I'm actually a little excited about this one.
Collect premiums for every $35 spent in a single order.
Save up:
15 for $10 gift card
30 for $20 gift card
45 for $30 gift card
60 for $40 gift card
It says that the double coupon value would not count toward your total, but I am thinking that just face value q's would, so that's pretty exciting, some of us might actually be able to participate in this one!

I never participated when the limit was $50 and I walked right past the information this morning because I assumed it was the same limit! Thanks for the info, may have to change my game plan around for the next few weeks!

Yeah, I was thinking that the $35 was doable since I am not waiting till Wed to shop any more since nothing is in stock by that time of the week.

I asked the cashier about it today and she said the # of premiums you earn is based on your total $ before coupons and after Advantage Plus card. I was happy about that. I noticed they lowered the amount to $35, but I think they increased the # of premiums you have to earn before you can cash in. I will still try to reach at least 15 though.

I'm curious to hear which Pick N Save that you're shopping at on Wednesday that is so "out of stock". I'm in Brookfield and find that the stores out here and in Pewaukee are quite well stocked on Wednesdays.

I'm in the Milwaukee area, many of the stores around here are completely OOS by Wed of any of the really good sale items.
Also, your comment sounded rude.

Didn't sound rude to me. Texts can be easily misread.
Anyway, I'm having a hard time grasping how 15 premiums for spending $35 after doubled q's can be a good saving? That's less than $1 back per transaction. Can someone enlighten me?

10-15-2009, 06:30:17 AM
Maybe I'm just in a grouchy mood and misread. Sorry.
If I am understanding correctly, it doesn't have to be $35 OOP to earn a premium, just a total of $35 before coupons. And the page said that double coupon amounts will not count, so I'm guessing that the doubled portion is all they are talking about.
You're right, it's not a super fantastic deal, but it is much better than the $50 minimum to get a premium, and maybe with the holiday shopping, some of us will end up earning a gift card.

It is the same way here Mel- I have been having to get rain checks for all of the sale items lately... but since I live a block away I really can't complain I guess:shrug7:
I am thinking I should contact more companies in hopes of "frees" to get my total to $35:hysterical:
Thanks for the heads up btw.

That's what I was thinking too, especially since they will probably have some kind of a turkey promo and we will most likely need to get up to $25 for that.
We're also a block away from one of the picks that we shop at - the weekend shopping is working nicely for us right now.
You're most welcome for the heads up, when your sale paper arrives, the full details will be on the flap :)

I don't know if Copp's stores are different, but at my store the signage said that every time you spend $525 now through December 19, 2009 you qualify for a $10 gift card. I guess it's the same amount, but worded differently :)
Also, these promotions are good now through December 2, 2009:
- Get $5 off your next shopping order when you buy $20 of kellogg's cereal (awesome for this week's deal of buy 8 for $20, get $10 off instantly!)
- Get $5 off your next shopping order when you buy $20 of yoplait yogurt
- Purchase 7 half gallons of Roundy's select ice cream, get the 8th gallon free
- Purchase 4 packages of Roundy's sausage and get the 5th free
- Get $5 off your next shopping order when you buy $50 of Badger merchandise
It looks like none of this has to be in the same transaction, they keep track of it for you with your Roundy's card :BigHand:

wow, those are great deals to combine with this, thanks so much for the heads up.
Wording it as $10 for every $525 you spend doesn't make it sound like such a great deal, does it ;)

Well, it's 21 $25 transactions between now and December 19th. Hmm, I wonder if I can do that. There are 9 more Wednesdays between now and then. That's 2 transactions a week, plus 3 more transactions. :giggle2:
Maybe I can get the $10, but I won't go out of my way to do it :wink7:

Speaking of this deal, does anyone remember how the $10 off instantly affects needing $25 to double coupons? Like, can I buy just the $20 worth of kelloggs and $5 more in other items to reach my $25? Or do I need another $10 to cover the instant savings? Thanks!

oooh oooh oooh pick me!
LOL, I know this one. The $10 off is counted as a store coupon, so you will have to purchase $15 more to qualify for your doubles. HTH.

Actually, I did the Kellogg's deal twice yesterday, and both times my total was under $25 even after the $10 instant savings, and my coupons doubled still! I paid $7 and $8 for both transactions, could have done better if I'd had all the right coupons with me, but I was still really happy with what I brought home!
However, I didn't get a $5 OYNO cat for the Kellogg's deals. When does that promotion begin? I'm thinking of going back tonight for more cereal even without doubled coupons, it's still a great deal!

So does it not say anything at all on the bottom of your receipts about the kelloggs spend $20 get $5 OYNO? Hmm, curious
Hopefully it will work, because my ad says, "Rewards electronically applied on your next shopping order of $5 or more."

I'm a cashier at a Copps and I have been looking on people's receipts to check this out lol. if you get the cereal deal you only get $10 for the cereal total. so you would have to do two deals to get to the $20 total. also you dont get a catalina you will get $5.00 off your next shopping order which will just come off automatically.

I live in Waterford and our Pick N save is poorly stocked and most special tags are removed by Wed...making shopping for deals alot of work! Plus we can only double 5 coupons per trans. I wish they would remove that limit of 5 as most stores nationally do not limit it! Overall I do not shop pick n save unless I see a really good deal.
Do you know anyone who is blogging weekly on the deals with coupon match ups for pick n save in se wi? I was following frugal gossip but that site is no longer active that I can find anyway

Buy4five, one of the members here on HCW, happysoul, does a blog called Common Sense With Money, and she does weekly coupon matches for PicknSave. She lives in NE WI, I believe, so our ads are usually a week ahead of SE, but that's great for you guys, since you have time to plan and gather coupons (I think I'm actually a little jealous)! Btw, I usually just shop PNS for the stock-up deals as well; otherwise I price-match at Walmart or else I'll decide which grocery store has the most sales worth going to for the week.

I know Pick N Save usually has the same sale/ deals as Copps, but does anyone know if PnS is participating in the extra $5 off wyb $20 of Kelloggs? I bought 8 Kelloggs items today for the $10 off sale, but did not see anything on my receipt about $5 off my next order.

Can someone tell me if we have to save the "premium points" part of every receipt or does it just keep track on your card... TIA

I think we are supposed to save the receipts. I'm talking about Pick in the SE though, I am not familiar with how copps does their promotions at all. I was wondering if we need to save the whole receipt or just the part with the premium on it.

I found out that the special kelloggs deal is a Madison based deal only. It has to do with the new HYvee as compitition. Thats what a store director told me.

At Copps (at least the one I've shopped at) it keeps track of it via your card, like the gas discounts. I would probably check your receipt and if there is some sort of certificate I would keep it.
This is annoying that every store seems to have a different way of doing things! It makes it a lot more difficult to share deals.

I got my first premium last week after spending a whopping $11 OOP - for 16 boxes of cereal and 4 (4) packs of yogurt. I have rainchecks that I have to start working on redeeming.. BUT I am soo looking forward to tomorrows BOGO yogurt! You must have awesome fridge space melli.

Yep, actually got the idea from someone else on the board (can't remember who, sorry!) works just fine, but not all kinds freeze the same. Some do not return to their former glory - I want to say that Activia does not... but I am not sure I am remembering correctly. We freeze yoplus and are happy with the way it thaws - or not - makes a good slushie too :)

OK.. so I am just a little proud and have to tell someone. Had a rain check for the bogo skippy. Bought 16 jars of Skippy and 14 4-packs of yogurt... My total came to $7.74. Even better yet, I got 8 $1 OYNO. Yay! Really bad picture but it feels great!

I don't get on here nearly as much as I should... I'll bet last week with the yoplus and meats i bought (new PNS in Franklin left me with a few NWPR meat WTs!!!) I would have cleared mult. 'premiums' for low oop. "wondering if card keeps track but doubts it!!"

Hey Kim, nice to see you! Franklin, huh? I don't think our SE stores keep track on our cards for us, I think we need to meet the $35 threshold each time to be given one of those receipts with the premium printed at the bottom. The North neighbors of ours, I think that theirs is kept track of on their card and they just have to reach the predetermined total --- that would have been cool, maybe next time ours will be like that too.
kimfn
11-03-2009, 02:47:15 AM
oh well!! and yes it would be cool....I also wish spouses could 'share' a card number..... my DH does the SUnday shopping and I do the Wed shopping...though I know we never spend $35 in a crack.
I think it was Estancia wine... had NWPR for $2 off beef, pork or chicken (!!!) (need to spend $8 on 'other'). I only took 3 because DH was nervous the new store police would bust me for taking em.
