Hy-Vee in the Omaha area is having a 6 hour sale on 10/3 from 8-2.

I do know that hy-vee milk will be .99 a gallon. (do not know about limits)
Do not know much else about it but just a heads up on the sale.

(DH works for Roberts Dairy and they bottle hy-vee milk so this is how I know this much) Hy-vee is ordering huge amount of milk so Roberts is having extra people work to deliver the milk so they are anticipating a huge sale. Maybe we will get lucky and be no limits.

Yar I saw that in the Faribault ad. I really hope they're doing it here in Keokuk! There's .99/lb 80/20 ground beef limit 2,
.69 Coke 2 liters
.99 Shredded cheese
.29/lb bananas
$3.99/3 lbs chicken breast
.99/lb roll sausage
.88 twin count Noxzema razors
There's more but I'm nak atm. Is Omaha a Sun start? I'm just wondering if we have it if it'll be on a different day as we're Wed start.

My ad starts on Wed.

I hope the milk price is a misprint of $2.29 (probably so people do not go wild and wait until then to buy milk)
Milk around here is cheaper than the $2.29
Aldi's is $1.69
Dillions is $2.18 this week so $2.29 is not a good price.

Some other good buys though.
I am in need of chicken breast so I will be getting them.

Our Aldi's has milk at either $1.89 or $1.99...how come I don't remember seeing milk in the ad? Guess I need to go back over it. Typically Keokuk sales are on Thurs or Fri and I'm hoping they pick one of those for ours instead of Sat. Never know what plans one will have that interfere with a Sat sale!

I am pretty excited about this sale! I think we'll make it a family outing Saturday morning so we can get several of the ground beef limit 2's.

Off to see if I have any coupons for the Tony's pizza.

If you are referring to the Sara Lee bread that's because it's a week long deal and not part of the 6 hour sale. If you're not talking about the Sara lee bread, then I have no idea because I have no bread on my 6 hour wrap-around. Here is what is on my wrap-around:

HyVee milk 1 gallon .99-limit 1
80% 1lb roll ground beef .99 limit 2
Spring river farms boneless chicken breast 3lb bag $3.99
M&M/Mars candy 10/$4
Bakery Donut holes 18ct .99
Aim/Pepsodent toothpaste, GermX 2.5oz, Noxzema/Old Spice razors 2ct, Power bar Gel Blasts raspberry or strawberry, VO5 Shampoo or Conditioner .88
HyVee salad .99
Carnations .25 each
Farmland sausage 1lb roll .99
Tony's pizza .77
Dole Bananas .29/lb
Busch/Busch light beer 24pack cans $15.99 (is that a good price for beer? I'm on a beer bread kick and I don't drink and I think the hubby would prefer I stop using his Natty Ice for bread lol)
Coke 2 liters .69
HyVee deli sliced ham .99/lb
HyVee shredded cheese 8oz .99
Hyvee Ice cream 1/2 gallon squares $1.18

Woot. Me an my mom went around 7ish and filled our carts up while no one else was there. Also picked up some other things we needed and we both walked out with overflowing carts lol. FYI the sausage is ONLY the pork and bacon, it was a misprint in the ad, but my HyVee was great and gave me the original at the .99 price anyway. Also the HyVee skim milk is currently ringing up wrong at $2.55. Make sure you either watch as the items go thru or you check your receipt BEFORE leaving the store. Those were the only two that had problems. Coke products were well stocked at my HyVee, however there may be stock issues with the chicken breast, sausage and hamburger. They have the deli ham pre-sliced over by the deli btw. My mom and I checked out at about 10 after and the parking lot was FULL, like Black Friday full lol.

If you were lucky enough to buy one of those Hy-Vee Fundraiser coupon books you might have: .40 off Sara Lee bread and $5 off $50.

Holy moly was it crazy this morning! Have these Saturday sales always been so packed or is it the recession? We only recently figured out that these sales happen so I wasn't sure. The last one was super busy too but I think this one even more so. They were honoring all kinds of the sausage at the Urbandale/Douglas store. The organic Dole bananas were my fav deal at 29 cents/lb. My 3 little boys eat them like monkeys so even though they were already almost ripe I think we'll use them and if not I'll freeze for smoothies or bread. Loved the ground beef sale too and getting 99 cent gallons of milk makes my day! Yay.

We were at HyVee Monday too for the Monday sale. I wonder how often they'll be doing these now.

Glad people are finding bargains!

OMG! there were cars parked a block and a 1/2 away- I'm not that desperate for .99 milk! sometimes- TIME is worth money- I'll spend the $2 at another store, and get out in 5 min. vs. 1 hr.

Thinking of stopping again or trying to PM at Fareway or Wal-Mart.

Smacking my head over here! Never even thought of going to WM to price match :rolleyes24:.

It actually wasn't too awful (once I managed to find a parking place). Spent a little over $50, walked out with 5 rain checks, total time to park & shop 40 minutes.

Was dismayed that I read the Saturday paper after I shopped and there was a Q for $1/2 Tony's in this weekends inserts. Oh well :shrug7:.

I'm located in Mount Pleasant and our store was PACKED! I got there right about 8:00am and there were barely any carts left.
It was definitely a good sale for me. I hope they do more like that.

My Hyvee has never been so busy, but they had all the registers open and enough staff to keep things stocked. I did have to get a rain check for the sausage and pizzas, but now I have enough time to find some q's to go with them. I did have Fareway comp some of the deals also. My sister said hers in Des Moines were too busy so she drove to Ankeny. I also scored Kraft American Sliced Cheese for .50. That was not part of the 6 hour sale. I am going to check tomorrow to see if they have more.

I didn't even think of doing this with the ground beef. My brother and his gf did the same thing and they scored 10 lbs too. Kicking myself now because we go thru a ton of beef when we get in the mood for Mexican.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well stocked they were for this sale. We didn't get there til 11 and it was still CRAZY. People were emptying shelves as fast as they were restocking. DH came with me so we could get 2 each of the ground beef. And then we went to a 2nd Hyvee and did it again. All the checkouts were open and we never waited in line more than 5 minutes. I was shocked.

Oh and my Hyvee (Sante Fe, in Olathe, KS) had a bunch of the Dole Salads 50 cents a bag. All different kinds!
