Hi! I have never been in my local Walgreens, and I'm fairly new to couponing so I was extremely nervous to go in there with a ton of coupons. Thankfully the cashiers were very nice. If anyone has any suggestions for how I could have made these deals better, please let me know! I want to learn! I couldn't do the Dove deal because I already used my best coupons at CVS, and the items I wanted weren't in stock. Also, some of the items I planned on weren't listed at the sales prices I thought they were supposed to be.

Transaction #1
Crest 2/$4
Chapstick $2.99
Vaseline Sheer Infusion $6.99
-$1.50 Vaseline Q
-$1/2 Crest Q
Total: $11.48, earned $12 RR

Transaction #2
Coffee-Mate 2/$3
Trident 2/$2
Bic Comfort 3 $3.99
Glade Candle $3.99
Glade Candle $3.99
Rimmel Mascara $7.49
Rimmel Shadow $5.99
Jello 2/$1 (in ad Q)
Campbell's Tomato Soup 2/$1 (in ad Q)
Roc Cleanser $9.99
Total: $42.44
-$5.99 Rimmel bogo sale
-$5 Roc in ad Q
-$3 Roc Manu Q
-75c Trident Q
-75c Trident Q
-$1/2 Campbells Q
-50c/2 Jello Q
-$1.50/2 Coffee-Mate Q
-$3.50 Glade Q
-$3 Glade Q
-$2 Bic Q
$15.45, used $10 RR, $5.45 OOP, earned $2 & have $2 left from Trans #1

I wanted to use another $2 RR, but the cashier told me I hit my coupon limit and couldn't use it. I also had a bogo Rimmel Q, but apparently at my store they don't allow that with a bogo sale.

You did well!

Believe me, it gets easier once you get the hang of it with Wags. I was intimidated when I first started as well.

Pretty soon you'll be using the terms "rolling" and "filler" like it's a second language.

I think you did great! They do keep one coupon to each item purchased, but you could have filled in with something inexpensive like pencils -- someone posted on one of the threads about pencils being individually priced at 10 to 13 cents at their stores, which would have given you an extra item and allowed you to use that extra $2 RR. Some folks have been doing this a long time and can get their OOP figures down to just cents.

But, funds available basis, you could also buy some of the Halls Refresh, Dentek Floss, additional Chapstick, or other always necessary items that are going on all month to build up not only your home stock but to gain a few more RR to use on the next week's promotions. There are several stores near me, and if one doesn't have stock, I will go to the next one down the road a few miles. I will go out today to see if I can pick up some last minute deals for this week. I will use a $1 Halls Refresh (Cadbury) RR to buy the Dentek floss which is on sale for $2 and get $2 Dentek RR, which will be $1 OOP for example, but unless you have a drawer full of dental stuff, free is good -- you just have to spend your RR at WAGS, but coming up there will be PB, Ragu, Bertolli meals, and at least a couple times in the past I recall that combination generating more RR.

Congrats! You did great!

The Rimmel Q with Sale is by store, I got mine free for both. If you know of other couponers in your area it's a good idea to find out which stores are more coupon friendly and take your ymmv q's there.

Still you did a fantastic job!!!
