couple good deals -
Love the zesta/cheez-it one - I still have 2 .75/1 q's left so, 3 boxes for free ($6 - $3 - $3 = $0) which is great cause my nephew eats them faster than I can buy them LOL. I'll be stocking up on the zesta too - love them mushed into my soup.
The cat deal will be dead for the green giant veggies (ends 9/30) but, .50 a box is great (.50/2 q's we got a couple weeks ago)

It would make my week if GE ran the cat deal on the Muir Glen tomatoes like they did last October. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that this shows up on the new "Save More at the Checkout" list on Thursday.
I was able to stockpile enough cans last year to last until now. My stockpile is almost gone.

:hysterical: why not? That's always my excuse too.
There's also a $1.50/2 q for the cheez-its coming out in the RP for 10/4, which would make the cheez-it's .50 a box for those that can't find the peelies.
I'm thinking of stocking up on the cookies and dropping them off at the food bank - we're not big cookie eaters here and I hate to pass up such a great deal LOL. I'm wondering if I could do 2 fudge shop cookie deals and 2 cheez-it deals at a time (total of 4 deals) and have the $3 come off each time. That would make it easier for me to accumulate a bunch. I'd throw in 2 boxes of GG veggies so that my total wouldn't hit $0

Question: on the Birds Eye 50 cent coupon it says "Birds Eye or Steamfresh any variety". It pictures a mixed blend - like a broccoli / cauliflower. Does "variety" mean it has to be on a mixed blend or are single bags (all peas, etc) OK?
The word "Variety" coupled with the picture is what's messing me up.
And thanks Sandy for the week's ad and Jen for the detailed match-ups.

Always go with the wording - never the picture. Variety just means you can pick your flavor ie. corn, broccoli, mixed veggies, and so on. HTH!
Your Welcome! You just reminded me though that I need to finish the match up!! (I'm slacking here!!)

wow - what a difference a day makes!! No $2/2 q's left at the Market District store in bethel. Hopefully, they'll refill tomorrow or Thursday.
There's apparently a sale going on now and people grabbed them up. Little do they know that next week's sale is better.

09-30-2009, 04:59:49 AM
FYI - by the baby section at the market district store in Bethel, they had big boxes of Raisin Bran, frosted mini-wheats and frosted flakes. They are 2/$7. The boxes have tokens (?) inside and if you enter 3 of the codes found on the tokens, they send you a $10 rebate or gc (can't remember the exact wording). So, if you buy 3, use 3 $1/1 peelies or q's (I still have a few left) and a $2 off gallon of milk peelie, you'd pay $7.50 for the cereal and get $10 back.

Wording trumps picture.
+
The reason being is many times not all products can be represented in the picture or on the coupon.
A very good example are vitamin coupons ... there are a metric ton of different vitamins that are valid for the coupon because of the word 'any.'
+
Also ...
The dictionary's definition of the word: any
"Without restrictions."
So ... whenever the cashier dishes out attitude about you not having the correct item AND the coupon includes the magic word ANY, enlighten them to the definition of the word 'any.'
+
It seems that cashiers will always refer to the picture, ignoring the wording found right next to it.

I always find this amusing. Seriously, isn't it a part of their job to be able to read a coupon and/or interpret it? After all, they are the ones responsible for the sale of the product(s) and are handling $$$. If they can't read a coupon, how do I know they can handle $$$???!!

Ok I have a question.........
I have 3 of the 5.00 similac checks. I was looking at the ad and noticed the powdered similac was part of the baby sale. Can you use more than one check on formula as long as it costs more than the checks? I didn't see anywhere that stated one per transaction and I know they just run them as checks as if I wrote it from my checkbook. So..can you do that?
Thanks!

Thanks!
The formula checks I had 6 mos ago stated that the they were eligible for one product and the check would only cover the price of the product. So if I was buying one can of Similac or Enfamil for $22, I could use one formula check + 1 MQ. If I was buying one of the little cans of RTF or concentrated formula that was less than $5, the formula check would only be eligible to cover the price- no overage.
I did successfully buy four quarts of RTF formula and use 4 $5 checks + 4 $2 MQs. The cashier wasn't happy and made sure I knew that she thought I was ripping off GE and the manufacturers, but they were still accepted. HTH

Does anyone know if you can do more than one Cheez It deal in one transaction (the instant $3 savings)? I'm trying to maximize some coupons I have but in order to use them I'd have to do two batches of 3 Cheez Its on one receipt. I know in the past the cereal deals have worked that it's ok to do more than one in a transaction but I'm trying to avoid a trip to customer service if possible! Thanks in advance!

I'm going to be going out here in a few minutes - plan to hit Kmart first then GE - but will report back asap. The ad doesn't say there's a limit on the instant discount so I'm thinking we should be good. Will let you know.

If honey nut is included, there are .55/1s on smartsource.com making it .90 / box.

I did one can of similac and one pack of pull ups and got the 6.00 cat. I asked the girl before I went up there b/c they said good "toward" any similac formula. She said that I could use all 4 of them. (I actually had 20.00 worth). So the formula was 21.49 and the pull ups 8.99 total was 30.48-20.00 formula checks and 3.00 pull ups coupon= 7.48 and got the 6.00 cat.
I wanted to do the cheezits but the display was gone with all the cheezit's that had the 2.00/2 coupons on them and I could not find them :(

In the SnS ad there is a mq for 5 free Powerade wyb 10, and GE has them on sale buy 10/10$ get 5 free. Could I get 15, use the mq, and get 15 for 5$? (15$ - 5$ GE sale - 5$ mq = 5$)
I found a 75c IP for Cheez-Its Whole Grain in my coupon binder....wish I had more! I have no idea where I got it from though....
Did you guys see the price of bread? 33 cents?! That's awesome! LOL
Other than the cheap cheezits/cookies, and the baby deal - are there any freebies or stock-up items? I"m no seeing anything, but I want to make sure I'm not missing something....I'm feeling very behind on things, between half my coupon binder being expired *sniff, Kmart doubles (and all the Kmarts being such a far drive), and bottle-feeding a kitten - I'm kinda in a panic! lol

Just got back - NO FREE CHEEZ-ITS. The size on sale is 9-10oz, but the peelies are for the 11.5 or larger  BUT you can still use the Q in this week's RedPlum for cheap Cheez-its. It is $1.50/2 7.5oz or larger. If you have 3 Qs, buy 6 boxes and pay $1.50/6.
Keebler cookies are still free though
I think the GE Catalina site might be updated - I saw tags for Ziploc- buy any 3 get $2OYNO. Who was just asking about that???

I think that cheezit ip was from coupons.com. I had some but used them a while back. I didn't peel any of those 2.00/2 coupons when I seen them and now I wish I would have.
I think it was posted about cheap grands biscuits and free/cheap powerade with the .75/2 coupons. The nesquik singles are on sale again 10/10 if you are lucky to get your hands on some of the coupons. That makes them .20 each. I have been on the hunt for them for some time.
I am very behind on sales and such as well. I have had so much going on I really havn't had time to deal with my coupons or anything. Everytime I think I will be able to do it, I am always too tired to even think straight. I think I have been more tired now then in the beg. of the pregnancy. My 2 year old has also hit his "terrible two's" stage in the past few weeks and my goodness does he keep me busy. I swear it was like someone turned on a light switch. Maybe today I can work on sorting/organizing coupons. maybe...

So if I got 8 pillsbury for 9.00 after 1.00 instant savings. Then used 8 .35/1 coupons which would bring it to 3.40 then I would get 2.00 onyo so 1.40/8 so about .18 each
Or
Buy 4- at 5.00 - 2.80(coupons)= 2.20 and get 2.00 so 4/.20 so .5 each hmmm so it's better to just do 4.. might have to pick up some q's!!

Tried to rep you but I can't.As for the cereal, cinn toast crunch and reg cheerios are 5/$10 on my ad (back page middle - on the extra wrapper). I went a little bit ago and got the cinn toast crunch for .90 a box using the .55.1 smartsource Q. However, the honey nut cheerios were on the same display and rang up 2.50. I didn't look close enough to the signs I guess. The guy was going to run back and double check but we are having grocer's fight cancer day and they were busy so I told him just to take them off of my order. Now I see them in the ad, you're right Sandmike, they are 4/$10. **Anybody getting the cat for the Grands to work? I bought 8 of them and did not get a cat. If it is working, what did you buy? Here is what I came up with if the cat info is correct:
10/05-10/07
Pillsbury Grands 8/$10 -$1 = 8/$9 coupons $.50/2
$1.12-.50=$.62 *8=$4.96-$4 OYNO=$.96/8 or $.12/1
$1.25-$.50=$.75*6=$4.50-$4 OYNO=$.50/6 or $.083/1
If only $2 OYNO of 4< is correct:
$1.25-$.50=$.75*4=$3-$2OYNO=$1/4 or $.25each

Do you mean they pulled all of the larger boxes off the shelves? Last night McMurray still had large boxes but they are not on sale. The smaller boxes are the ones on sale this week. Another "shrinking package"? Instead of manufacturers raising prices, they just shrink the packages. I don't ever remember seeing small boxes of Cheez-Its until this current sale.

I went last night, because I wanted to make pizza for dinner at the last minute. I bought 4 of the Pillsbury pizza crusts and got the $2 OYNO. It says it's a MFC, so unless they are also doing a store one too, I'd say it's not a double dip. Of course I could be wrong, but the fruit snacks last time weren't a double dip like we thought they may be...
We'll see on Monday when I cruise up there to get some more Grands!
You are getting the $2 OYNO with the pizza crust but are they on sale too or is it just the Grands? How much did they end up costing?

Just looked at my .75/2 Powerade coupons and it says the coupon is good for Powerade Ion4. Is this coupon good for the Powerade ZERO too???

[quote=Jewels;2053442]I bought a total of 18 products in one order, 3.00 taken off per 6 items.
shouldnt it have been 3.00 taken off per 3 items?
Yep:smile:

Also checked on that this morning :)
As far as I could see, there WERE Birds Eye veggies for $1, but NOT any of the steamfresh variety (as there were last week). I could only find the standard variety (peas) for $1 this week. I was kind of bummed out, too...
Do the regular ones still produce the black/gold bucks??

They do but, hold off on buying them - they should be on sale again in 2 weeks (according to the frozen food manager at my store). I also started a separate thread about them changing the price this week. I figure if we all complain, maybe we won't have to worry about them changing prices on us like this.

Did anyone else have problems using their Powerade .75/2 coupons? I just got back from my GE and it was a HUGE ordeal to use these coupons. I bought the Powerade Ion4 and the coupons do not scan. They need to be maually entered and then do not double. I had to have customer service do the adjustments and it turned into a complicated mess. I don't understand why... But, I did get my 15 Powerade Ion4 for a total of .68. But, I won't go back for more. ON TOP OF being there for about 1/2 hour, one of the customer service reps listening in on what was going on snottily said "she'll be back in an hour to get another 100 more"...I was getting only 15 to begin with (using only 7 coupons) and doing nothing illegal. I was speechless! I really think people using coupons are treated very poorly sometimes.

**ouch** what a rude person! Sorry you had to go thru that. I only did the deal once the last time the sale was on. My q's scanned - just didn't double to $1.50, only $1.00 so, they manually doubled them for me. Mine are .75/2 either 2 powerade, 2 vitamin water or 1 of each.

I have no idea - didn't think to ask - was just excited that they'd be on sale starting Thursday and my q's arrived today LOL. I would assume that it would be the same ones that were supposed to be on sale this week (at least that's what I'm hoping)

I didn't see Birdseye Veggies on the coupon preview for the next sale...hope they are on sale!

My powerade coupons did not scan properly either. Lucky for me I had an understanding cashier that helped push them through. Sorry to hear you were treated so badly. =(

I did a search but did not see this anywhere. If you buy 4 qualifying Betty Crocker baking products you get a free Wilton med. cookie sheet (reg. $7.99). There was a tiny sign at the McMurray GE above the cake mixes. It did not ring automatically so I had to point it out to the cashier to correct.
The cake mixes are on sale for $1, Bisquick worked, cookie mixes are on sale. There are IP Q's out there.

Is anyone else doing the Snow White Blu-ray deal this week w/ the IP? When I printed the coupon from the site in the GE ad, the fine print reads "Good in Canada only"!!! I'm hoping I won't be hassled.....

Anybody try the Grands and see if it was a double dip? I missed going today with a guy coming out to fix our patio door again (that and the number of hours at work was making me really cynical and grumpy). Since I had a chance to read here after I posted, it would make sense to be a double dip, I was just feeling too evil to consider it before.
I am going tomorrow, big one will go to the Nest and the little one will hopefully behave! If no one else reports in, I will either way. We need some more Grands to try and make the kids donuts...
Oh, and I paid full price for the pizza crusts minus coupons, it was cheaper than the husband ordering pizza! I bought 4 at $2.50 each (before Q's). Way cheaper than the $20+ we would have spent!

I saw this too at Chippewa, but didn't have my coupons with me. So I went to Alliance, OH when I got to work and thought I would try to get everything I have seen signs for, so this is what I found out.
I bought 3 BC frostings, and 2 Bisquick boxes, and 1 dozen eggs.
Found out the free eggs when you buy 3 frostings or cake mixes is a cat that prints after the transaction, so don't take eggs with you like last time(and like I did).
2 bisquicks gets you a $1 OYNP cat
And like mentioned above, 4 products get you a free medium size Wilton cookie sheet or medium cake pan. My pan did come off automatically when I hit total on SCO, but the price on mine was 5.49. I believe the sign said 10-1 thru 12-30.
But overall great deal AC, 3 frostings, 2 boxes of bisquick, a cat for a dozen free eggs, a cat for $1 OYNP and a cookie sheet for 3.10 !!!:wink7:
Of course all printables say DND so YMMV, but there were other products included for the pans like (dont quote me, my memory is old!) Gold metal flour, warm delights, muffin mixes and brownie mixes, I think!

I bought 5 regular ones last week and didn't get any black/gold bucks.

Depending on what you buy, this could be a cute and inexpensive holiday gift set! The cake mix, a frosting, the cake pan, and add a mixing bowl and wooden spoon or rubber spatula then wrap in cellophane (sp?) and bingo!

I bought 6 Pillsbury Grands biscuits last night and only got the $4 cat, so no double dip. I did well this week though: 6 Grands, 4 Green Giant veggies (with $1 peelies for the grands biscuits) 2 keebler cookies, 2 cheezits, 2 Zesta saltines, 2 Bush's Beans, 1 gallon milk; used a couple of cats for a total of .......$.56! My two receipts are displayed on my "shopping wall of fame (e.g., the refrigerator door)!

Hope you figured this out - but when you are redirected to the Snow White site, there is a button for US right next to Canada....maybe you clicked on the wrong one??
I did do this deal - 19.99 - 10$ IP and got the 6$ off any Home Depot, Best Buy, Bed Bath and Beyond or Subway gift card cat.
ETA:.....my 3 yr old DD has now watch Snow White about 4 times a day for the past 3 days...LOL And I never realized how PC kids movies/shows have become, until I had to explain that why Snow White was running away from the Huntsman who was ordered to kill her by the mean Queen....and then explain what happened to the mean Queen when she fell off the cliff and got smooshed by the big rock LOL And then I had to explain what a coffin was! Boy, we were exposed to scary stuff when we were little!
