I sent in my Tornodo (frozen mexican snacks) rebate July 17 to El Monterey company. I called today and they said it could take 12 weeks? Have you received yours? How long did it take?

I just received mine last week - I was beginning to wonder if it was ever going to come. I sent it in on 6/10/09 and received it 9/25/09. There was, however, $7 in coupons in it instead of $5.

I received my rebate a couple of weeks ago. I decided to get the coupons for their products and not get money back. I am not sure if there would be a diifference in the time period if you wanted a check instead of coupons, but you never know. I just checked my copy of my receipt and I wrote that I mailed it on July 7th, so it does take a while. Don't give up! It should arrive in the mail!

Many times, a less experienced company will take longer to process a rebate submission.
In 'experienced,' I am referring to how they handle rebate offers.
Some are not prepared for the onslaught of the number of submissions or the cash flow hit they will take in terms of sending out rebate checks.

I experienced this with a $50.00 rebate for a portable seven inch DVD player offered for sale at J. C. Penney.
Mustek is the brand name and it took for-e-ver for the $50.00 rebate check to arrive.
Mustek model MP72.
When contacted, they admitted that they were not ready / prepared for the onslaught of rebate requests for such a small size company.
They begged for patience.
It took more than six months of 'patience.'
As soon as I received that $50.00 rebate check in the mail I cashed the puppy because you never know.
