Nobody's Kmart ad shows doubles. The only mention is in the P&G ad.

This is really kinda greedy to say but I am so glad its not in the paper, maybe some stuff will be in stock today, I cant get there till this afternoon and usually the good stuff is long gone. I wouldn't count on the shelves not being cleared.........Usually the hardcore couponers seem to always know what is up. :wink7:

Me: "A friend told me you all were doubling coupons this week. Is that true?"
CS person who answered the phone: "Well, it doesn't say it in the ad. Usually it says it in the ad."
Me: "That is why I called."
CS: "The ad doesn't show anything."

Me: "I know, I looked at the ad and didn't see anything but thought perhaps it was an unadvertised deal."
CS: "Well, it doesn't say it in the ad, so the only way to find out is to see what happens at checkout." AAARRRRGGGG!!!!

Well, you get the idea, it went generally that way but didn't want to bore you all with the extended version. I wasn't quick with replies hoping that she would say "let me go ask a cashier how they have been going through this morning." but no such luck. She stuck to her line very well.

I felt really weird being the ONLY couponer in Kmart this morning. But I loved it! Too bad this doesn't seem to be a good week for me. I certainly didn't use the full amount of coupons that my store allows.


FYI: My ad states nothing about doubles. The woman who rang me up asked ME if THEY were doing doubles today. I told her yes, didn't they tell you? She said they are not informed of doubles, that they have to read it in the ad. She said she wasn't all the way through the ad yet. I told her it isn't in there anyway. :giggle2: I did mention that it was in the P&G insert. She said they are NEVER notified. That would explain why no one knows anything.

All coupons $2 and under will double up to full amt. If you have a BOGO free Q and the cost of the item is $1.50 the Q will double to $3 and you will get (2) items for free.

added: make sure you bring (2) items to purchase, the coupon doubles and covers the cost of both.

I am not fully awake and glad to hear K is doubling! I need to get my q's ready!

i then called corporate because i had seen my store listed earlier this week on here. corporate couldn't tell me anything.

so i got in my car with all my coupons and went to my kmart. grabbed some stuff that was on sale (dawn dish soap, 409, temptations cat treats)

went to the customer service desk (the only one open at the time) to check out and prepared to pay whatever it would cost if my coupons didn't double.

she scans the first coupon, we both watch it double. she gasps in surprise. and i excitedly say "i guess you guys are doubling this week!" and she says "i didn't know that and my manager doesn't know this"

The Special K is a fantastic deal!! They are on sale 4/10 and when you purchase 5 they instantly take $5. off. I used a $1. printable and it doubled. After buying 5, I paid $2.67 inc. tax. The only bummer is I didn't pay any attention until after I got home that they didn't take the instant $5. off so now I need to go back. So this is a potential MM. If I'm reading the ad correctly.
Too bad you can only do 5 in a transaction or you could use it for the rebate

katie....say you have a Dawn coupon for 75c...and Dawn is on sale, let's pretend that's its $1.50. That 75c coupon doubles so it takes off $1.50 so you get the item free. I am using this as an example....if you read the different topics under Kmart on this forum it will tell you what will be cheap or free. It was really good in the beginning when they would double 75 coupons at a time...now it is only 10 coupons per day per person. You can only use 4 of the same coupons, so if you were buying Dawn and had 5 coupons..you should only buy 4, use 4 coupons because the fifth one wouldn't double. Hope that helps you.

I've been to all my local Kmarts and all coupons are doubling. I called them all this morning and one did say P&G only but when I got there I asked and they said all. Woohoo!

I haven't shoped at a Kmart in a long time (talking over a decade) but think I will risk it this week. Not even sure what kind of Kmart it is, but the ad shows coffee and chips so I assume they at least have some food there. Thanks for the heads-up on the IL stores. I plan to go by the Decatur one this week, but not sure if it will be Monday or Wednesday.

Note to all who "call" their kmart - while at one kmart this AM my friend called another local kmart to see if they too were doubling. They said no. We mentioned it in front of the manager at the current kmart and they looked confused, pulled out a list and said "yes they are" She proceeded to CALL the other store to tell them they ARE doubling.

So even if you CALL - they may just not KNOW they are supposed to be doubling lol

I've never seen anything mentioned about doubles in the SS. I've heard it's been in there before but it never appears here and I get 3 different papers. Does somebody have a pic of it? I was just wondering what it looked like. My Kmart always doubles.

The thing is corporate did not make it clear! Now supposedly Kmarts have been sent emails saying all coupons are to be doubled. A lot of Kmarts have signs posted on the doors with the usual rules of 10 coupons per person per day after $25 purchase.

Some say that the p and g only doubling is regional. At the store i went to, there were the normal signs at the entrance and all the registers with the normal "double manufacture coupons up to 2$..." wordage. So if some stores are limiting the doubling only to p &G, but most others are not, then that is why the mods are allowing discussion. I never called corporate and am only going off of the information i got when i called my nearby store and the signs at the stores which says any manufacturers coupons and not just p and g coupons

How did they make it clear? My email dated as of Saturday morning at 7:31 said all coupons and made no mention of P&G only. Even the P&G page in the Smart Source does NOT state P&G only.

I only know what I'm told by the manager of my store.
The way she says it went down is: first it was no doubles, then it was only P&G, then they got a memo from Corp that it was all coupons upto $2 and a 10 coupon limit. :shrug7:

kmart has not actually posted limits or details of the double deals. some got an email that said the normal 10 limit, some got 25 limit, some got p&g only and then others got emails with a combination of all of them....i got two different emails that said all coupons and then the p&g

BUT, it was posted in-store today that said "double coupons up to $2, limit of 10 coupons per day per customer, no more than 4 like coupons" no mention of p&g only coupons...but that is my store...others might not even have it posted..

Mine had the same. It looked the same as it always does with no mention of P&G only. I did see in our P&G brand saver that it mentioned doubling coupons at K-Mart, but that is in our brand saver every time K-Mart has doubles. Usually, though, our K-Mart ad has a little box detailing double coupons but it didn't this time. I did go yesterday and mine is doubling, though.
