I haven't yet managed to print a single coupon from Smartsource, and I would really like to be able to. Here is the situation:
When I first started printing coupons (only a couple months ago), every time I tried to print Smartsource coupons, it would tell me that Java was disabled. I reinstalled Java, restarted the computer several times, tried and tried and tried again. Finally, it didn't give me that error message anymore. Instead, it told me that I couldn't print them because I had already printed those coupons (but I hadn't!). I gave up on the coupons for that week. But I have been checking Smartsource weekly since then, and all I ever get are about 6 "coupons", all of which are things like "Curves" or "Go back to school" or other things that I find completely useless. I never see any of the good Smartsource grocery coupons that I hear about through databases and other conversations. I've tried at least 5-6 different zipcodes and no luck.
If anyone has suggestions, or knows what might be wrong, I would really appreciate some help!
:thanks7:

I have been having the same problem with SS when using FireFox (my browser of choice). If I use Internet Explorer everything seems to work fine. :shrug7: Don't know why. Don't know if it will help you any----worth a try if you haven't already tried it.

I get the same Java message. I e-mailed Smart Source and their response did not help it all. They just told me how to enable Java - well my Java is already enabled. I tried IE and my computer crashed so I don't know what the problem is.

Do you have the latest version of java installed and updated? What version of IE are you using (if you're using IE)? When we wiped the hard drive recently I had to update my IE to version 7 or 8, don't remember now (it was one less than the most recent version) and make sure java was updated before SS would print again.

Also, there are two different places you have to check to see if java is enabled, I finally figured this out a couple of months ago and have been able to print from SS ever since. Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced and make sure Java (Sun) is checkmarked; then also go to -> Programs -> Manage Add Ons and hit the Publisher button to arrange them by Publisher, and make sure everything listed with Sun Microsystems, Inc is 'enabled'. Once I did that second part, I didn't have any problems printing.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I have tried all of them with mixed success. No real coupons printed yet, but I did manage to print one of the silly Sears offers this evening. Hey, at least that's progress!
I have a "help" message in to Smartsource. We'll see if they have anything helpful to say.

I have the same problem, and smartsources' response to my email (about a month ago) was completely useless. by any chance, do you have vista
? my bro thinks the printer, vista & SS have trouble communicating. we can't figure out how to fix, either. :sad:my 2 cents, for what its worth, you're not alone :wavehi:

I have several computers, it works fine on my desktop using vista, and on ds new laptop-a mac..but our older imac it won't..says update java, and won't let me then update java, as the latest java is too much for the old imac, LOl..however, the old imac can print redplum and coupons.com just fine..frustrating
