Tonite at Walgreens I found Hallmark bags-various sizes & designs-the ones I got were originally $3.99, tissue -plain & printed originally $1.79 & bows & rolls of everyday wrapping paper (did not check original price) all $1.
The items had stickers w/ new barcodes & the words now only $1 on them.
The associate was placing them on a table in the middle of the Halloween aisle.

Congrats -- your store got the new Hallmark revision :) What happened is this: When the Hallmark TA (Territory Assistant) came in to work the new revision, everything that is more than $1 originally that did NOT go into the new setup was discounted to $1. The stores have the choice to either put everything on $1 clearance for 2 weeks minimum and then return everything that is left for credit, or to leave it on clearance for the $1 until it sells out. Hopefully your store will choose to leave it out! If you look, you will see that some of the bags have the same design as some of those in the new reset -- the only difference being size (the Mickey one is one example), or the addition / removal of something minor (rick-rack between the B-A-B-Y on one bag), or color (Gold vs Silver design, same size bag), etc. It really IS a great deal! Personally, I think that the 'old' clear Tweety bag was nicer than the 'new' one, even! The only things that the store can NOT put on clearance are, as mentioned before, anything that is $1 or less to start with, and 'Flex' (seasonal) items. Enjoy!! :)
