Rite-Aid: New $5.00/$25.00 IP (mod edit: coupon IS legit)

Redplum.com posted a new Rite-Aid $5.00 off $25.00 purchase coupon this morning, if you don't see it try using zip code 47140. This coupon didn't excite me much at first with all of the other $5/$20 and $5/$25 IPs available right now, until I printed it and saw the expiration date is 12/31/2010, WOW.

Anyone else find the wording on this a bit strange? It doesn't have any of the usual language about not being good on prescriptions, gift cards, stamps, etc.

Yea....mis-spellings, incomplete sentences, missing typical exclusions and expiration date that is 10x longer than their typical expiration date makes me think this was released before it went to proof.

I also printed it twice and I agree, it does not look right. I went to www.veri-fi.com (http://www.veri-fi.com) and both the codes (one from each coupon) were considered invalid. Just one more red flag with this coupon. Anyway to verify this coupon with Redplum?

I’ve done some research on this, and it appears that this is a valid coupon, but it is only available in select areas. For example, if you are in zip code 40025, the offer does appear on our grocery page. The coupon is valid, and should be accepted by the store.

Called customer service: asked for advertising, she insisted I tell her the problem so I did.
Then was directed to corp: 717-761-2633 Told to press zero
I asked for advertising. So they transfer me.
The lady who answered said she was the only one there and was a graphic artist and she could not help me. So she said she would transfer me. I asked her where I was being transferred to and she said she didn't know, she had to talk to her boss.
I get transferred to marketing dept.
I explain to the lady the following issues:


The misspellings
The incomplete sentences
That it does not have the usual exclusions
The long expiration date
The weird box that pops up about print limit being reached on a $30.00 gift card.
The veri-fi code saying it is invalid.


She asked me to hold while she printed it off. She then took the coupon to her boss and I guess several other people (her words) and was told the coupon is legit (while I was on hold). She told me it didn't come through the usual department (her department) that usually issues the coupons hence the reason it is different. She did say that she would be discussing the missing exclusions etc with the other department (she never mentioned the other dept). She said the coupon is also Geo targeted.......meaning this coupon is meant for some areas and not others. She said if I called my grandma (which I don't have a grandma LOL) and told her to print the coupon she may not find it.

So anyways........the final word from Rite Aid is the coupon is legit.

The coupon does not pop up for my alabama zip but worked fine.
My sil had to search through the box to find it, but It scanned fine yesterday.

eta: it now pulls up on a zip search.....

She used hers on fa scr items and the drink special.

It was her first ra experience.

I was able to use the $5/$25 on a $25 gift card (I also used a $20 GOS, so it was free). Tried at a few different RAs and most said the GOS could not be used (2 stores didn't pay attention). None of them questioned the $5/$25 just the $20 GOS.
