I have a headache and I'm trying to figure this out. My brain hurts lol.
Herbal essense is on sale 2/$5. I have 3 BOGO coupons & 6 $1/1 coupons.
So can I buy 6, use the 3 BOGO's & then 6 $1/1 coupons?
I don't have enough coupons to do the rebate thing. So I believe that this would be the next best thing if its allowed.
If my math is right, that would make it $1.50 for 6 bottles.
Crossing my fingers here!

You will have to buy 9 bottles to use all the coupons you listed. You can't use a bogo and a $1/1 for the same bottle. I would try to throw in something else to get the $10 P&G rebate and it will also count toward the GOS (or whatever it's called).

If you are only buying 6, then you can only use 6 coupons, so 3 BOGO's and 3 1.00/1
It would look like this
2.50 x 6 = 15.00
- bogo coupon 7.50
- 3 1.00/1 coupon 3.00
= 4.50 for all 6 bottles, or .75 each
OR
6 shampoo / cond = 15.00
6 styling products = 15.00
-5/25 RA coupon (google it)
-3 BOGO coupons = 7.50
-6 1.00/1 coupons = 6.00
11.50 oop, get 10 SCR Gift Card
1.50 for 12 bottles, or .12 cents each
If you wanted the lowest OOP, the first option would be best.
If you can take the higher OOP, the second is a better deal, because the per bottle cost is less.

My store would not allow the $1/1 Q's to be used in conjunction with the BOGO Q's as shown in the example posted above. I found that out the hard way trying to do it with the Reese's peanut butter cups.

You guys are awesome! Thanks so much. I'm going to go with option 1. This is only my second week couponing. I've been lurking for awhile now but just actually started to do it the right way last week. So I want to start off slow for now. :)

I come up with $11.50 oop for the second one?

Thank you so much for this post!! I am trying to tell people on another board that you can't use a bogo and $1/1 on just 2 items! I was starting to think it was just me.

DO very many of you have problems using $1/1 and BOGO? I have the ultimate deal plan idea and I am scared to try it, lol. There is one super nice cashier who would probably let me use coupons for items I didn't even buy (jk) so I should have no issues, but I dunno. Also, does your RA allow you to stack $x/$xx coupons? (like if I spend $45 they let me use a $5/$25 and a $5/$20) Mine does which makes me think they are on the loose side.

My store would NEVER let me stack x/xx coupons.. are you kidding me.. I can hardly get them to let me use one!!
I am able to use bogo coupons and x/1 coupons as long as I dont have more coupons then items.

Fraud using BOGO & $x/1 or two $5/$x? I figured it was a regional/ store specific thing. The store manager told all the cashiers it was fine as long as the subtotal was higher than the coupons called for. I was doing a transaction and had my hubby do one since they say one per customer. The cashier said we didn't need to break it up because the manager okayed it.

MOD EDIT:
There was so much confusing information in this thread some of it was correct, some was incorrect so I'm going to clear everything up.
BOGO coupon usuage 101
1) BOGO coupons say buy X get Y free. So the coupon is actually only applied to the one that you get free, in this case Y. There is nothing to say that you can not use another coupon on the one product you are actually buying, in this case X. So YES, you CAN use a 1/1 coupon on X.
RIGHT: Example: Buy 2 herbal essences use 1 X 1/1 and 1 X BOGO
HOWEVER: this is totally YMMV at stores.
2) You can NOT use a $/2+ because that coupon applies to 2 products.
WRONG: Example: Buy 2 herbal essences use 1/2 and 1 X BOGO.
3) The rule of thumb is that you can NOT have more products than coupons.
WRONG: Example: Buy 2 herbal essences use 2 X 1/1 and 1 X BOGO
There is too many coupons for the number of products. See number 1 for the correct scenario.
4) WYB VS. AND : If a coupon says Save $1.00 on X WYB Y, you CAN use a coupon $/1 coupon on Y. If a coupon says Save $1.00 on X AND Y, then you can NOT use another coupon on either X or Y because the coupon applies to BOTH.
Rite Aid $/$$ Coupons:
1) Rite Aid Store coupons: $5/$25 or $5/$20 or any other such coupons can NOT be stacked (meaning you can NOT use a 5/25 and a 5/20 together).
2) Only ONE may be used per transaction.
3) Some Rite Aids enforce that these coupons can only be used AFTER all other coupons, other Rite Aids allow them to be used before all other coupons so YMMV.
Hopefully this will clear up any confusion. If you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks for clearing the BOGO thing up. I always wondered why sometimes people would use two and other times nobody would suggest it.

This particular b1g1 would work via computer stacked because of it's coding, most won't though.
It's a YMMV, because coupons coded "14" (true B1G1 coding) attach to two items & do NOT allow for the computer to take an additional one.

Correct, although just because a coupon is coded as a true BOGO doesn't mean you can't use another coupon with it. That just means the register will beep and the cashier will have to manually enter the coupon........hence the YMMV.
