Alpo Chop House Dog Food by Purina
Twin Packs for $0.25
Quad Cities, Iowa
Found on clearance end cap

I stumbled upon these today while shopping. I did not have a coupon to sweeten the deal, but I did use the $5 ECB that I got from the Cover Girl to buy all 22 they had on the shelf. I got 48 cans in total (22 twins) for just $0.50!

Package says 2 for 1 trial pack and the flavors are T-Bone Steak and Rotisserie Chicken. The photo looks like meat in gravy. I'm thinking my kitty could eat some puppy food if we run low in between deals...

Awsome deal! ... Wonder if my store has these? If so, I'm thinking my kitties will be eating some of these too.

I know this may come off as a really stupid question..so I am sorry if it does but is it alright to feed these to a cat?I was wanting to know because I have a cat and would be a awesome deal to get some for him but wanted to make sure

Thanks!
Cheryl

I checked 3 CVS in and around Houston yesterday, these are 1.19 and do not have any sale sign or clearance sign. So, a no go here.

I'm not sure if you are really supposed to or not. Think dog food is more made for what a dog needs in his diet. Here where we live there's dumpsters everywhere, so even well fed cats still eat out of them on occasion. We have several dumpster kitties that now call here home. I just figured if I can get a deal on some "back up" food in case we run out and can't get anything for several days. Money's tight here and sometimes you just have to get what you can get. Our cats are pretty lucky and usually don't go hungry for more than an afternoon. Not to mention the pretty steady supply of fresh meat (read birds, mice, snakes, lizards, grasshoppers, ect.). I just figured something would be better than nothing. Wow, that ended up a bit long.

They didn't have many on the shelf, but they scanned at $1.19 today.
