BAD NEWS- Kroger caught onto us with loadables

Well, the fun is up!

Went to Kroger today at lunch and was getting one Betty Crocker pouch potatoes for $1. I had a loadable for .40 and a paper coupon for .40(IP).

This .40 IP was the only .40 coupon I had and when I looked at my receipt, I noticed it looks like this:

Scanned coupon .40
Bonus Coupon .20

SOOOOOO, I still got the potatoes for free after the loadable but ZERO overage. Just a heads up with a mega deal coming up. Looks like the programmers finally figured out how to keep us from getting overage when using loadables with paper coupons:sad:

ZM are you sure? I just went to Kroger 30 mins ago and got two Totinos used to .35 qs and then to my surprise I got a .55 shorcut q. I bought 2 totinos and a .50 candy and my total was -.05.

hmm, odd.
I do know I only had 1 .40 coupon and it was the BC printable. I used one before and it doubled .80, so I just assumed it was because of my loadable.
Now I don't know what to make of it all. Guess I need to find another overage item to test it on. hmmmm

That's odd, Cincinnati Krogers doesnt allow overage of any kind. You guys are lucky!

columbus is actually the lucky ones...they get .99 and under doubles unlimited, where as we only get .50 and under.

i don't know if it has to do with the loadables or not but , I had 3 like coupons and the last one or two wouldn't scan. I had 3 gg steamers and only 1 scanned. I had 3 edwards singles and only one scanned. the $4 febreze wouldn't scan either. but i'm guessing it's because of the loadable q. the febreze was 6.59 and I got $7 off. don't know what's going on... but the cashier was looking through my stuff.

I wonder if they have programmed the registers to be more senstive. I have noticed my cashiers are now having to cover the second barcode else the coupons don't scan.
Kroger is definitely getting weird when it comes to coupons.

I can't believe how diff. our krogers are! Our registers are SUPER sensitive. We fight that second barcode ALL THE TIME. it will come back and said "invaild coupon" and they try to argue that the coupon is fake :-/

Boy! your store gives couponers a lot of credit ... if "y'all" are so good you can print your own SS, RP, PG inserts, etc., why wouldn't ya just print money instead?:hysterical::hysterical:

The Krogers I've been going to have been covering one of the coupon UPCs to get them to "take" for several months. It was back before WAG stopped their old rebate program (have only been there 1-2 times since that stopped), because I remember WAG was the first place I noticed them doing it; then Kroger started.

Is a loadable the same thing as a IP?

No IP is internet printable. The loadables are the electronic coupons you load on your card.

I'm wondering the same thing. My P&G loadables and my Shortcuts haven't been coming off, and I even had trouble with Unilever a few weeks ago.
I bought 5 Pillsbury @ Kroger & used 3 IPs, 1 cellfire loaded to my card & 1 shortcut loaded to my card. To my knowledge the Unilever promo is over.

if you purchased the grands jrs that are .99, the loadables are not coming off for those.

Same thing happened to me. I did get the Grand Jrs. - the coupons says ANY Grands and it also says Grands on the receipt (no mention of Jr.) I wonder if Shortcuts will honor it if I dispute? :shrug7: I guess its worth a try - I just don't want them to tell me I've "exceeded my dispute limit" :rolleyes24:

surprisingly, i've had good luck lately w/my loadables. had a unilever come off last week i think it was.

I've done the current pillsbury offer 3 times so far and my loadables have come off appropriately.
