I'm fighting breast cancer right now. I was diagnosed Oct. 1 2008. I'm still in treatment. So I can't wait to see everyone go pink. (now how do I pink my profile?)

I was just going to post this as a site wide promotion like I did last year.

Irishlass if I have your permission I would like to move this thread on over to the announcements section of the site so that everyone can participate. And I will personally donate $1.00 for each member that "Pinks Their Profile" through the end of the month of October to the Susan G. Komen foundation.

Also...I think we are experiancing issues with members being able to use a picture as a background on their profile pages. Our tech guy was working on it but not sure if it is resolved just yet.

To change your Avatar go to Edit Avatar (http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/profile.php?do=editavatar)

You can upload your own avatar from your computer. To find a breast cancer avatar try Googling "Breast Cancer Avatar" and then if you find one save it to your computer and then come on back and upload it via the above link.

To change your profile page and make it all pink go to Customize Profile (http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/profile.php?do=customize) and there you can select fonts, colors, etc. for your profile page.

i've gone pink.My mom had breast cancer at the tender age of 39-i started mamos at 31-found a lump had it removed at yes AGE 39-scared me a bit.Mom is a survivor but back then they dug a big crater in your chest and insurance did not pay for reconstructive surgery.She is now 69 and still has the crater but none the less a survivor.Bless all those that face this road and all those who choose to walk it with them.

New avatar...I am saving my lids from Yoplait yogurt!

My aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1982. She died in 1986 at the age of 48. Cancer treatment has come such a long way since then...she may have survived today.

My profile is just a little pink. :giggle2: TIA for the reps!

click at the top User CP
then click customize profile
and start making PINK

Okay, I had trouble getting my avatar to download, but when I posted there it was. Now I have to figure out how to change all of my text and background to pink. I need help, please, and easy to understand, step-by-step instructions a 3 year old could understand. :smile:

For those who need help with their profiles:

1. Click on your name in the upper right hand corner-- "Welcome (insert name here)" to get to your profile.

2. Click on "customize profile" near the top center of your profile underneath where it says trader and hot/flaming/etc.

3. Depending upon how pink you want it, start typing in pink wherever it asks what color you want for each part of your profile-- you can do a preview for each item to see how it's coming along.

4. When you've finished pinking, click the "save changes" button at the bottom. And you're done!

Just want to add, when you edit your profile page, that if you don't know the color name or #, just left click on the color box (the box next to the box that says border color or text color) and you'll get the entire prism, so you can get different shades.

I tried to pink my profile but wasn't sure what I was doing. I hope it worked, but if not I'll try again. This December I will have survived Breast Cancer for 3 years.

It didn't work..can someone tell me what to do please.
