I have a puzzling question for someone here that might also get the Post Dispatch. I sent hubby to town this morning to get Five Newspapers because my Coupon supply was almost nonexsistant and when he got home with them, there were No Red Plum Inserts at all and most of them had two Proctor and Gamble Inserts in them and one Smart Source. Did they run short on Red Plum or did someone remove them and replace them with the P and G? Another question, up at the top of the Newspaper,it says "Final Edition" ??? Does that mean they are no longer going to be publishing the Post Dispatch? I have looked around online for an answer to these questions and cant seem to find one. If you know I would appreciate a response. If this has been posted in the wrong place feel free to move it. Thanks!:rolleyes24:

I did not notice the final addition....that would be terrible!!!
I did not have the correct coupons in my papers either! I had exactly the same thing you had. I am going to call the newspaper office and complain.
Do you mind me asking where you are located?

Maybe Final Edition means that it is not the Early Edition that comes out. I did not notice the final edition on mine yesterday. I had all of the right coupons yesterday-but a couple of weeks ago-the weekend there were suppose to be 5 inserts-all of the papers in one town only had one insert.

"Final edition" only means that it's the last edition of the paper for that Sunday. I get my Post Dispatch home delivered and got the proper coupons this week. But last week half of my SmartSource was missing, over 40 coupons. I found that out when I purchased another copy at the store and found all the coupons in that one.

I grabbed 2 SLPD's from 2 different Walgreens in St. Clair county on Sunday morning and had both had the correct inserts. While I did not notice what edition it said it was, since it was Sunday morning, I imagine it was the final edition, not the early edition.

I have had this problem in the past. I even grabbed papers from near the bottom thinking people wouldn't take the inserts out and then put them back at the bottom. I don't have issues when I get the Saturday edition.

I think it's just an issue at the printers. This week 2 of my papers were the same as OP's but one week I got 6 of EACH inserts in my papers. I usually get mine at the Dollar Tree so they're cheaper, but occasionally I pick up a couple at Walgreens or something if I only want 1 or 2 and those are the ones that usually screwy. I think it's weird that they wouldn't all be the same though, but, who knows?

There is an early edition of the St Louis Post Dispatch that comes out on Saturday and there is also an Illinois edition. The final edition is the last of that particular weekend. I am in Southern Illinois and bought papers at two locations in the same town. Both had the papers with the correct inserts, as well as missing an insert but double P&G. That is why I always check them before buying them.

I didnt get a Smart Source in this week's home delivered Sunday paper (10/18). Did anyone else get shorted? This is the 2nd week in a row I've not gotten the right inserts.

call the paper office, a friend of mine called a few weeks ago and they were going to help her till they asked for her subscription number and she said she got the paper at the store, they told her if she had a subscription they could help her.
Worth a call, maybe they will help ya:shrug7:

I live in Southern Illinois and subscribed to St Louis Post for coupons and adds. First I found that they do not put local adds (Target, grocery store, etc) in the paper due to my location. NOW THEY HAVE STOPPED PUTTING COUPONS in RURAL areas. Do they not think if you live outside St Louis that you do not need to save money? This Gma on retirement income has cancelled my subscription and wait till they check the sales in this area for today. My daughter goes to buy many papers every Sunday...while she was there she and several other couponers walked out without a paper....OHHHH bad move on their part. We will just move to internet and buy local papers if have coupons....sigh....
