great! We go through a lot of head and shoulders.

You rock with all the rebates you find!!! Thank you!

I emailed Real Simple to ask them about the wording. We'll see what happens.

I'm wondering exactly what items qualify. While the wording says "these brands" they show specific items on some, like Uncle Bens long grain and wild rice.

Do anything by these companies count or just the items pictured?

I need some Eucerin lotion for winter but how do I get a UPC off of it?

By the way, I did something like this for Parents magazine where you got free cookie cutters if you bought Domino sugar. It had the same wording about limited quantities, etc, but in that case, I was willing to take the risk. I got the cookie cutters too!

From what I understand, there is no need to get the UPC off the lotion. The only proof of purchase they need is the receipt w/ the item and date circled (and the 3X5 card filled out).

thanks! Actually, I looked at my empty bottle (LOL) here and the sticker on it kind of peels back so I think I can peel it back enough to remove the UPC and stick it on something else. That is assuming the packaging hasn't changed since I last bought this.

Thanks for posting op :BigHand:

Just a note....the forms says "you could receive a $5 cash rebate from Real Simple." and "Limited-time offer, while supplies last" so there's a chance you won't receive this rebate.

Thank you thank you thank you! I stumbled on to this in the coupon database and I just bought $15 worth of General International coffees for my friend for part of her Christmas Gift - she loves the stuff - and I love the savings from a rebate ")

I'd forgotten about this one. I got a check for $5 last week, so this one worked for me. I used the Northern tissue for the items on this.
