:smileyparty:I am drunk with coupon "intoxication." I embarrassed my 15 year old DD at Kohl's today because she said I was making "grunting" noises due to my excitement over the major deals I was getting. I bought 25 $10 off $10 puchase Kohl's coupons on eBay recently. I was skeptical that they might be fake. To my delight, I got them today and they were genuine. I have major "happy teeth" as my mother always says.
My DD needed winter stuff and I didn't pay more than $3 for anything. I immediately called my BFF when I got home to share my "news." We both got online and bought more for another shopping spree in a few days when we get them.
I am truly a couponaholic!! :cheerleader:

I am down to one Kohl's coupon and will probably go tomorrow to get something. They really scrutinize the coupons now because so many people are committing coupon fraud by copying them. I am happy mine were real. I was able to get new dishes! Yay!

I'm right there with you...I always have them with me because I'm working up a trade or making up a shopping list or filing the ones that came in Sunday's paper. My coworkers & I swap with each other all the time. One night in Kroger, I saw a girl (a cashier from the Walgreens) in Kroger shopping for Loreal make up, they were BOGO & I knew I had coupons for them & I was not going to use them....sound them & sent the DD5 with them to her...got her $4 more off. The thrill of the bigger amount showing up in the savings rather than the paid column...makes it all worth it.

I'm drunk with Coupons too. I hane even gotten my husband to start sipping; he asks for them now, before he goes shopping.

My boyfriend gets a kick out of seeing my face light up when I come home with BAGS AND BAGS of Rite Aid FREE stuff. But, on the same note he's getting concerned about the bags piled in the corner of the bedroom and you haven't been able to see the dining room table in weeks! I need to have a "sale"... :hysterical::hysterical:
*I'm even using $5/$20 Rite Aid coupons that have no exclusions printed on them to get his darn cigarettes.. I should be buying him Nicorette!* :giggle2:

You know, it really is a "high" to save 75% of your grocery bill using little scraps of paper that most people throw away. I'm drunk on coupons right along with the rest of you.

After my first REALLY great deal I noticed my body felt odd and I was lightheaded, thats when I realized I felt high. I still get the high on really great deals.

Ah even people who have been couponing for awhile still get the "coupon haze" feeling.
Best feeling ever!

I WANT DOUBLE AND TRIPLE COUPONS!!
I do get highs from it as well. But do I get jealous when I hear about doubles and triples. Sometimes it makes me want to cry.

Its a feeling of knowing that you did something good for your family. You can buy things you normally can't afford. The high is awesome. The feeling you get when your coupons ring up and you dont pay much oop. The food taste better, the pop is sweeter and the perfume smells better when you use coupons and you saved money for your family.

great thread! I tell my husband that this is a much better "addiction" than many others. I have girlfriends who get a rush from spending money only they cannot afford what they are buying and are just racking up cc bills! At least our dug of choice is free or saves our family money!

I definitely had a high last night when the WAGs machine just kept spitting out RRs. And today when I paid 2.10 OOP and got back $12 in RR It was my first MM deal!

My teenage son told me yesterday that I'd better stop couponing. He said at first it was funny, but now it's just "scary". Ha ha. He sure appreciates the personal products I get for him and all the great snacks we have stockpiled!

That sounds about right, except when I do it, it's high-pitched squealing with my jazz hands near my face. And it's usually in the parking lot of the store.
