I came upon a thread like this for Food Lion and thought we might have some fun with it here. If its okay (mod?) please share your additions !
You know you're a hardcore couponer when.......
You never carry a purse anywhere, but you always bring your binder everywhere. ( where is the binder toting smilie?)

If you have kids.....
The first question out of your child's mouth is "Is there a coupon for that, Mommy"? :giggle2:
(like when they see a toy/game/book, etc. that they want).
My 5-year old is convinced that there must be a coupon for EVERYTHING! :-)
I also agree with the OP! I have a coupon bag that has everything important in it. I have small panic attacks if I leave the house w/o it! :hectic1:
This is fun! Thanks!

Returning with you from CVS your 16 year old granddaughter announces Gram only got paid 50 cents for shopping today.

when.....
you have the power to send your child into some sort of twitching fit upon being picked up from school and seeing the ''coupon box'' anywhere in the car.....
at least twice a week you have to spend the money you've saved on fast food for dinner because every flat surface in your house has some sort of coupon-y related items spread out for sorting, clipping, etc.....
you actually think about injuring your spouse because they are not impressed you saved half off the price of having 2 cars fully serviced just by donating items you had already stockpiled in the house......
you have an indepth discussion with the cat about eating the free treats and not holding out for the same kind I got last time for free....dear cat, they will not always be the same kind, you will survive, some cats don't even get treats.......

you've stopped shopping for things you "need" and instead you're only shopping for cheap/freebies.

You burst into tears and nearly have a panic attack when you realize you just left your binder in a Target shopping cart in the parking lot full of coupons and with over $30 of RRs in it. Your husband tries to calm you down as he drives you back to Target to retrieve it (I found it fully intact). Yet, you can watch your child ram his eye into the dinner table at the Cox picnic and not freak out about it (he is fine and has a black eye).

When you keep putting off buying something you are almost out of because it hasn't been on sale in a while. You know as soon as you give in and buy it full price, it will be on great sale the next week.

Or with your dog, who is tired of the dozens of free treats you stocked up on and wants something different. :hysterical:

You cry because you got nothing on your birthday. You knew money was tight..... but the LEAST they could have done was hunt you down a good tearpad.

Ps. I thought this might be a fun place to share about my 8yo. She is so stoked about coupons that she asked me if she could have her own binder. I said maybe.. someday. Welll the other day he showed up on the sofa with a 1/2" binder that she scrounged up in the school room. Inside was a single page protector ( the full page kind) that she also found -- inside was 1 $5 Build-a-Bear coupon that she had garnered a while back . LOL She is so proud of her binder.

Aww Tracy, that is cute about your dd's binder!! My ds is not impressed about my hobby. He's the anti-coupon, anti-shopping troublemaker around here! I would say take her to build a bear with her coupon but last time I was there (years ago) I was almost afraid to let my ds play with the stuffed animal because it was so expensive! Or, he might have picked the only gold plated one in the place!
Pyxiedust: good point on not shopping for anything we actually need...my dh did confront me recently about why we don't actually get the things on the list that is posted on the fridge. I really didn't have an answer for him:wink7:I might be testing him to see how long he can go without tape and drain cleaner, mmwwaahhhhh!
I have not had to have the treat talk with the dogs. My poor dumb mutts do not understand english! They would eat the bag/box the treats come in and be just as satisfied! The cat though, well....she takes a bit of negotiation.....haha I should just tell her to ad her list of demands to the fridge list....we'll see how far that gets her!!:whistle67:

:hysterical:OH! I should make myself clear! Duct tape!! Duct tape and drain cleaner are being overlooked on the ongoing list! In my defense, I clearly consider these ''boy items'' and I should not have to interupt my important shopping to get them!! I handle items that you can eat, wipe your tail with, take if you are sick and dying and all items to feed the furry ones!
My proposal for the boy's of the house to get with the program and actually help me shop has fell on deaf ears....sigh......therefore my only recourse is to not worry about their list!!!
I might be a bit too eager to dish out the revenge around here!:whistle67:
However, I am more than willing to take a Walgreen's bag full of good stuff! Please be sure to include that dang elusive mentos gum!!!:giggle2:

We didn't really have the room, but I toted my binder all the way to Gulf Shores for a week this summer. I wasn't even thinking of bringing home souvenirs-only deals I came across down south.

Maybe that's another sign of a hard core couponer... when your husband has to fight to get something for which there is not a coupon and a corresponding sale! lol
Your daughter is so cute Fussypants!! She needs some frosty coupons from Wendy's for her binder.

When you're more excited about a trip to Florida for the overabundance of CVSs and Targets (in an area where NOBODY coupons) than the beach!

When you go down an isle with a blinkie in it and your boys scream "A COUPON GIVER" and you know the whole store heard.

It was awesome!! My in-laws live in southwest Fl so we go down there at least every summer. This summer I had so much fun! We were there for two weeks so I loved getting all the freebies without having to get all rainchecks! It was seriously the highlight of the trip!

Thanks for the laughs ... and, it's terrible when you're laughing at people doing the same things you do ... and it seems perfectly logical when YOU do it!
PS... don't try to tell the cat/dog about "all those poor starvings cats/dogs in ____ that don't get treats" ... tried that with my cat-daughter, she turned and flipped her tail as if to say, "Well ... just pack THAT stuff up and send it to 'em, because I don't like it! I can wait for the stuff I like, 'cuz I ain't starvin'!"
Although I'm not part of Dillons, here's one I've been doing lately: buying massive amounts of BOGO sale gum with BOGO Qs ... and I can't even chew gum, but DH takes to work for him to give away to the guys! (One guy had the nerve to say he didn't like that brand :hysterical: ... DH told him he'd just have to wait until there was a GOOD sale with GOOD coupons if I bought it ... otherwise, buy your own!)
And, since I started back couponing abotu a year ago, I know more about my family's shopping habits than I really needed to!
