Be careful when using the Gerenal Mills coupons together in one order. I went this morning to purchase Chex Mix, Cheerios Snack Mix, BC Frosting, Warm Delights, and Fruit Roll Ups.
I used 1 Chex Mix coupon, 2 Cheerios Snack Mix coupons, 2 Bc Frosting coupons, 2 Warm Delight coupons, and 1 Fruit Roll Up coupon. When the coupons were scanned it only doubled the first two coupons and all others were not doubled. When I looked at the reciept all the coupons came up as the same coupon. all the coupons on the reciept have the same code of 81101001600007 Vendor Coupon.
When I talked to the service desk they told me that it was because the coupons were from the same company so that only two coupons from the same company would double. I was also told that I was not allowed to use coupons to get items for free or cheap at Meijer's any longer that the registers would not allow it.
I ended up returning the whole order. I'm not sure what I should have done. The managers were no help. Anyone have any Ideas.
I'm begining to really hate Meijer.

Hmm, I would think that as long as you don't use more than two coupons with the same barcode, you should be fine. And I doubt the register is programmed to decide if you are getting something too "cheap" either. All that is BS. I'd call corporate and ask for a copy of the coupon policy.

I have no problem getting more than two coupons from the same company to double as long as they have different barcode numbers. Chex Mix and Cheerios Snack Mix have had the same numbers for as long as I’ve been paying attention to the numbers. To us they are two different coupons but to the register, you used three of the same.
If you’re saying that none of your other coupons doubled like your Warm Delights or Fruit Rollups, I don’t know. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve used GM coupons of doubling value so I haven’t had that problem yet. Maybe all of those coupons have the same barcode now; I’ll have to check that before I go to the store.
However, their coupon policy states that only the first two like coupons will double and those coupons are not alike. So according to the policy you should get doubles even if it means being done manually, I would think that there is grounds to push the issue if you want. If the new policy is that they only double two coupons from the same company or they don’t allow items to be free after coupons then they need to change what it says in their ads.

I have never had trouble using more the 2 coupons from the same company either. I just checked all my coupons and they all have different barcode numbers on them, but when they appeared on the reciept they had the same barcode. Very weird.
They only thing that the managaer at store level kept telling me when, I just called him, was that the register changed the coupon bar codes so that the coupons wouldn't double because Meijer can't give products away for cheap. Something about the Meijer computers had an update to not allow items to be purchased at free. I think it is a bunch of BS.
I think I definately need to call corporate and find out what is going on.

I just checked my receipt and the same thing happened to me as well. I didn't notice at the store, I guess I'll be doing a lot of little transactions at meijer this week:(

I wrote a letter on their website. They forwarded it to the store. I've done it before and only got an apology letter, not a plan for resolution and a giftcard. I guess it's better than nothing, but it seems to be getting worse there. I told them that I lost $2.50 on an order that was only $22.00 so over 10% is crazy. Hopefully they'll figure it out and fix it.

you have to hide the long weird new barcode that is on most coupons. If you hide that barcode it should work better. I had that problem with the barilla pasta coupons for the piccolini and whole grain ones but once the cashier hide that weird barcode they all doubled properly.
It's worth trying at least to get some resolution.
HTH someone!

I read on a blog that the Chex mix and Cheerios mix coupons have the exact same barcode on them. I'm sure that would cause only 2 to double since the computer doesn't know the difference.

Anyone know when this supposed change happened? I got a lot of free/cheap stuff just a few days ago at mine. I guess I will be using the u-scan and making sure that they are doubled. Sometimes the cashiers go to fast to make sure things double. I will be sure I double check everything before I leave. Thanks for letting us know.

Late Saturday night into Sunday morning my friend & I were at the Lafayette, IN store. We were getting the Fruit Snack deal while the cat was still printing. We were using the $.50/2 Q's along w/the MBQ. About the 8th or so transaction (and right around midnight), the first 2 $.50/2 Q's doubled, the other $.50/2 was taken as $.25 & doubled ????? My LOVELY guy cashier manually put in a $.50 Q that doubled to account for it, but we could NOT figure out why is took my coupon at half it's value!?!?
