Looking for cheap Flea meds? I love www.joespetmeds.com (http://www.joespetmeds.com) they come from australia so shipping is a little slow, but they are like half the price! Free shipping on orders over a certain amount or flat rate shipping. they also have generic brands. I bought the generic heartworm. Hope this helps someone!

I have a black lab/mastiff that is fighting fleas. We have gone the Dawn bath route, and due to finances bumbling along with otc things hoping and praying something would work. Nada. It is funny because we also have a lab/pit/boxer mix (with short silky hair) and he doesnt seem to be bothered--but I was wondering if you could give me some information on the kits you put together. I would appreciate any help or pricing you could send my way. My email is enfuegogrl@neo.rr.com

Thanks so much!

Have you tried giving him garlic. My Mom heats up some chicken broth with garlic in it, and then puts it on thier food. Flees do not like garlic. Same thing works with people.

Hope that helps, Melissa.

Thanks for the tip on the pet meds.. we need to get revolution soon for our kitty and the vet wanted $100.. phew!! And we just adopted a puppy.. her stuff was about $100 bucks for 6 months heartworm/topical. But I believe in getting the best for them.. but goodness, so expensive! I will def' order from this place in the future. Have you have any problems when ordering? How long does the shipment take? Thanks again :)

I've also ordered from joespetmeds and was very pleased. It was a few months ago but I remember it did not take long at all to arrive. They send it airmail so I think a little over a week was all. And the other plus is the expirations dates were way out there so you can order in advance and stock up without worry.

Do they require an rx? My vet refused to give an rx to anything that doesn't come from the US... I have been ordering pets meds from totalpetsupply.com, but they changed their policy and now require an rx.. My vet said bc the company is based in Canada, her license would be revoked if she gave me an rx to order from them.

I try to order online to save a few bucks. A friend turned me on to kvsupply.com. They have free shipping on most items and their prices are always lower than local B&M. They have really great, knowledgeable customer service and quick shipping, too!

That Australian company is not legitimate. Call the manufacturer of the products you are using.

A client of ours got very irate because she's been buying from that company. Her dog got heartworm disease and is now in great pain and very nauseated due to the required treatment.

The reason those companies are so cheap is because they are not regulated by our government to ensure a SAFE, QUALITY product. For all you know, you are feeding your dog sugar wafers every month.

Many vets will refuse to deal with these companies directly because they are not legitimate and can cause harm to your pet if the medication is not correct. Vets do not want to be responsible for the owners' mistakes.

In addition to that, if you buy the medications through a reputable source, then if an issue DOES occur, the manufacturer is likely to cover all treatment costs assiciated with the product, thus saving you money.

Does anyone know if petcareRX is a legitimate site? I can't seem to find on their website if the stuff is made in the U.S. or someplace else?

It is not legit. Call the manufacturer of the products you want to use to find a reputable distributor.

I have used this site for over a year and with no problems, the product packages are the same except for the weight is in kg.

Vidals Pets (http://www.vidalspets.com)

If you google " vidalsets coupons " you can save even more, usually enough to cover the shipping charge. Thanks for all the other sites mentioned here as I always price check before ordering.
