I'm not sure if this exists, but I would be interested to see if they hike up their prices before the triples this time. Some of their prices during the last double/triple event were pretty high.

No price book, If i find a spare hour or 4, i will go check out some prices.. but my guess, is if i waste that time to do that they are going to jack the rates up like they did last time :)

So i would venture to say, whatever the price of something is now, it will be atleast .20-.30 cents higher possibly.

I just confirmed with a cashier at bigg's and she said that it does start on fri oct 2. Since they are closing 24 hour and opening at 6am the computers will be ready at 10 am not at 6am when they open the doors.

Could you refresh my memory, as to how the Triples works at Bigg's - I've only done it once before. Is it triple up to and including 50¢ and everything up to and including $1.00 doubles? I forget, but that sounds about right.

triple qs .01 to .50

example:
.25 = .75
.35 = 1.05
.40= 1.20
.50 =1.50


Dbl qs .55 to $1
--------------
ex:
.55 = 1.10
.75 =1.50
1.00 =2.00
anything over $1 face value

essentially remember:

* a .35 q and a .55 are worth about the same (.35x3 =1.05 and .55x2 =1.10)

*a .40 and a .60 are worth the same! .40x3 =1.20 .60x2 =1.20

*a .50 and a .75 q are worth the same .50x3=1.50 .75x2 =1.50

*the best coupons to have are .50 and 1.00, with 1.00 being worth the most!
* 90% of the time u wont get overage, only dbl and triple up to the price of the item
ex: if poptarts are 1.80 and u have a 1.00/1 q u will only get 1.80 off. this is just an example.

Say you'd like to get 6 of something (how many of us only get 2 of something when on sale?!) 3 transactions, 3 seperate trips, and you cant go at night any more...


i have 4 things on my list of which 3 are for my cats... lol i don't see me taking 18 trips to find everything. If they are trying to compete with Kroger, to me, it's failing.

You know, I am with you Manders13, I reallly have to think about if this will be worth the prep time. Last time I was unimpressed with the prices and it took so much time to prepare, and then they sold out of the things I wanted very fast. hmm . . .

BUMMER!!!! And here I was so excited that we'd be able to really "cash" in like last time. But I'm with everyone else. I'll take a few minutes to see what q's I have around $.75-$1 and see if there is something i'd really like/need...then I might venture out. But I'm doubtful. At least not as many times as I did last time. And this stupid up to 2 thing. Seriously...I mean...seriously. :shrug7:

Tkd - That would be AWESOME!! :BigHand: I just don't know if my mind (or my family :hysterical:) could handle triples every month! But I sure would give it a try!! I could only imagine all the great deals to be had if it was every month!!! Let's hope!
