i was told that the $10/10 would ring at 1/1 meaning they do break it down. On bogo they said it would ring at half price whether you buy 2 or not. I don't know if this is true. The cashier who said it is questionable.

I'm fairly disappointed. I'm newer than most to couponing and I was just really starting to get my ducks in a row. I'd been holding off on quite a bit of stuff till SD. I guess the moral of the story here is not to believe anything but the ad itself.

HT is kind of shooting themselves in the foot if this was really some kind of manipulation--their prices are so much higher than my other retailers that special coupon weeks are the main thing that actually gets me into their stores. I mean, when one little box of dishwasher tabs is seven bucks, something is wrong.

I agree the prices at HT are too high. The only time I shop there is when I find a good deal with coupons. I usually hit Walmart for detergents. Even if you only find a couple of deals a week it'll start adding up. Eventually you'll look at your pantry and say, "WOW!" :BigHand: If you find you have q''s (coupons) that are about to expire (of things you need/use) - try using them at Walmart or somewhere you shopped before using them- you'll still save.

Have a great day! Happy Shopping!!

Laura-Jean, I'd love to take more advantage of SuperWallyWorld, but it's a 20 minute drive against business traffic to get to the nearest one for me. I realize some people drive way farther than that for deals, but I really hate driving. Unfortunately that limits me to (dingy depressing) Kroger, (overpriced) HT, and Target Superstore (which actually isn't bad but the prices there are steadily going up lately).

I think this post is in line with the forum rules. I will try and speak in code language! The pharmacy that starts with a "C" and ends with a "S" and has a "V" in the middle has a great deal on Tide. Check out the forum. I actually got 4 free this week b/c I had a rain check for a diabetes monitor which gave me back some 10 ECBs to put toward the Tide, but you can still get a great deal on it. Make sure you look for the $5/$25 coupon!

I love HT and shop there frequently- I just stick to items that are really great deals with VIC specials and coupons. This week, you can get Chunky Soup for free with .75/1 peelies that are out there (I found these at Kroger a few weeks back). If you hurry and get there today, you can also get boxes of Orville Redenbacher microwave popcorn for .67 each with .40/1 insert q that expires today.

EDIT: Another E-Vic special...$2 off 32 oz College Inn broth. If you can get the $1/1 insert q that was out this past week, it will make for 19 cent broth! I've traded for one and will use to make my spicy butternut squash soup!

My store had the Organic beef broth on sale for $1.94, so -$.06 after discount. I just grabbed a small bag of UTZ chips and paid $.27 for both. :)

I'M HAVING A TERRIBLE TIME ORGANIZING MY COUPONS. i HAVE THEM IN A BINDER WITH POCKETS BUT ANYTIME I NEED ONE I HAVE TO GO THROUGH A STACK. IS IT BETTER TO ALPHABETIZE THEM OR TO CATEGORIZE THEM??? I ALWAYS CARRY MY BINDER WITH ME BUT FINDING WHAT I NEED IS TEDIOUS. I'VE READ ALL THE THREADS BUT NOTHING THAT TELLS ME WHICH IS BETTER. PLEASE HELP...I'M VERY OVERWHELMED AND DESPERATELY NEED SOME FEEDBACK. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

I have mine in categories - baking, drinks, dairy, etc. It is really a personal choice on how you like to organize.

There is a $1 q on this website (http://lfechallenge.foodlion.com/Recipies-main.aspx?utm_source=SC&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=email+9.30.09), it's a manufacturer coupon. Buy 2 cans of Chunky soup, 1 on eVIC 88¢ and 1 @ $1.50. = $1.38 for two

I did surprisingly well yesterday. I had a $3 CAT to use from the earlier GG deal and thought the $7.99 chicken meal would be a great way to use it. I also got more Lysol toilet cleaner, Starkist tuna salad, Fruit 2O water, and Yokisoba noodles for free after coupons, and used my Q's from Sunday's paper for free cat treats. Original total was about $53 and I paid $9.23 OOP. Hadn't had their fried chicken before but it is very good.

I had a good little "quickie" run tonight before coming home:

3 travel size tides (free AC)
3 Purell 8 oz. size (free AC)
2 clorox bleach (.49 each AC)

Total OOP: $1.44

The purell had a tag on it for .94 (reg. price 3.19) good thru March 2010 and of course it rang up full price at the register so it was adjusted to .94 and with my .50 coupons it was free. Of course the manager wasn't smart enough to pull the shelf tag, so I guess I can stop in the morning and snag some more purell! :BigHand:
