From previous weeks posts, I've read that some stores double 5 of the same coupons per order, while others double an unlimited amount of the same coupon. I figured it could be helpful for all if we made a list of how many each store doubles in a single order. I'm not sure what my store does (Yardville, NJ).

From my experiance, I haven't been limited yet. I've only been shopping Acme since the $30/15 craziness in August. I've used as many as 16? coupons at once for the Reese's 8 packs (.55/1). That day the SCO girl tried to tell me there was a limit of 5 after something beeped (Cheerios mix coupon maybe). But in fact the issue was I was working the wrong coupon pile for the order I was doing (I had three orders, and mixed the coupons up!).

The only time they ever tell me there's something wrong with my coupon is when it beeps and they come up with some creative 'rules' at those times.
I wish sometimes they'd just say "I don't know" instead of making things up...anywho...I shop

Just FYI, I know that some of you have stated that your store limits your number of coupons that double--that is not corp. policy. You need to call the corp number and say something. I just was on the phone with them recently and was told I could go in with 100 coupons and they would need to double all 100 coupons that is corp policy--there is no limit. He told me he would send a copy to the store that was giving customers a hard time so they would be up to date on the policy.

I shop in Limerick, Pa and have never been limited, I usually try to stick to 4ish of the same coupon unless more of the same item is needed for a deal.

Kristy,
I don't know about that. I used to shop at Ryders Lane Acme in Millstone(? not sure of the city since i only pass through) and they started limiting to 3 of same 1-2 months ago. I called corporate and asked if that was a policy and was very clearly told that each store has the right to make that decision and enforce it. all registers have a printed sign stating that 3 of same is the limit. I stopped shopping at that store.
I also tried to shop at Shrewsbury NJ Acme and they will not take more that one of same coupon because according to them the coupons say "one per purchase" and that means only one Q can be used. I tried to go up the chain there and found that it is enforced all the way to the top.
This is also the store that told me that the only IP they will accept is the one that states on it that it is "manufacturers INTERNET coupon". they have a printed policy on that actually. none of it makes any sence so I don't shop there either.

That is really strange because I did just talk to corp about a week ago and then was called by the store that gave me an issue. So corp did follow through with the store and was updated on the policy. You may want to try again maybe?

Sorry to hear you are having an issue too.

I shop at the Acme in Philadelphia, Pa. on Oregon avenue and they have never limited my coupons. I think the most I have ever used in one transaction was 40 or 50. I only use that many when it is a very good deal and I know that I may not be able to make it back before the sale ends.

I don't understand why some Acme's limit the number of coupons. Don't they know that they are losing tons of money by doing this. I am not sure who comes up with the final decison to only accept 1-3 coupons but if you ask me they are clueless about how much money they are costing the store

OK, answered my own question for my Yardville, NJ ACME. Used a Rain Check on 6 rolls of Viva paper towels from the sale a few weeks ago when they were $1.99. I used 6 coupons and all of them doubled. So I guess that I have no doubling limits here.

I have never been limited at Yardville, or on Rt. 1 but the one on Rt 33 the limit is 5 per day and they are sticklers!!! I try to avoid that store as much as possible because most of their daytime cashiers HATE coupons or maybe just me..........LOL

I was in the Easton MD Acme tonight and the cashier didn't want to use more then one of my vitamin water coupons. Kept saying "it says 1 per purchase" blah blah. I only had 8 coupons but she was upset they were going to double. Asst manager said if they scan, put them through. Never had an issue before at Acme. I think she was mad cause I did the same transaction yesterday in her line.

I used 10 of the same coupon at Acme Woodbury tonight no problem for the Kelloggs deal. I never have any problem at the Mantua or Swedesboro one either I guess its just certain cashiers.

King of prussia
Exton

Phoenixville is a HORRIBLE store in general.. Their store manager is SO rude..

Limerick's store manager is awesome, but they told me one day I could have only 8 of each item.. mind you, i had 10 of the 10/10.00 cereal cups! LOL

Dresher has told me several times they will only double 6 of the same coupon. Flourtown has never given me a specific number, but I try not to push it too much. Horsham I think told me 5 or 6 a few times. I think it depends on who you talk to there. They can be annoying.

Middlesex NJ has the cashiers enforce a limit of 4 coupons per person or order or something like that. Its a tiny store and they ended up with no stock after a sale a couple of years ago. The Ryders Lane store is in Milltown NJ- with the sign of "3 coupons items per day" a few months ago and recently they have taped shut the coupon slot in the self check out with a sign saying to give the coupons to the self check out person.

I always try to use the self checkout lane (Easton MD) and have not had any issues with the cashiers yet.I have used up to 5 on the same product.
