Effective October 4, weekly ads for all stores will be posted on Hy-Vee.com each Tuesday. For customers of a few Hy-Vee stores, this may mean a delay of a day or two between the time an ad goes into effect and the time the ad appears online. Customers can still obtain print ads at their local stores on the day the ad goes into effect. Thank you for your understanding as we work to bring you the best possible deals on the products you buy at Hy-Vee.
I am so bummed about this I had gotten use to looking on Sundays so I can plan my shopping trip. Well at least I will be able to see it a day before it starts here.:rolleyes24:

Anyone know why they did this? This really isn't fair to those that start earlier! We start on Monday-
This is really going to be a hassle:sad::confused58::mad37:

I know, I am so cheesed! I liked the Sun ads that way if I wanted to order qs for something really special I could order Sun and have em by Thurs since we have a Wed start. At least I get it a day early but dang why do that? Anyone with the Sun start ad want to start posting ad scans *gets on knees and begs*
I thought someone mentioned on here before that they wanted to make all HyVees like a Tues or Wed start, maybe they're moving toward that? I want to send an email complaining but I don't know what to say really.

Grrr County Market is doing this too! Just went to look at theirs and now they have changed to Tues online ads as well. Are they going to switch all these starts to Wed or do they just not want people having the previews?

Ok, my brain is probably slower than everyone elses, but this is totally unfair to those people whose ads start earlier than Tuesday. If there isn't any way to see the online specials, what is the point of the online specials if you don't know what they are until after 2 days past when they are available!!! For me, it was a convenience to see the ad earlier than what is my ad date, but totally ridiculous for those with Sunday and Monday ad date starts. I think that those with the earlier ad dates should really complain about not seeing the online specails since there are some things that are not in the print ad.

I emailed HyVee customer service about a few things.
First I asked them if it would be possible to have the catalina offers posted on their web site. I was told my question was forwarded to the marketing department, but she thought the offers varied by store? (does this sound right?) And said it would be difficult to do it for 226 stores.
****The other item I emailed about was the start date of the online ad. I asked if there was a reason. This is the reply I received:
"Hy-Vee recently made some changes in the procedures for posting store ads on Hy-Vee.com. If your local store ad goes into effect on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday each week, you will be able to see the ad online beginning at 12:01 a.m. each Tuesday. If your store's ad goes into effect on Wednesday, the ad will be visible online at 12:01 a.m. each Wednesday. You will still be able to obtain print copies of the ad in local newspapers or at your local Hy-Vee store on the day the ad goes into effect.
This may mean a delay of a day or two between the time an ad goes into effect and the time the ad appears online. We apologize for this delay, but needed to make the switch in order to eliminate problems associated with different ad dates in different markets.
Unfortunately, posting the online ads on Sunday or Monday for stores in a few markets has given our competition the chance to undercut our sale prices in all other markets, where ads don’t take effect until Tuesday or Wednesday. Since this created a competitive disadvantage for the majority of our stores, we made the decision to post all online ads on the same day of the week for all markets.
Thank you for your understanding as we work to bring you the best possible deals on the products you buy at Hy-Vee."
This does make sense, but still stinks for us! I liked the new feature of the coupon match ups, but if they are not posted til Tuesday, it is of no use to me:(

That makes more sense than any of my paranoid anti-couponer conspiracy theories. Here HyVee has no competition other than County Market and the evil empire (which doesn't run weekly sales anyway) but yet we start on Wed anyway. Maybe that's why we start on Wed because they can lol. This totally farks up me ordering qs for like a one-day sale since they usually do those Thurs. When I order qs on Sun it takes til Thurs to get here. So even ordering Tues I'm looking at Sat as the earliest arrival date
