With prices changing so much from last year how do you know when to buy?? I am hoping for some great baking sales for sugar and such this year. But I got brown sugar for .09 cents a pound 2 years ago and the next year it wasn't a sale I could find. There was a low sale, but I expected a better deal and so didn't buy it and then was stuck having to get it from a discount warehouse.
So what's your price and strategy in this changing market??

we should see baking sales from now till Christmas. Last year Dixie crystal (I think that is the name) put out .35/1 blinkies that made dark and light brown sugar free at triples. I found my blinkies at food lion that started with 5. My goal is to start a price book this month because I'm starting to forget what is free and cheap. I will say the McCormick spice/extract sale this week is the best deal I've seen unless you buy bulk.

Btw I like your DD's middle name. I named my DD Josephine!

Thanks! My HT doesn't carry Dixie or I couldn't find the coupon- can't remember which, but I was so bummed because the year before I got such great deals!

I'm with you on the price book. It seemed easy before, but now with everything chanign it's difficult. All my Mcormick coupons have expired or are for 1.00. Did I miss a new one?

Thanks We love the name and have contemplated her going by it :)

when you see a decent price... get a raincheck. if something better doesnt come along, you have the raincheck to fall back on at least... thats my strategy...

and I didn't know Josephine was such a popular name... that's my DD's middle name also! LOL!!

Thanks! That's a great idea! Is there a time when it's easier to get a rain check??

How fun that Josephine is a loved name. We love it. I didn't realize it's popularity either!

I find out when each store's truck comes in. then hit the night before for a rain-check run, when thats what I want ;) even if they are out of just one "flavor" ask for a raincheck... like the snuggle last week at food lion... sure they had some left, but not the scent I wanted. so I got a RC.... they dont need to be completely out, just know that they may note the RC to be good only on that type... but usually, they don't
