Office Max in years past has had some great FAR deals. I hope we see more from them this year. Can't wait to see what they are offering.

From what I have seen they have been pretty descent. Wish I had one around where I live

Don't forget though-- if you have one within a reasonable distance (like the closest bigger city), you may be able to price match their stuff at Walmart!

And I'm thinking some of the office supply stores price match too... anyone remember for sure?

The closest Office Max to my town is about 30-35 miles away, but the manager at my Walmart said they'll price match any competitors in that area... I've heard that some WM's match stores up to 50 miles away!! :)

Are black friday deals available on online?

10-05-2007, 01:20:40 PM
It varies, depending on the store and the items... there's probably an FAQ on the main Black Friday board that addresses that question and may answer it better than I can.

I'm a little disappointed. In years past they have had a bunch of FAR items and I don't see any here. Good price on the Kodak Easyshare camera but may try to PM that at Walmart instead of going all the way out to OfficeMax. Hoping Staples will have that same camera for that price.

Already Posted Was One Of My Holiday Secrets. Like When They Have Cheap Movies Etc At Say Target, I Take The Ad To Walmart. That Way I Get The Cheap Price Plus No One Is Hording Over Them Since They Arent On Special There. Only With The Competitors Ad:) I Cant Go Shopping This Year Cause We Will Have A New Baby Plus Dh Is Working

OM has sent a Cease and Desist letter to one of the other online sites that has posted their ad so people you need to get this info while you can.

may get a printer as I need one.

I went to my local Office Max and I asked them about a camera I wanted to buy on Friday and I asked how many they would have on stock. The employee said that even if they sell out that as long as I was there during the hours that the camera was on sale, that Office Max would honor the sale price even if the item was out of stock (basically they would give you a raincheck). But if you look at the Black Friday ad it says "While supplies last." on almost every single item. I don't know how much faith to put into what that employee told me so I am still going to get there early so I can get the items I want. Maybe I will call around and see what other Office Max stores will do if the sale items run out. Will keep yall posted.

Oh, I forgot to mention. Wal-Mart will price match anything Office Max has on sale on a few conditions.

1. The item must be identical and have the same model number.
2. The item cannot be associated with a B1G1F or part of a packaged deal. At Wal-Mart is is strictly a one-to-one price match.

Hope that helps.

I saw the Logitech LX715 cordless keyboard and mouse set was going to be on sale BF for $39.99. I bought it on Wedesday at full price ($129.00) and returned it Friday afternoon for the price adjustment. There was absolutely no problem at customer service. Got what I wanted and didn't have to fight the crowds...makes the deal even sweeter!

PS Did anyone else buy this set? How do you like it?

It was the first time I had ever gone to Office Max on Black Friday and I left happy with the way they ran everything. They dispensed tickets while everyone was still in line and it was a smooth experience all the way around. I might have to go there next year if the deals are there.
