.
The book is the size of a dollar bill and it has about 12 pages.

Just the other day I was redeeming one of my favorite coupons from this book:

FREE any size single serve Giant Eagle Market District beverage with any in-store purchase.

I purchase a 50’ bag of Planters' Peanuts.

+

As I was walking out of the GetGo, there was an employee handing out those coupon books.

Of course I took one.

Hey, I was saving while I was walking into the store and I was saving while I was walking out of the store!

+

I want to mention that whenever inside a GetGo location, ask the cashier if they have any of these GetGo Kitchen Get Savings coupon books.

At another visit, I asked the cashier because I spied a stack of them sitting on the side of the cash register.

Sweeeet!

Q) What is the least expensive item found in a GetGo store?

I think these were in the mailed ads a few weeks back too. They are pretty nice little booklets!

I'm not sure what the least expensive item is.... There has to be some items under $.50. Is BigRed, Juicy Fruit etc. still sold for under $.50 for the 5pk?

I usually buy a Giant Eagle gift card and use it on my next visit to the store.

Well I just got done talking to Giant Eagle about a GetGo situation ...

The following was composed on my word processor and displayed in front of me when I made the telephone call:

+++++

I first asked:

Q) Is this the telephone number for GetGo customer relations?

She responded that she could help me.

+++++

On Tuesday, 13 October I was at the following GetGo:

Parma Heights GetGo
6730 Pearl Road
Parma, OH 44130
(440) 845-3301

I presented the cashier with the following GetGo Kitchen Get Savings Coupon:

"FREE any size single serve Giant Eagle or Market District beverage with an in-store purchase"

Expires: 11/28/2009

0-00000-05768-4 = UPC

The cashier told me that their manager instructed them not to honor this coupon when a customer purchased the following item, which is a Fruitation:

Giant Eagle Fruitation
Black Cherry
1 liter (33.8 ounces)
0-30034-05550-9 = UPC

+

I politely pointed out that this item is:

• indeed a Giant Eagle product
• indeed a beverage

I then asked to speak to the manager on duty.

An employee name Cody said that there was no manager on duty.

He pointed out on the coupon that the illustration was a bottle of iced tea and a bottle of water.

“That Fruitation is a pop.”

Those were his exact words.

+++++

Long story short, the person I spoke to understood the situation and said that she would contact the district manager concerning this misunderstanding.

She took my name and my telephone number.

(At the beginning of the call, a recorded message asks you to have your Giant Eagle Advantage Card number nearby)

+

As always, when wrapping up a call, I ask:

Q) Can I have your first name for my records?
