Weird eBay/Coupon Situation

I wasn't sure where this question would best fit, I hope its ok to post it here.

Monday morning I contacted an eBay seller to ask how much it would cost to buy 2 sets (with 5 in each) of inserts including shipping. She responded back and that was pretty much it. I don't recall ever clicking any button to buy them. I was planning on purchasing some but had decided to wait until I got paid today.

Well, today I noticed a envelop on the table. I was quite puzzled since i hadn't been expecting anything. Much to my surprise when I opened it, it was 11 P&G inserts. It also had a note that said I was her first eBay customer so she had included an extra set :BigHand:

However, I'm puzzled as to how she got my address if I didn't click the button to purchase them. :shrug7:

I've been really sick and out of it, but I really do not think I ordered them.

I did want them and was planning on buying some, so I"ll definitely send her the money for them but this whole thing has got me confused. lol.

If you didn't already send the money then it sounds like the seller is confused about how the process works. Maybe you could check your paypal history and make sure you didn't already send it and forgot about it because when you send payment it automatically sends them your address. If not then it's very weird that the seller got your address and I'm not sure how they could have.

i agree, i'd check your ebay history and paypal transactions

There would be no way for her to get your info like that from ebay.

I just checked my paypal. No transactions within the last 7 days.

I actually just did that and found out I did agree to purchase two sets of 5. I remember looking at them and then thinking I'd better wait til payday. I really don't remember hitting the purchase button. I've been really sick since Saturday with the flu, so it must have been when I was really out of it.

At least the mystery is solved. And I'm super excited I have 11 P&G inserts! I contacted the seller to arrange payment and let her know she should probably wait til payment is received before mailing the items out.

lol glad its solved! I know i have a few ebay people i buy from always send before payment... which is sometimes helpful because it takes it seems a week for anything to get here!
