I hope that I am not wrong in posting this question. If I am I'm sorry I'm not trying to break any rules.
I know that some stores take coupons a few days - up to a week after they expire. I just received from a co-worker of my husband the 8/30 inserts :BigHand:I REALLY want to use the buy one foundation get a face product free coupon but it expires today. If I didn't live in the boonies I would try and go use it tonight but it would be midnight before I got there anyways. So can I still use it tomorrow?
Thanks,
Cyndi

i would suggest that you bring the coupon up to the counter and ask if it is ok to use it. point out that it *j*u*s*t expired, mere hours before, and that it will go in the same bag on sunday with the other coupons , as if it had been found and turned in one day before, and would that be ok? , pretty please? -- because you don't want to get anyone in trouble, but you are just learning to use coupons.
then stand and look earnest and hopeful.

Thanks Seedlady! I read your entire Seedlady's Wagon Train thread today. Very entertaining and educational!
I live in a major metropolitan area so hopefully by looking VERY earnest I can get someone to take it!

While it would go in that bag, when in scans , LP can tell that an expired coupon was taken. That VIPER ( I think is the Name ) system is so tight that it is amazing. Even on coupons that scan, if they are wrong, that system knows by the coding. I was stunned by what our LP had as info. If a store has the policy of not taking them, please don't ask us to take them because they go in the same bag. We get that several times a week and people get testy when we won't because it is "only" a few days.

I would ask. As managers change policies change. I have 2 out 6 stores that will take them within the same week and recently asked at a store where the manager changed and she said she would accept them within the same week. The previous manager would not have. She even said she (and only she) accepts coupons from anybody else. Grocery stores, Home Depot, Lowe's you name it. That's unheard of in this area.
Never hurts to ask. I just wouldn't ask over and over if I know they just don't take them. kwim.
