Do some stores require you to give them your clubcard first before coupons or can you give them your coupons and then give them your clubcard. Example you are getting someting that is B1G1F and you have two coupons. Giant says on their website you can use two coupons for this (each item rings up 1/2 off) but when I went to Harris Teeter they wouldn't let me because it rang up the second item was free after I gave them my card and then coupons. Would the store loose money if I would have gave them my coupons first and then my club card. Where can I find written information that you have to present your clubcard first before everything else to receive the discounted price.

Every store is different with B1G1 sale items and coupons. Some let you use a coupon on each and others don't. I don't think it matters what order you give them your coupons/club card. I never give them the card because I put in my phone number, but I do always do it first(just what I do).

AT some stores it does matter if you give your card first because you won't get the sale price until your card is swiped. If you aren't doing anything wrong and just trying to make teh transaction easier by waiting to give the card go for it.

depending on what i'm getting and the sale, sometimes i do the card 1st.
but with a BOGO item i do the coupons and then the card (makes the items free).

My store always requires the club card before any coupons but again, the BOGO thing really is a YMMV and a store to store thing. The best way to find out something like this is to go to the store forum for your specific store and find out the scoop there.

At stores that double I always give my card first because the coupons won't double without my card.

As far as the B1G1 thing that has to do with store policy. Harris Teeter's policy is to only take one Q on a BOGO sale, however if you buy only one item it will ring up half price and you can still use a coupon. It makes it harder to stock up, but that's the policy.

My Safeway makes me do the clubcard first - which then means I can only use 1 Q on BOGO b/c the second item rings up as 0.00. It is a pain - when I can I go through self-check where I get to choose the order.

Actually I was recently at Fry's and the cashier put all my coupons through first and then asked for my club card at the end. It wouldn't give me the current deal of get $X off for buying like 10 items, so I had to go to customer service and the lady there (who is always great!) let me know that the cashier did not follow their policy of card first and coupons last and that is what causes the problem and the manager was walking by and came by and confirmed that this causes a problem with their system. So I think if you don't want to make a trip to customer service at Fry's do your card before the coupons there.
