Walgreens: Airwick i-motion FREE!!!

Forgiveness please if this has already been posted, but i didn't see any info on it. So the Airwick is on sale for 50% off, the compact and fresh-matic i-motions are 3.99. We have $4/1 mq's people!!! FREEEEEE!!! I heart freeeeee!!! Just be prepared for the q to beep. Before they ring them up, i let them know that i have a $4 q on the 3.99 item, so it's up to them if they want to adjust the item or q, as long as it's free for me :BigHand:.

p.s. if they're out, just ask for a raincheck. the mq's expire 10/25 though.


Sorry so many ppl had such problems with this deal. I'm just really fortunate to have great walgreens employees and managers.

I thought about it, but due to the $0.01 overage (beeping), I passed it this time... WM has the regular size still on rollback at $6.00, so with $6 MQ (exp. 10/25/09), I got like 7 of them for free (plus tax on pre-Q price in NM...).

(just a word of caution; if you're gettng them at WM, make sure your total MQ $ amount doesn't go over $40 (I think that's what is is). Register will take the MQs over $40, but requires CSM's override...so I felt bad that people behind me had to wait longer...)

ah,that explains why I to wait on CSM the other day I couldn't figure out if it was my amount of coupons or the total. Friday after work (I work at WM) I had 13 Qs so I picked up 13. I get 10% off, so after the Qs I had an overage of $7.80. For $13 (half of it tax) I ended up getting a 3 drawer cart, a pack of steaks, and 13 airwicks.

I was just coming here to post this. :) It's a nice way to use the $4 Qs! I have a few of those but only had 1 $6 Q which I did use on the regular size.

Interestingly though, at one Walgreens in my area they had the 50% off sign but said the regular price was $9.99, so the sale price was $4.99. I lifted the sale tag and underneath it said $7.99. I didn't have them price check, I just passed. Then sure enough at the second WAGs it was actually 50% off and the sale sign said $3.99.

What insert are you getting the $4. coupon from? The database isn't being nice to me, all its showing are printables.

It either $50 in face value of coupons or 40 mfrs. Both scenarios will prompt CSM intervention.

I have been to 4 different Wags today and bought 3 of these at each of the stores. All rang up at $3.99 each, I used the $4 q and had 1 or 2 extra items for each order and none of the coupons beeped. I only got 3 at each store so that there was a minimum of 12 left at each store. I can't stand shelf clearers so that is why I waited until this afternoon to go and also went to 4 different stores instead of buying them all at just one store.

I was told last week that they are not allowed to adjust coupons down in value. I am reluctant to try this.

I purchased 2 airwick from Wags this afternoon. 1st Q went through 2nd one beeped. The cashier said I have no idea why this wont go through. I said you need to adjust the coupon down by .02 since both products were .01 cheaper than my Qs. She said okay that makes sense! And did it??? No problems. Just paid my tax!

(I was going to just buy one of the I Wicks to make sure it worked BEFORE I bought my other stuff.) I guess the worst part is that I felt like I was trying to STEAL it! It is not my fault that their price is lower than the coupon's price!!!

I went to my car (still shaking from being embarrassed/upset,)and I called corporate. The girl told me that it is up to the manager on duty whether or not they WANT to adjust the price. I argued that the MANUFACTURER wanted me to be able to use that coupon! I explained that I was kind of embarrassed and felt like I was stealing in front of the other customers! I did ask for the managers name and told the woman that I didn't want to get anyone in trouble, I just wanted to use my coupon...
The girl at corporate also asked if there were any other Walgreens I could try the coupons at? ARE YOU KIDDING??? Now I have to drive around to other Wags to find a nice manager to adjust my coupon a PENNY??? By the way, both of the Wags are about 12-15 miles from me! Wow, what else can I say??? LOL

See normally that is my Wags' policy as well. They will not adjust the price of the item up to the q value (and it IS coupon fraud to adjust the value of the q down) but they were not rude about it like that at all. Today I asked before trying the imotion and she said it should work since I had other stuff I was buying. The q beeped and she just pushed it thru at $4 even tho the item was $3.99 But typically they will not adjust at my Wags so I was pleasantly surprised today. It's all YMMV on price adjusting the item. I don't think corporate will step in over it, but you could try talking to the store manager about his/her store's policy and possibly the district manager if that gets you no where.

At my Wags they will not adjust the price up nor the coupon amount down. So, I had decided that if the coupon beeped that I would just tell them no thanks and walk away. As I posted earlier, I had no problems and at all 3 stores near me the coupons never beeped, not one. I cannot figure out why some stores they beep at and other stores they do not. It makes no sense to me and I feel bad for those of you who have to deal with this mess.

Yes, that happened to me also today. I had 3 of the air wicks 2 of the q's went thru fine and the third did not. The csa in charge said it was because it adjusted itself for the others but, not the third... ok, whatever that the airwick back and off my bill please.... Later I had to go to my local Wags to pick up a perscription that the nero doc sent in earlier in the day... I got 2 more.... only this time they would not work all... the csa said "oh, it's becaus it's for $4 and the sale price is $3.99. I said oh ok, please take thenoff the bill I unserstand... To my surprise he said that 's stupid and put then thru anyways...Now, don't get me wrong I love my Freebies and all.... But, I do not want to see a csa get into trouble or anything...... I have so may more Q's and want to use them... but, they seem to be causing trouble in my area :(

I had the same problem with a $1 coupon this last weekend. It was for $1 off Colgate. It expires this month and I HATE to waste any coupons. :dramaqueen1: I bought the travel size for $.99 and that particular gentleman refused to do anything. I told him to remove it from my transaction and took my q back.

Its a no go in York, PA as well. They won't adjust the price of the coupon or air fresners and I only had 1 because thats all that was left in the store. *pouts* I REALLY wanted one of these too.

I think Walgreens has become so coupon UNfriendly! I wasn't allowed to use the Airwick coupons at any of my stores yesterday.

I suppose you can buy like 6 of the airwicks....use 5 insert ($4) coupons and one IP ($3) coupon...then you'd be paying .99 plus tax for 6 of them. The computer shouldn't beep as long as the sum of the coupons is less than the sum of the products tied to the coupons.

That's what I did when the Febreeze candles were on closeout for under $2 and there were $2 coupons in the inserts. I bought 4 candles, used three $2 insert coupons and one $1 peelie coupon. Not free...but worth it for me at the time.

Went to 3 stores trying to use the $4 coupon. It beeped at all of them even when other items were put with them. The managers refused to adjust the coupon or the price of the product. Later went to Target where the large ones where on TPC for $5.99 so I just used the coupons for those.
I'm really getting fed up with Walgreens, can't use a lot of my coupons, out of the products after the first day of the sale and half the time don't even get them in on the truck that comes later in the week. Recently when Hersheys was 29 cents (paper stated limit 4) a lady took all the boxes on the shelf. I only wanted 4 as fillers which she did give me when I asked her if she planned to buy them all and told her the paper stated a limit of 4. Thought for sure they would limit her, but NO, she got to buy every Hershey bar in the store in one transaction. So why do they allow that???? Yet they are stinkers about coupons.
